The hotel is close to all activities within Stone Town and restaurants if you opt to want to eat outside of the hotel. It's also within walking distance to the Night Market at the harbour which is a must while you're in Stone Town. Public transport and tour guides are always available either by arrangement with the hotel or by yourself.

The Wifi at the hotel is not within range at most times, if you manage to connect you get kicked out within a few minutes. Breakfast is a buffet every morning and it may shock the system if you haven't familiarized yourself with the local food hence a visit to the night market is a MUST.

Forodani Park Hotel is located in a perfect location in Stonetown. It was close to the Forodhani Park, water front and restaurants. It was walking distance to many of the places we wanted visit in Stonetown. The breakfast was excellent with variety of foods every morning. The room was nice. Nice bathroom with plenty of toiletries provided. Adequate hot water for the shower. Good lighting. Very comfortable room. Mr. Abdulhamid was a gracious manager/host. I highly recommend this hotel. Good value and location.

I wish the bathroom had more counter space to put your toiletries, etc.

This hotel is in an amazing location - right opposite the old fort and within a minutes walk of the night markets. The room was spacious and cool- we appreciated the air conditioning, the comfortable bed and pillows and the strong, hot shower! We only stayed one night and so didn’t use the pool but it would be a fantastic place to cool off during the hot and humid days. The breakfast was simple but sufficient. We’re thankful that we could leave our bags while we explored the town before our flight.

Good location in Forodhani Park near the evening food market. The beds were comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Although this is no fault of the hotel, staying near Forodhani Park means you have to deal with constant pressure from people selling tours and guide services. We found it quite tedious after awhile The rooms do not have water views. The top story pool is lovely but there is absolutely no shade.

We spent one night, but it was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast had a nice variety of items (eggs, pastries, cereals, fruit, etc.). The location is excellent as it is right across from Forodhani Park and you can enter Stone Town proper very easily. (Stone Town proper is a maze, highly recommend a local guide which the hotel can help secure.)

The property was in a great location. The staff went out of the way to guide us to where we wanted to go in Old Town. They realized we had certain excursions that we needed to be on time for and they assisted us with connections, interpreting conversations and provided delicious quick breakfasts. We could order from the kitchen any time during the day. (Not sure about night) There is a beautiful roof top area with table and chairs, a pool and beautiful breeze with a view of the sunset and city. The rooms were very clean and had good air conditioning with good room service. We felt like family staying there. The front staff went overboard to help us with anything we needed from rides, to needing bottled water, always with a smile. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Abdul walked around and made sure everyone was taken care of with their specific needs. He didn’t wait to be asked - he asked us how he could help.

Breakfast was busy with guests in the mornings. But that’s a good thing really.

The staff are very kind and location is perfect.

The rooftop only has one seating area and the swimming pool loungers has no cushions. We also had to ask for swimming towels. Our stay at a neighbouring hotel had towels available at the pool and each lounger had a cushion. Perhaps something to consider to make the pool area even better.

The staff was excellent! They provided personal service far beyond what would have been considered appropriate . They made arrangements for transfers and tours. They made phone calls to clarify and correct excursion information. The food was very good and readily available. My room was beautiful. The bathroom was a sweet surprise. The entire facility was very clean and beautiful. Just a few minutes walk from shopping and the beach.

It was so noisy, the restaurant is right in the middle of the hotel lobby and, clattering of cutlery early morning was so noisy The rooms did not have any nice views and the bathrooms often had sewage smell

The location was great and felt safe to walk to the market at night. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast had a variety to choose from and you could make a special order.

If you want to have dinner i advice ordering way ahead of time. The day we travelled there was only 1 person available and it took 2 hours to get the food. I wish they could have told us that they do not have capacity to cater for 8 people.
