Location is great, Central Business District of Dar es Salaam. Fantastic front desk staff, Zainab and Edmund were very helpful and receptive. Zainab and the Duty manager on the 22nd helped us check-in ahead of the 2pm check-in time after a very long trip. Very good selection of breakfast, in my 5 days there, the menu was always different, try the Hibiscus drink and the Tropical drink, mix both and tank me later. Kitchen staff were also very nice and helpful. The Chef went out of his way to help my friends check-in after their day trip to Zanzibar on the day we arrived. When they asked him why he was helping out, he said "when customers are happy, we are all happy". Hotel manager also gave I and my friends (12 of us) a complimentary dinner on our last night at the hotel. Good hot water pressure, very good air conditioning, good view of the CBD and port from my room, stocked mini bar, soundproof room, fast elevators, comfortable bed and cleaning staff also do a good job. They also spray insecticides in the rooms every day. Good fragrance in the rooms and walkways/corridors. Very fast and reliable WiFi.

The view from our room was absolutely stunning, making our stay even more special. The highlight of our experience was the unexpected room upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise. Breakfast was another standout—there was an incredible variety of delicious food and fresh juices, catering to all tastes. It was the perfect way to start the day!

If I had to mention one small drawback, it would be that the rooms could use a little refreshing, as the air felt a bit dusty at times. However, this did not take away from our overall enjoyment, and the hospitality and comfort made up for it.

The hotel is located very central, the port can be reached in a few minutes by foot. The rooms are very comfortable with an extraordinary view over the city. On the upper floor there is a restaurant with good ambience and food and super city view. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The hotel staff is extremely kind and helps in all matters. I used the hotel several times during my Tanzania/Zanzibar trip and and each time it felt like "coming home"

The large bus terminals are quite far away so a taxi is needed. But the hotel staff is very helpful to call a taxi.

Exceptional staff and service, extremely humble &committed staff, the Rooms extremely clean, the beds are high quality spring .bed. I was humble by the aptitude of the management, the MD was highly professional. I will like to visit again and again. The location of the property was the first attraction, it's in a good location. They have the best management team.

I was disappointed about their gym not being functional but was assured it will come up this Monday. They only closed to upgrade and it is ready now.

Staff was wonderful—kind, thoughtful, always helpful. Breakfast was delicious with many choices and staff very kind and eager to please. Lovely view from the room.

I had problems with the electrical outlets—most were not powerful enough to charge my devices and the one that was (where the fridge is plugged in) was so powerful it overheated my computer. I was not able to use Wi-Fi so I used data. The door key had to be recharged several times.

The venue itself is exceptional - it's impeccably clean, remarkably tranquil, and exceedingly comfortable. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, which proves indispensable in managing the heat of Dar es Salaam. Furthermore, guests are provided with a personal fridge in their rooms, perfect for storing beverages, and there's even a coffee maker available for those who enjoy a good cup of joe, like myself.

As for the dining experience, it's nothing short of exquisite. The meals served are of the highest quality, and the staff members are incredibly friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall enjoyment of the stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! The staff are amazing!! They were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Everyone from the security, to staff who helped with our bags to front of house staff really helped make our stay. They offered assistance and advice on our visit to Tanzania as a whole. The hotel has a lot of facilities on offer, incl. a gym and shop. The breakfast also offers a variety of options to choose from. We will definitely be staying here when we visit Dar es Salaam again.

So much was so good! All of the staff were friendly, courteous, helpful and kind, and looked after us incredibly well. Of particular note was one of the managers, Arunima, who went to extraordinary lengths to comp us late check out and sort our transportation to the aeroport Our Junior Suite (a big surpise, as we had booked a regular double room!) was huge, with a glorious sea view and a jacuzzi. Aircon was silent and worked perfectly. Suite had every amenity that we could need or want and was very comfortable and quiet. Entire property was spotlessly clean and very well maintained; lounges and public areas were comfortable and welcoming Big, bright breakfast room with an incredible buffet, including fresh coconuts and outdoor patio with awesome views. Lunch and dinners in the onsite restaurant were phenomenal Cool neighbourhood in a cool city, friendly folks, easy to navigate on foot as safe as anywhere in the world I have been, and within walking distance to Zanzibar ferries

Have to stretch to find something to complain about...okay, the shower door needs to be adjusted so it seals better and stops water from leaking out. The hotel does not serve alcohol, but there are pubs and other hotels very close by

During our short stay, we had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional hospitality from Arumina, Luqman, and Judith. Their warm and welcoming nature made our time there truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, Arumina greeted us with a genuine smile and offered us a refreshing welcome drink. Luqman efficiently checked us in and provided all the necessary information about the facilities and nearby attractions even though there was an error on dates booked. Arumina attention to detail and eagerness to assist us in any way possible made us feel instantly at home. Luqman, the concierge, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience. Nice room choice. He patiently answered all our questions and provided insightful recommendations for local restaurants and activities. His friendly demeanour and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay even more enjoyable. Judith, the housekeeping and admin staff, maintained our room impeccably with help from housekeeping. Every day, we returned to a spotlessly clean and well-organized space. Arumina even took the time to arrange for little room defects.

Though it was a very short trip.. nothing! I have stayed at the Johari rotana.. Regency Hyatt, Sea cliff hotel.. coral beach resort .. and sister branch at Masaki and this city plaza is excellent.. good value for money!!
