We stayed here for 2 nights before moving on to beach areas of Zanzibar. For location in Stone Town, you can ask for much more. Perfect. The hotel itself was great & the staff wonderful. The breakfast at this place is insane! This was part of our honeymoon & they made it that bit extra special. Thankyou

Location, safety, friendly service. Great food and all the staff very friendly and helpful. Room no 3 was spacious and comfortable. Beautifully and sympathetically styled throughout. It’s very stylish in comparison to many other stone town hotels - But it is expensive also. Perfect for a one night stop before/ after the flight.

Our room was on first floor landing and was a bit noisy as people would need to walk past our room. No sound insulation in these lovely old houses in stone town. So don’t expect total peace and quiet in this location. It’s also very expensive and the restaurant whilst good was pricey by comparison to others.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautifully designed interiors and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were exceptional, always friendly and eager to assist with any request. We received everything we needed promptly and efficiently. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes and was also freshly made every day. Every interaction with the staff was positive, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The manager was particularly impressive, always available and ready to help with a smile. The entire team deserves high praise for their dedication and warmth. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience. I will definitely be returning in the future!

Stone town center, 3 minutes walk from the seafront. Tasting the city life and relaxing in a comfortable room with superb beds, even for larger western European body type and weight. 20 minutes ride from the airport, so ideal to not have to travel more than an hour after a 14h flight. The staff was full attention and too kind. Nothing to complain. We stayed 5 nights and would have stayed 5 more nights easy!

Great welcome with cold towels and fresh local drinks, nice rooms with unique decoration. Many things for our use in the room that we did not expect. The food is the best in Zanzibar, so don't miss to take the room with breakfast and dinner. The staff is so professional even if something serious happened to you during your stay. I really advise you to choose this hotel during your stay in Stone Town

No lotion nor vanity kit

We can’t say enough good things about this hotel and its lovely staff. Ruby and other staff were lovely to us when we had issues with our luggage not arriving and when we asked to change rooms due to a noise issue. Breakfast was delicious with lots of great quality food, and the location is super central and close to all the little shops.

Quiet though in the center of Stone Town Service very good. Excellent breakfast I felt very safe wherever I went day or night, just use your normal city street sense.

Be aware this is really in the center of Stone Town. The “streets” are extremely narrow, no vehicles allowed. This is an attraction but be aware that a very short walk will be required from your taxi. Not a negative for me but be aware.

Staff were friendly. They always confirmed first if there were any extras to be charged. The room is comfortable and really feels like a retreat.

Signage for the hotel could be better and more prominent. The location is great and very central in Stone Town, but I wouldn’t stay here if traveling as a solo female because waking back at night can be uncomfortable.

Definitely a gem hidden away to be a pleasant surprise with unique and yummy health conscience food ^&^

Definitely need to add a security system from inside to stop unwanted person just unlock to walk in, either maid service and mosquitoes spray at 9pm when I just walk out of shower.. especially, the crew is male opening my door to embarrassment..

The hotel went the extra mile in terms of style and little details. Not only was the room stylish, but the lighting was superb and high quality traditional robes were provided, as were yoga mats, umbrellas, straw beach bag and even a straw hand held fan. The colours of the room fit in well with the environment and the location was superb for exploring and getting lost in Stone Towns winding roads.

The check in was flawless and the bar staff went well beyond their responsibilities to help with directions and recommendations. There really isn't anything I can fault other than an awkward check out which was probably due to my efforts to settle the bill before check out, which caused confusion with the front desk.
