Amazing location, right on the beach with beautiful sunset. Also sunset dhow boats leave from the beach here. Good menu and food.

The only thing that needs improvement is the logistics of the serving of food. It was unreasonably long waiting times for all meals. Could not observe it was lack of staff, but it looked like many guest experienced the same problem.

The room was very nice, perfect size with an amazing super king size bed, extremely comfortable. The resort was quiet, we could sleep very well at night, relaxing, no noises, it was fantastic. The beach was big and clean, with service available at your umbrella. The staff was extremely nice and polite, they really made our holiday.

The management of our “FULL BOARD”, which was not clear at all. It was comprised of 1 starter, 1 main, 1 dessert and 1 soft drink per person. We had a limited choice from the menu, meaning that certain dishes were not included in our full board, and if we wanted to try, we had to pay. Similarly, on Saturday night the management organised a barbecue buffet, but even there with the full board, we could only have either 1 starter and 1 main or 1 main and 1 dessert, and of course, we could not choose everything from the menu, because the best dishes were not included.

I loved the location and the general hotel area. The beach is beautiful and there is a great beach bar area and places to lounge in the sun

The breakfast was not interesting. Too many choises of food that wasn’t good. That’s not unusual for Zanzibar. The eggs/omelet was almost the only thing worth eating. I’d prefer 3-5 well prepared options and good coffee and a glass of freshly made juice. The instant coffee was better than the brewed coffee. The service in the restaurant was slow, even for Africa, the waiters are nice but the experience is that of poor management. Not that the staff is bad, they just don’t seem to know what they should do.

Mostly the people , kind and caring staff , perfect location off the hotel 🏖️ Customer relations manager Wema was amazing , always circulating and talking to people making sure everyone is enjoying themselves . Staff at the beach and restaurant were so lovely , so attentive , always greeting you with a big smile . Ibrahim was serving as at the beach , every day we would have a pleasure off seeing him , massive smile, ,very sweet ! Thank you everyone especially to Manager Wema that made my Birthday so special and Ibrahim from the beach bar 😊 Definitely coming again and staying at Kedwa Rocks hotel 😊

Very hard to answer , minor things such wifi , towels in the room could need an upgrade .

My wife and I travel all over the world nearly full time. This is one of the best properties we have chosen in every respect. The beach was amazing with white soft sand and clear turquoise water. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming eager to fulfill any and every guest request especially Neha, the guest relations manager. Great place to just chill or experience their many activities. The restaurant was excellent including the dinner service. We recommend visiting Zanzibar and choosing the North shore and Kendwa Rocks resort. 10 out of 10.

We only wish we could have spent more time at Kendwa Rocks.

Perfect location. Spacious room. Very clean beach with lots of activities there. Excellent open buffet breakfast.

There is no wardrobe or hangers in the room to hang our clothes. Only shelves are available. Also, there was no mirror inside the room either. Only a small bathroom mirror is there Lighting is dim inside the room. Two main bulb were not working but the maintenance fixed only one of them. . Check-in process was not up to the standanrd. I had to wait for a long time till I got my room. Original check-in time was 2 pm. I reached the hotel at around 9 am, the receptionist promised to give us our room around 1.30 pm since I'm a Booking level 3 genious customer and elegible for early check in. Yet, I didn't get the room untill 2:18 pm. The receptionist did not even apologize for the delay.

This is my 2nd time in Kendwa Rocks. Hotel has located at one of the best location of Zanzibar. Long and perfect beach, much beautiful than any others in Nungwi. Best place to stay and relax. Sea water pool and pool bar also is a good activity. Rooms are clean.

Since 2018 nothing has improved for breakfast. If the breakfast is good I definitely say that hotel is 5 star. Also during our stay dates city tax has been reduced to 1$ from 8$ but when we complainted about that they did not accept it due to our reservation date. I would like to pay the current city tax which dates I had stayed but they did not accept.

Beautiful property with everything from dining to entertainment to a private beach and parties available. Everyday of the week there is something interesting happening at the property. Try and book a weekend and have some real crazy fun. If in Kendwa, we highly recommend this property.

After 10pm no services are available. No water no food. Being such a big and self sufficient property, a late night in room dining menu and drinking water both should be available. It’s not necessary everyone wants to eat dinner and call in n an early night. Moreover, considering nothing is open near the hotel, late night in room dining menu and water availability is a must.

Was very clean , comfortable and spacious

Perfect location on the nice Kendwa beach where is possible to swim in the sea (ocean) during low tide. Many restaurants nearby the accommodation (we recommend Furaha restaurant). Area of hotel is guarded 24/7 by security and hotel reception is also 24/7. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free for accommodated guests. Tasty breakfasts served by buffet with all you can imagine. Very helpful and smiley staff. Clean and equiped room with A/C, fridge, hairdrier, safe.

Sometimes long time of waiting for beach food/drinks service - mainly during lunch time. Strange system of payment in cash by main cashier - means staff get money, have to go like 200m to main cashier for change and came back to you = it take quite a time. Lot of "outsiders" guests from other hotels coming to beach sunbed area - paid fee and spend day in there = quite crowded in the afternoon.
