Great location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They will help you organise tours and the prices are often better than on the street. Laundry service great and is by the kilo, not per item. Room was spacious and the grounds are kept well. Great base to go out every day and explore. 50m from the shops and restaurants, or there is a Thai seafood restaurant outside the hotel with great ratings (has some western food too). Would highly recommend.

Location was perfect right near all the action but tucked away in a Soi right next to the great family restaurant. Beds were big and comfy. Spacious room for family. Staff are amazing and great with my kids.friendly resident cat my daughter loved patting. Good priced basic breakfast buffet at 100bht each, kids loved the pancakes they were made fresh for them on request. have a table of things can borrow for pool or beach, toys/goggles/mats etc. really loved the little lounge bench out front of each room. Great spot to sit.

Whilst the pool was great it really needs maintenance. Majority of grout in tiles seems to be gone, on bottom a section of tiles missing all together. Showers need a re-seal as mould in grout and silicone. Due to this didn’t feel super clean to shower in. The shower drain clogs up super quick and water can’t get down quick enough. No complaints with anything else. Perfect stay otherwise

Whalecome Aonang is a small resort with about 20 units all on ground level in a tropical garden setting with a smallish pool. There is a communal seating area overlooking the pool where a good portioned breakfast is served in the morning. Rooms are quite small and minimally furnished and the ensuite bathroom and toilet is somewhat cramped. Each unit has a small verandah with bench seating. Staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful in arranging excursions and onward transport. The location, about 250m from the beach and set back from the main road and 50m up a side lane, makes for relative tranquility in an otherwise bustling tourist area. Shops and restaurants abound close by. The ‘Family Restaurant’ immediately outside the front of Whalecome Resort is highly recommended with delicious and reasonably priced Thai dishes and fabulous and fresh seafood.

Rooms could be more comfortable with improved mattresses and the addition of seating inside.

This hotel is really well located in Ao Nang, literally a minute to the main road with all of the bars, restaurants, tour operators, etc. you could want, and a few minutes walk to the beach where you can get a longtail boat to Railay Beach. The hotel is next door to the Family Thai and Seafood restaurant which seems to be the most popular restaurant in the area, and I highly recommend for some good Thai dishes (tip: always ask for small portions, the medium sizes really are for 2/3 people!). The breakfast at the hotel is decent with a friendly lady there cooking up eggs, pancakes and bacon as you want, and a basic selection of rice and noodle dishes, toast, fruit, etc. The pool area is small, but nice to have a dip, and is well maintained and clean. The rooms are a good size, and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and was very welcome after being out in the heat all day. We booked a mangroves kayaking tour with the hotel and paid less than the advertised price, which was nice. The day went really well and was a great activity to do as the scenery was beautiful; pick-up and drop off was easy and on time. We also booked an airport transfer through the hotel, which went according to plan and meant we didn't have to stress about getting an early morning Grab. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Being able to get soft drinks and beers from the fridge at reception was a bonus. All-in-all a great stay.

I guess because of the humidity, the outside seating area was a bit dirty/mouldy. Basically, the white fence of the terrace area was black and was a bit off-putting, but probably just needed a lick of paint. It wasn't a major issue, but was our first impression of the room. The inside of the room was lovely and clean, so didn't mar our stay.

This hotel is a treasure, especially for the price! It has every single thing whats needed. Rooms are spacious enough, cleaned every day, equipped with small fridge, ac, safe, towels, located in little garden with cozy swimming pool. Location itself is just perfect, directly in the AoNang center, but quiet enough. Breakfast is normal buffet but offers enough options to satisfy everyone (yoghurt, granola, croissants, pad thai, fried rice, pancakes, different kinds of eggs (freshly cooked), coffee, fruits, toasts…). Staff is super friendly and helpful with organizing trips and transfers. We have booked several services - pick up at the airport, tour to Phi Phi, taxi drive for a day and transfer to Koh Samui. Prices are rather same than in local stores or even lower. There is nothing to complain about! I would highly recommend and when I will definitely book again when I am back in Krabi.

1. Location!!!! Just 5 mins walk to the Ao Nang Beach. And from there you can take the long tail boat to the Railay beach/4 Islands!! Although someone thinks that staying in Ao Nang Beach is too touristic, it is really convenient considering you need to take shower immediately after visiting beaches/islands. And there are many shops and restaurants around too! 2. Budget Price with such location 3. Room is spacious !!! with a nice balcony. 4. Generally clean. 5. Consistent and strong supply of hot water. 6. Smart TV provided. 7. Some guests say that the hotel is noisy, but if you stay in the B session, it is extremely quiet at night.

1. The toilet design is quite outdated. Not many spaces/hooks to put your stuff in the toilet. 2. There are many insects and mosquitos. 3. Staff are not very attentive.

The reception staff here were very good and one lady in particular was excellent and booked our onward ferry journey and taxi. The accommodation was probably the most basic that we stopped in during our trip but it was comfortable and clean. The location was very good, just a few minutes walk from the beach front where there are lots of bars and restaurants. The swimming pool is small with a couple of beds. The room was a decent size and adequate for our one night stay.

The towels were washed but slightly stained and need replacing. On arrival our safe didn’t work but the receptionist changed the batteries immediately, resolving the problem.

The property is very pretty and very conveniently located, just off of the main street and just a 5min walk from Ao Nang beach so lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Pool is well maintained. Staff were lovely! And made us feel very welcoming.

Breakfast options were limited and was cold because we would also be the first ones to go as soon as it opened (since we had to leave shortly after due to pre-booked trips) but it did the job, given the price. Pool is well maintained. Rooms (especially bathrooms) could be a bit better and cleaned a bit better- they are old looking and have mould at places.

The bed was huge and comfy with fresh clean sheets. The room was bigger than expected with plenty of room to open our backpacks out. The shower worked well. Overall the room was very functional but also nicely presented and excellent for the price The little pool was a nice bonus. Breakfast was good. The staff were all super helpful, they booked us a reasonably priced taxi to the airport. The grounds are pretty and it feels like nice little oasis of calm amongst the busy streets. Convenient location to be able to walk to the beach, night markets, monkey trail and loads of food options. If you are arriving at Ao Nang pier expect to pay 150-200 thb for a pleasant 10 min tuk tuk ride to this part of town.

Nothing really, this place is great, especially for the price

i like the environment very cosy and it all landed. have very big tree and hear a lot of bird chipping in the morning. considering it is just 3 minutes walking to the busy town, and yet they can have very good landscape and big tree. because it is so near to the pub and club, they have good sound proof sliding door. so no issue of noisy. got few halal restaurant nearby, shops all just walking distance, beach only 10 minutes walking. so many public transport (tut tut)easy to go anywhere.

they did not serve halal breakfast. the toilet soap shall separate between shampoo and body soap. should have more wall hanging cloth, as they did not provide wadrobe. only and open rack.
