Breakfast is very nice first we booked for 2 business travellers and online we requested for breakfast 2nd day we booked for one more business traveller - we forgot to request of breakfast - while called to Hotel - they replied now its chargeable basis. we dont mind to charge - but its so high. secondly, if we invite business personnel for dinner, it seems the meal is very costly compared to neighbouring area.

parking, reception, room & its services - all is excellent - except charges of meal. whel on business tour we are out for whole day but evening dinner we love to taek food in hotel only but its so costly

Friendly and attentive staff who are always helpful & willing to go the extra mile. Typical of East African hospitality, from front of house, restaurant staff & housekeeping. Clean and comfortable rooms which are modern, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and efficient air conditioning. Delicious breakfast buffet which offers a variety of options, including continental and Swahili dishes. Lastly, convenient location providing easy access to the city center and beach areas.

Limited Gym Facilities as the environment is relatively small and may not accommodate more than 3–4 guests at a time. Occasional slow service particularly during peak times like check-in/check-out processes. In addition, Room service when there a lot of patrons.

While my overall experience at The Crown Hotel was positive, there are a few areas that could be enhanced to elevate guest satisfaction even further. At times, service during check-in hours was slightly delayed, However, that was a minor issue that did not significantly impact the quality of my stay. The hotel still offers great value, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. Hence, I would confidently recommend it to travelers seeking comfort and convenience.

I really liked specifically the fact that every one without exception, was always smiling. I also liked the colors of the building as well as the room. They were sobre, modern and gave a very nice effect. I also liked the fact that the place was very neat and clean and room service was regular. The room was well equipped with a mini bar, plenty of supplies like shampoo and conditioner and even body cream in real size bottles instead of the small samples you usually get at other hotels. I also liked the fact that the hotel was in a bit of a corner of the road and not on the main road which means it was very quiet. Also, there are various facilities like the supermarket “Maisha” at the “City Mall” nearby which is like 15 minutes walking distance.

They don’t accept USD notes before 2009 which was a bit of an issue when checking out to pay the airport shuttle.

We were staying at another property and moved to the Crown Plaza because we were a little uncomfortable at the other location. The front desk allowed us to check in early and were very helpful and friendly. Very safe with great security. They even had an ice machine with ice made from purified water.

Some of the staff recognized me from my stay earlier this year. Ample amenities in the room (good housekeeping). Great breakfast. Enjoyed using the gym. Good location. Clean and safe.

Had to ask for some things that took a while to get. Coffee or tea sometimes took a long time to get. Saw a guest cough and sneeze over the buffet, Maybe, have some disinfectant in public areas. I can't recall if this was there. I did see some in the gym.

From check-in to check out, staff were very good. My room faced the road. I would have liked a room with a balcony and pool view. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Great rain shower and a clean bathroom as well. Really appreciated the free bottles of water in room every day, as well as replenishing coffee, tea and toiletries. Was also very happy that the air-conditioning unit worked efficiently. Wonderful breakfast as well with eggs made to order. I had the best cappuccino outside of Italy. I also got to use the gym for a couple of days. Good location and central. To all the staff, thank you for a wonderful stay and all the little talks, laughs and smiles.

There wasn't a bathrobe or slippers in room as indicated on Booking. I had my own anyway. It would be a nice touch to have a box of tissues in the room.

The staff were really friendly and super helpful (we had an early check in request which they helped us with. The room was nice and clean and in a safe part of town. We also left something in our room which the hotel looked after for us until we could pick it up a week later.

The bathroom and toilet doors are ever so slightly see through, so privacy might be an issue for some!

First time to stay at the Crowne Plaza. It exceeded my expectations on all fronts. The staff were particularly welcoming and responsive. The room was spacious, and very clean and the food delicious.

Would definitely recommend. The rooms are nicely insulated and quiet and perfectly clean. Everything seems very new. Great staff and amenities.

The gym is very small with not a lot of space to actually work out. The pool is also very small and in the middle of the compound so every one can see you.
