The hotel is a true gem - in amongst Stone Town and very central but at the same time it was quiet and restful. My room was exceptional and the overall experience was just wonderful. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well.

Some of my colleagues had limited wifi access in their rooms, but where I was, there was no problem at all.

The location was a walking distance from attraction sites and great eateries too. I enjoyed the room I stayed in, it was clean, spacious, and quiet as well. For the breakfast, we got to the restaurant late, close to the end of breakfast time but the team allowed us to select what we wanted and billed us separately since a lot of the options were not available. We still had a good breakfast. The restaurant is at the top of the building so you get some good views as you enjoy your breakfast.

Beautiful building, lovely large room with comfortable bed, fridge with daily bottled water and tea making facilities. Nice garden/bar area. Roof terrace restaurant Taarab - had one meal there which was very nice.

The breakfast buffet selection was rather limited, msinly local or continental style food but had an egg station. The pool was inside a separate building next door and although very nice there were no sunbathing facilities. You could sit in the garden but again this was not set up for sunbathing. It did have pizza oven and they looked very tasty.

The hotel is gorgeous with intricate wood details and all the modern amenities. It's situated in a great little street in Stone Town with easy access to the beach, Freddie Mercury museum, and shopping. Highly recommend having dinner at the rooftop bar- it was a beautiful sunset and delicious food!

We arrived late, so we wished the restaurant was open a bit later. But there's nothing else to complain about!

we had to change our booking for Zanzibar and so we came to this hotel. THe hotel is very clean and the staff is very polite and helpfull. The breakfast on the rooftop is good. The price for this hotel is a little high, but Zanzibar became very touristic

It was always great to finish a big day, to be met by friendly welcome and helpful staff that made you feel like home ... this is my preferred spot in Zanzibar... great location walking distance from everything

The most welcoming, friendly and accommodating staff ever! Waziri Ally from Front Desk was amazing from the moment we walked in. Leonard from the Restaurant was also very friendly and helpful. We loved the room, ambiance, the food, Everything!

Nothing! Our stay was perfect!

All of the staff were friendly and provided efficient service. We arrived early the reception staff stored our luggage securely and our room was available an hour before the actual check-in time. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious and since we arrived on Christmas eve, we got a visit from "Santa" and extra sweet treats. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have a desk and chair incase you need to work or complete forms before moving to your next destination. The Tarab restaurant has reasonably priced, superb quality food. The service is quick and the staff make it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel, as the location is central to majority of the attractions one would see on the walking tour of Stone Town. The Hotel can also assist with arranging a taxi to the airport or to other attractions at a reasonable fee.

Lack of sound proofing in the room. One could hear the conversation of the next hotel room very easily.

the extra amount charged for my spouse who couldn't use any of the amenities except the bed was very steep. overall, the price is expensive

A 4 star hotel surrounded by Stone Town's main 5 star hotels. A pretty great location. Air conditioned lobby which is greeaaat if you visit when it's hot. Rooms felt spacious enough. The staff were really nice and conversational.

There were cockroaches in the rooms. The towels could be of better quality. They look old
