I recently spent 3 nights at Baan Wang Lang Riverside Hotel and had an amazing experience from start to finish. I stayed in the Panoramic Suite, and the view from my room was absolutely breathtaking—waking up to the peaceful river and cityscape was a highlight of my trip. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. A special shoutout to Taew and Onn—thank you both for your exceptional service and kindness! The hotel’s restaurant and café offer not only delicious food but also fantastic views, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. Located right in the heart of Wang Lang Market, the hotel gives you easy access to local street food, shopping, and an authentic Bangkok atmosphere. It's also close to the ferry port, which made getting around the city super convenient. As a great bonus, the hotel provides a 24-hour free tuk-tuk service to nearby attractions and transit points. This hotel truly blends comfort, convenience, and charm. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Bangkok!

The hotel is excellent, spacious and clean room, right on the river within a 2minute walk to the ferry and river boats at pier 10. Directly opposite the grand palace, with Wat Pho and Wat Arun within easy walking distance too. The attached restaurant, coffee shop and two bars were great, riverside with plenty of seating for those relaxing river views. The staff were very helpful and eager to help with any enquiries. There is a complimentary tuk tuk service to the main road, because taxis can’t really get to the door, but the easiest way is to get the taxi to pier 10 and walk down the alleyway through that end of the Wang Lang market, which is right on the doorstep.

I cannot think of anything that could have been improved.

Beautiful location! Right on the river where you can watch life go by at any time of the day (night time is gorgeous!) IMO, the Panoramic Room (#501) is the best! It offers the best view even from the bathroom. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Many thanks to all of them, but especially to Nanny, Oom, and Bim who made my stay at Baan Wanglang so pleasant!

There’s nothing not to like! But some may find it inconvenient having to reach the hotel entrance by Tuk Tuk (a 5 minute ride from the main street, compliments of the hotel). I personally like it!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely outstanding—right next to the river and just steps from the river taxi pier, which made getting around Bangkok incredibly easy. I used the river taxi to reach IconSiam and Chinatown. Behind the hotel, there’s a large local market with plenty of authentic street food—great variety at decent prices. The real highlight was the reception staff. They were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to assist with directions, transport tips, and local recommendations. Highly recommended for anyone looking to visit Bangkok.lI’d definitely stay here again.

Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and polite. Oum, Taew, and the other woman who works at the front desk and whose name I fail to remember were the best! So was the person who received me when I arrived at 2 AM after 25 hours of flight - I don't remember his name either. I really enjoyed that this hotel was in the midst of a busy street food market and loved walking through the market's alleys. Also really enjoyed how easy it was to get to the east side of the river via boat - those boat rides were a wonderful experience.

Some kids got noisy in the hallways at around 10pm - not too late, but had to go to bed early that night.

This is our 3rd time staying at Baan Wanglang Riverside and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The staff are amazing. Always there to greet you with a smile and ask how your day was. The room is the big draw for us. Always immaculately cleaned, very comfortable bed and the best view in the hotel. If you love waterways the busy Chao Phraya River and the Riverview Room is the place you want to be. The balcony feels like it is hanging over the river and there is nothing else between you and it. The room has a panaramic view stretching from the Rama VI Bridge past Chinatown and Wat Arun. The view at night is unbelieveable. On top of the view the location for us is unbeatable. If you want to be part of old Bangkok this is where it's at. The hotel is part of Wanglang Market. A non-touristy market on the other side of the river. Fabulous food and other goods at great prices. The hotel is easy to get to. #10 Pannulok Pier watertaxi stop or cross the river on a little "ferry" for pennies to land at the Wanglang Pier and you're there. When we leave the Baan Wanglang it always feels like we are leaving "home". Thank you to Nan, Thip & Channy for making us feel so welcome once again. We will see you someday again.

The bathroom is a little underwhelming compared to the room but serves the purpose.

I loved this hotel, stayed for a week. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms, quality bedding. I had an issue with one room and they immediately gave me a new one. Rooftop and ground floor restaurant have an amazing view of the river, temples and palace. The Wanglang market right outside makes the location picturesque, it was fun going out in the morning and trying different things for breakfast. It’s just a 2min walk to the Prannok pier, boat orange line takes you to main attractions like watpo etc, traffic free! Favorite hotel in Bangkok out of 3 I tried. They were also very nice and kept my big bag for a few days as I traveled around. Would 100% come back!

It wasn’t an issue for me but be aware that the Wanglang market opens very early and closes at around 5-7pm. Cars can’t reach the front door in this period. Hotel offers a 24h tuktuk shuttle to the main street, so no big deal. And it is also possible to walk, it’s only 2min. When I needed a grab I would usually walk towards the pier and get a grab there. Easy peasy.

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. Everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful, from the desk clerks to the restaurant staff to housekeeping. The room was clean and everything was provided, including restocking water every day. The AC worked well (very important in the heat!) and the bed, although a little firm, provided a great night's sleep. The hotel was right in the Wang Lang market, so getting a quick bite to eat was easy. It was also very close to the ferry dock, so going across to the Grand Palace was easy to do. Breakfast at the restaurant was a real value with good choices and very very flavorful. The restaurant staff were also a joy to see. I also had one dinner there and it was very good and reasonably priced.

Car services and taxi's had a bit of a problem getting to the hotel because of the very narrow street, but some made it and some just dropped me off down the street. It wasn't really a big deal.

This riverside hotel in Bangkok was an excellent base for my 5 day stay in Bangkok. Stepping out of the hotel you are straight into Wanglang market during the day and the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. In the evening and night though it's very quiet and relaxing. You only have to walk about 100m to get to the piers where you can either get a ferry to the opposite pier for 4.5 Bhat each way or you can get one of the boats to take you further along the river (fares range from 16-30 Bhat approx). I found using the 4.5 Bhat ferry and walking perfect as once across the river you are close to many of Bangkoks attractions. The hotel itself was excellent and the staff so attentive and helpful, there are 2 good bars and a good restaurant on site and though expensive by Thai standards still very reasonable when compared to Western prices. I would not hesitate to stay here again if passing through Bangkok.

It’s a beautiful property. Very easy to get to the grand palace (turn right out of the hotel, 2nd alley on the right and it’s the ferry right in front of you. Just get on it, as all it does is go back and forth over the river. You pay cash on the other side, 4.5 baht per person). The rooftop bar is fab, as is the ground floor one, if a bit pricey.

There is no car access. You have to walk. Once you’re at the hotel, they have a tuk tuk that can take you to the main road to get a taxi, but when you’re trying to arrive there’s no way to let the hotel know to come and pick you up so you have to walk through the very bustling market (which I loved) with your suitcases. Also, if you book through booking.com and put children in the room on the system, it does not mean that you have booked a bed for the child. I suggest emailing them to request a bed. We had 2 rooms, each with a child and oddly one room had a child’s bed and one didn’t. Unfortunately they’d then run out of child beds. Also you need to pay an extra 800 baht per child per night in cash when you check out, which can add quite a bit to your trip.
