Spectacular resort, stunning views and well equipped beach villa with private pool. It was a really good choice and I am happy I have selected to stay in the resort without any previous recommendations. The resort hasnt fully finished yet but this hasnt impacted our stay at all. Everything was up to perfectness. The food is amazing 5* at Mama Africa restuarant where they host different events daily on dinners with beautifully served and delicious dishes, different options and out of the menu orders can be requested to be prepared by the Chef. Special thanks to the whole team running the restaurant from the Chef to Leo F&B manager, Roman and Sam and all the others that we met and didnt catch their names. Beautiful vibes amzing background local music played delicious recipes and everything just fresh from the sea or their homemade gardens.... We had 5 night stay and honestly haven't got bored to even think of leaving the resort. Anja, Radka and Emmanuel thanks for all the support and quick reposnse in resloving things and providing all the necessity when required. Special thanks aswell to Emmanuel for supporting in all the personal needs when requested helping to rent a vehicle and issuing driving permit etc... So dont worry on anything if planning to travel to Zanzibar and stay at Ycona resort, you will be sorted out with all you need. I would definitely rate it 5+ star and would be my permenant choice selection for all planned future revisits to Zanzibar. Great team, ambiance , views, accommodation. I didnt like that 5 days trip was short and should have stayed between 7 to 10 nights... only means that another trip will be planned again soon .

Ycona was easy to locate once we got to Marumbi. The resort itself was absolutely stunning! We arrived in the evening when the sun was setting which gave us the perfect welcome with a breathtaking view of our pool side and beach front.

Although our intention was to be away from the noise of the city center, there were days we decided to do some tourism but everything was about an hour away so the car rides were long. There was nothing about the resort that we didn't like.

Actually the environment was amazing , Staff so friendly , the communication with management or the staff was easy, quick response for any issue happened , how the Villa design and the privacy was great

I recently took my girlfriend to Ycona Luxury Resort in Zanzibar to celebrate her birthday, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The resort is set in an amazing, peaceful, and serene location right by the ocean, offering stunning views and the perfect setting for relaxation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Enzo, our main point of contact, along with the entire reception team and housekeepers, were all wonderful. I want to give a special shout-out to Ernest, Emile and Samwel at the restaurant for their outstanding service, and to the chef who went above and beyond to accommodate my girlfriend's vegan dietary needs. The vegan pancakes, smoothies, and meals were absolutely delicious and made her day. We also enjoyed a one-hour massage that was pure bliss, leaving us completely relaxed. The room was impeccably clean and welcoming, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. The kindness and willingness of the staff to accommodate our every request were exceptional, making my girlfriend’s birthday truly unforgettable. - Amazing villas (new and clean) - Nice tour information - Very professional and nice personal - Very nice food with good variety (all inclusive is very recommended) - Nice animation every night - Very good room equipment including nice towels, shampoo/ shower gels, good coffee machines and air conditioners - Good communication with the personal using whatsapp.

I would have loved to give my first 10 in booking if these small imperfections wouldn't exist, I will definitely go back to see the improvements (as part of the hotel still under construction): - not many variety of drinks for all inclusive (classic cocktails such as margarita, espresso maritini and more wines should be included) - Cleaning of the villas is very basic for Luxury ressort (clothes are left on the ground), swimming pool not cleaned well. - The main swimming pool should be cleaned more often, also many Ants on the floor that are disturbing, also many flies in the restaurant. - Although the hotel is cleaning the beach daily, the traditional way is not solving the issue, they need a better solution to it cleaner quickly and efficiently

The place is absolutely beautiful to look at, i could not fault that at all. In my opinion it looks and feels like the most luxurious place in Zanzibar.
