Firstly, this is not a place to go if you want bells and whistles. It is the place to go if you value peace and quiet and very friendly staff. The bungalows are great but watch out for the occasional nail. They have excellent beds complete with mosquito nets and have a wall fan. You can ask for an additional fan if you need it - I did - I find the heat a little too much. Each bungalow has a hammock and there are more in the communal area, which is a lovely space to chill. There are no fridges in the rooms but you can stash your food in drawers and exceptional small items if there is space, in the reception fridge. The staff are absolutely great here, Mili was attentive and knowledgeable and when my fan died, got it replaced. Mili also took the time to create a birthday message spelt out in flowers (lovely thanks). The showers are hot when you need it and have good water pressure. It is a 1 minute bimble to the beach!

As I mentioned, it is very low key and there is no aircon, no 24hr room service etc. This is not the place for you if you desire creature comforts. The ants will find you food, so anything needs to be sealed in those drawers. The electricity unfortunately went out for my bungalow and a few others so I spent the wee hours of a morning sweating but they fixed it as soon as they could. It has very basic functionality for stuff like coffee and breakfast but here are plenty of places nearby to grab coffee and food. Final note - mosquitoes - they burn coils but there are many, they love me, so if you are one of those souls whom mosquitoes deem snackworthy bring plenty of repellent or try somewhere on the beach.

I loved the stay here because it’s basic as I like. Koh Lipe is great and this place is the perfect compromise. If you are looking for luxury go somewhere else. For what we paid this was simply perfect. Two minute walk from the nicest beach, and few minutes away from the central area. Overall very nice and relaxing stay!

Just bit too noisy in the morning due to locals going with motorbikes and doing stuff early in the morning. Don’t get coffee from bar of the ladies of the resort because they get the free Nescafé in the common area and sell you for an insane price at the bar on the beach.

such a unique place and excellent area, 30 second walk to the beach and 5 minutes from the town. the communal area was lovely, with hammocks and plenty of different chairs, nice to have a space from the room. the staff were so friendly and always happy to help, the bathroom was a great size.

the room was very warm and the mosquito net blocked the fan at night. because the hut is made of bamboo bugs can get in easy, something to be aware of, but wasn’t a bit deal for us. the bed was quite firm and there was no sound protection from bugs at night (not the accommodation fault)

The place is very clean (please understand we are talking about bamboo bangalows and a wooden structure common area it's like a camp basically), the towels and linen smell amazing, there are incredibly cute and playful cats, the staff are lovely, there's a big selection of books to borrow or exchange, it's like 50 meters from the best beach on the island and there's a water bottle refill station with both hot and cold water. Also I expected more mosquitoes and other bugs in the room but even though we kept all the windows and the outdoor bathroom door open all the time we got none. The bed net and a little device they have plugged do their jobs brilliantly.

I would have nothing to complain about if the price per night was around 30 euros + breakfast (even the typical southeast Asian one of banana pancake coffee and a few slices of fruit). But we paid around 55-57 euros per night no breakfast included and I think that's grossly overpriced. HOWEVER the whole island is ridiculously expensive so if you take that under consideration maybe it's ok-ish...I guess.

The bungalows are simple but functional, nice to have a big bathroom, the common area is cosy. Great position, next to sunrise beach but also only 10 mins walk from walking street. If you are a diver or want to start diving, forra is particularly recommended, they are a great diving team with good equipment and 20+ years on the island. It was great to have the dive shop and the beach bar just 100m away, from where they pick you up in the morning to take you to the boat. If you have the chance, I recommend the Liveaboard with them too.

Great place to enjoy the island/beach life. Full bamboo bungalows have lot's of space and are in general quite comfortable. Cleanliness was great, the staff even cleaned in between our 5 night stay. Nice common area with small kitchen area (we especially appreciated the toaster). Less then 5 min to the beach and 10 to the main street with restaurants. All in all very recommendable.

There is quite some noise from animals in the night and the fans provide somewhat inadequate cooling. Also don't forget to bring insect repellent, the mosquitos are numerous and always hungry.

It's a nice little bungalow resort very close to a nice beach. The restaurant of the resort was very good and makes great curries etc!

You can stay with your family in a family bungalow. Is it convenient? No! Would I do it again? No! The bungalows were literally full of mosquitoes. Leave your kids in there for 2min and they are full of bites. Staff members don't seem to be experienced with kids. Our dive was cancelled last minute because a big Chinese group was better business for them. Do I understand this from a business perspective? Yes! Do I like it and would do the same to my customers? No! In general I would not recommend to go to Koh Lipe as a family looking for a quiet and peaceful island. This island is overly crowded and not enjoyable anymore for this purpose.

At first we were a bit shocked that the bungalow was really open from everywhere,but when we were about to leave we could only think that we will miss this place a lot! It was my highlight of my trip staying in this bungalow as it was a different experience from what i used to have. It was 2 minutes to the beach,and you could walk barefoot everywhere. Also the owner (that also has the best diving school in the island) is very kind and always happy to chat and help. The only thing is that you MUST follow the rule of no food (even if its closed and packed in a plastic bag) in the bungalow and then you won't have unexpected 'guests'.

Interesting stay in a bamboo bungalow with an outdoor shower. The resort offers scuba diving options even for beginners - it was a fun and enjoyable experience to see the beautiful underwater life. Resort is close to a nice beach, quieter than the arrival beach.

The resort is next to a school so you can hear the morning activities during the week - but you should be out diving by that time, so this shouldn't bother you.

Spacious basic bamboo bungalows . Large outside toilet area . Good comfortable communal area. Short walk to the end of the beach to watch the sunset

Would be nice if maybe a communal fridge or someone around a little more often during the day. Overpriced for what it is but it is probably comparable to other places here as everything is more expensive on this island
