The location of the hotel is a big plus, it faces a small lane which is parallel to the main road where the ferry terminal is located. Reaching stone town is a 5 min walk from here. If a hotel in the narrow alleys of stone town is a bit too much, this hotel is a great alternate. Plenty of taxis one you come to the main road. The bathroom is nice and spacious whereas the room itself is a bit cramped with not much place to store luggage. There is a elevator with power backup so even a room on the 4th floor is okay.

The shortcomings of the hotel are not due to the operator of the hotel but due to the hotel design itself. There is a full height atrium connecting all the floors with a waterfall wall. This is very poor design as any sounds from any floor is amplified and easily heard in the rooms. The room doors should have been soundproof but it not. The result is constant noise at all times. Next, the bathroom door is see through glass. Even a couple staying would find it weird. Breakfast is best skipped as they serve only limited stale food. Fruits are served one slice at a time which is taking the meaning of "budget" to the the next level

Was really near my other hotel which did not have any more vacancy just walked there. Not close...not far from center, just rigth. Little dark but there is securoty around entrance. The rooms are great. Comfy! AC is inwall but we have the control. Key card lock easy to carry) Showe is Humongus! Loved it. Nice shower head, hot water comes a little slow but fine. There is a mini fridge under the table but did not notice it until next day. No view but curtains are thick enough if need to sleep in.

Someone had posted a photo of next door hotel pool. So was disapointed when i found out there was none. The elevator was broken. fo 2 days. had 2 go 3 fligth of stairs everytime. No view from my room. Breakfast was deficient. Most of it you need to order to server, Takes a while. One had sausage but it's just hotdog wienners and when i ask for 3 the cook said no...only 2! But no issue for extra pancake ot other items.... I mean for the Hotel price...1 hotdog! being turned down by the cook? The rest of food is just ok , the fruits were not great. I wish they had oranges, There is a guy selling them outside the main gate for 300 shillings (15 cents) and they are amazing!

We loved everything about this hotel. The room is a bit small, but was enough and comfortable for us. Clean bathroom and the water pressure was really good. They have elevator and it worked all 4 days we stayed. The elevator was the decisive factor which determined us to choose this hotel and we didn't regret it. Nice location near the ferry port to mainland and walking distance to Foradhani Park. We enjoyed a lot our daily walks through Stone Town and also we had a great experience to Prison Island.

Location is good for stone town. Staff make you feel very comfortable. Hotel is clean. Rooms are small but sufficient for short stays.

Not part of hotel but the guy at the entrance to the road always ended up in an argument with our taxis or tuk tuk demanding money or some sort of parking fee even just for drop off or collection. . It happened every time we entered or left the premises and usually ended up in shouting and arguing with the driver which is abit uncomfortable. I guess that might just be the rules of the town. In all fairness no one asked us for any payment.

The breakfast is nothing special, but the people are wonderful. Especially the receptionist who is very nice, helpful and professional. Unfortunately, I don't know her name, but she has curly hair.

Bad TV reception. Glass door on the toilet. The glass is tinted, but you can still see inside.

we picked this hotel for our layover in Zanzibar before we flew to Kilimanjaro. they let us check in early which we really appreciated as we needed as much sleep as possible. the location is exceptionally good, close to all famous places in Stone Town. Beds were comfortable, staff was very nice and helpful. Everything was clean!! unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to stay for breakfast as we left later in the evening.

even though it was ok for me and my best friends, the doors from bedroom to bathroom were see-through which could potentially be a problem for some people.

We were fasting in Ramadan and the hotel kindly gave us our early morning meal instead of breakfast. The hotel staff also went out of their way to help us a number of times (exchanging money for us, taking us to the nearest petrol station and supermarket!) Thank you all so much.

The location of the hotel is just behind the main road. Finding the hotel was difficult at first, you have to drive down an alleyway. Also there is no car park, you have to park outside the hotel.

For me excellent location near the ferry terminal and to the sights, sounds, and smells of Stone Town. Nice clean room, good breakfast and reasonable cost.

Only negative was its location was sort of tucked away on a side street and identifying sign not very big.

Staff is very welcoming and they did their best to accomodate us in a best manner possible. Room clean, looking mostly like in photos.we didnt have a time to try real on place breakfast, as we needed to leave hotel earlier, but they were so kind to make someting "to go" so once again thanks for that once again.

Bed is little smaller then expected, bathroom with open bath type, all of those things can be more personal preference, so they are not as important, but noise from AC can be anoying nevertheless.

Unfortunately did not stay long enough to enjoy the facilities..we just overnighted there when our flight was cancelled. It really is beautiful and clean and nice with amazing helpful staff. Megan and front desk staff were amazing...thank you
