Four Points was nice and pleasant in all the ways that really matter when travelling. Very comfortable rooms. They left an apple and banana in the room every day so you had a little something to start your day. There were recycling bins in the room (which the 5-star Hyatt hotel did not have). They arranged for my 3am airport pick up which was flawless. When the ATM wasn't accepting my debit card, they happily exchanged USD for TZ shillings. The power in the rooms shut down when you left which is good for the environment (even if you have to wait a little for your room to cool back down). Other hotels keep the rooms freezing always and it's incredibly wasteful.

I wish breakfast was included with my room stay. There are different options and I got the one where breakfast was an additional $20 USD. That is pretty high so I went around the corner to Orchid Cafe for a perfectly lovely and cheaper breakfast there. Also, the road outside was under heavy construction which made walking a few blocks rather unpleasant (I say this as someone who has experience traveling to many places). I ended my stay preferring to take a uber/taxi, even if it was a 7 min walk. Somewhat embarrassing but also solo female traveler. Also the roads are not the hotel's fault. All of Dar's roads are under construction for a 2027 football tournament. So should be solved relatively soon given the rapid pace they're working at.

The restaurant staff provided exceptional service, with Chef Pankaj and Vishal standing out in particular. They both went above and beyond to accommodate my specific requests for food types and spice levels. Their willingness to cater to my preferences was truly impressive. I deeply appreciate the extra effort they put in to ensure my stay was comfortable and that my dining experience was tailored perfectly to my needs. Their dedication significantly enhanced my overall experience, making it memorable and enjoyable.

The evening manager called as soon as I got into the hotel room around 11pm to say I hadnt paid for breakfast hence I wld need to pay for it if I go to the restaurant in the morning. He ddnt even greet me let alone welcome me to the hotel. I told him to learn to greet customers first and welcome them to the Sheraton before anything else happens else.

Loved our stay at the Four Points, which felt like an oasis amid the heat. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to take advantage of the $80 for eight hours since we had a late flight out one night. Great wifi, nice pool, incredibly comfy room.

Would be nice to have a water refilling station for our water bottles so we don't have to keep using plastic ones.

Nice and modern hotel in the city centre. Staff was helpful and always smiling. Room had all comforts and facilities you might need. Clean.

Outdoor pool was nice but had lots of broken tiles around it which should be fixed. It was not possible to open windows in our room. I thought breakfast at the hotel was too expensive for Tanzania so ended up having breakfast at a local cafe which was much better value. The beach shown on photos does not exist anywhere near the hotel (not within walking distance).

The check in process was very quick and we were impressed with the room service delivery. Every staff member greeted us kindly.

We invited a question for breakfast and was told we had to pay separate billing for our meal and separate billing for our guest. In other words, our guest meal was not allowed to be charged to our room. It seemed unusual. Otherwise, every aspect of breakfast was wonderful.

Room was always spotless when I got back. Some exceptional attention-to-details skills there!

Nothing I could think of. Just don’t get a room in 6th floor, because the floor above is a conference venue and it got really loud the night before when they were setting it up.

Amazing location, incredible staff. In particular, I would like to acknowledge Delfine. She is an excellent ambassabor for the Four Points Marriott hotel and was a tremendous aid in assisting me with a sudden change in my travel plans, so far as accompanying me to the travel agency. She should be commended by the Mariott organization for her dedication in providing sevices beyond what was required and upholding the excellent hospitality standards of the Mariott organization.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a upgrade for the room because of maintenance and the room was very nice, comfortable and clean.

The hotel could accommodate customers who regularly order food in the hotel and leave money in the hotel, in a unique situation and be able to heat up food even if it was not food from the hotel 1 time. We had this service in numerous other good hotels, but unfortunately it is not possible here.

We had a great overall stay and truly enjoyed our time at Four Points by Sheraton Dar es Salaam. While the staff were generally efficient, a little more warmth and proactiveness in their interactions would have elevated the experience further. However, this didn't significantly detract from our enjoyable visit.
