For the price range this hotel ticks the boxes. Some people have left negative comments... maybe they were expecting 5-star?? Put your expectations in the right place for this budget, and its great. Pool is not small, but a decent size for central city location. Its very clean, has jets even to give your back a massage, and a poolside bar. Breakfast is decent if you don't wait until the last minute - eggs two ways, other hot items, asia style options too, breads, cerials, fresh fruit. It does run low after awhile. Staff are super friendly and helpful! Location is fantastic!

Only complain is that the room was quite dark as the window is not huge.

Great hotel and awesome value for money. Kids absolutely loved the pool which was a perfect temperature and super clean. Location was great and it was very quiet. Breakfast buffet was pretty good. Would definitely recommend

Room was quite small but it reflects the price

All the issues we encountered on our last stay seem to have been resolved, the pool area has been cleaned up and was a lot more enjoyable, and the breakfast was back to its previous standard. As always the staff were great, everything runs well, and smiles all round. Nice clean room no odours, quiet efficient Aircon. Good sleep every night with no noise. The rooms here are just perfect really, for a basic room everything is there, kettle, fridge, safe. Just big enough for two. The price here does fluctuate, but at the lower range its one of the best value stays in Bangkok for a pool and included breakfast buffet. We keep returning for a reason, its hard to beat, and its great to have the option of the pool when you need it.

There were a lot of heavy smokers around the pool while we were there, and there really was no escape. I like the fact the hotel is fairly relaxed and guests are left to police themselves pretty much, but the smokers maybe could be given a specific area.

It is a clean and tidy small older style hotel. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. Pretty quiet location and in walking distance to Khaosan road but far enough so the noise doesn't affect you. Walking distance to Grand Palace. Good places to eat lunch and dinner close by.

The shower head has to be held to wash yourself if you don't want to flood the bathroom. Lift occasionally not working. Have to use stairs. Pool sunbeds difficult to lay on. Not much space around pool so if a lot of people at hotel, minimal seating.

Room is good for relaxing though close to the road and city but not noisy. There is not a lot of parking space but you can inform staff during the booking. Open air swimming pool and breakfast make comfortable for visiting old town.

More signage on the floor as well as the safety items, eg. fire extinguish , exit sign in the room and walkway. Lighting for stair can be adapted to meet the standard then upgrading the hotel for more star will be not hard to do.

The location was great, very close to a market street, and the room was tucked in a quiet area, the lady at reception was kind enough to change my initial room as it was facing the building next door which was under refurbishment. Also the free cold water bottles are a nice touch and the comfortable beds and linen. Overall a good option if you're on a budget.

The hotel is a bit outdated. It would've look great in its prime, but for now, it needs a refurbishment ASAP. Towels are old, and the hotel has a policy of 1 key only per room even if there's 3 people in the room, bear in mind that the only key available needs to be used for the AC.

The location was great, super close to Khaosan Road, there is a "short cut" to Khaosan Road, which was a bit weird and in a very small alley, during the day its ok, but at night I would say to just go around the street. Hotel is in walkable distance to Grand Palace, though I would not recommend due to the extreme heat. We used the pool everyday, and it was really good due to the heat. We asked also for late checkout and we paid 650 TBH to stay until 6pm and it was the best thing we could have done. There were things to sell in the hotel lobby, suck as water, soft drinks and beer, price was reasonable if you really need it and does not want to go out to buy. Though there was a 7eleven 5 min walking. Overall great hotel and great location, for sure I recommend.

We arrived for check in at the hotel around 5pm, and when I asked about the pool, they said that it was closed but the next day it would open from 9am to 9pm. After we got to the room we saw that the pool was clearly not closed, some people were using. Which sounded weird, I could not use it on my first day? Doesn't seem right, as after I check in I should be able to use all facilities of the hotel. Luckily we didn't want to use the pool right away, but it was a very hot day, and not giving the possibility for the guest to use the pool on the day of arrival does not seem nice.

A practical and reliable go-to which ticks all the boxes for a budget conscious traveller. If your looking for luxury look elsewhere, but if its value for money then its very hard to beat. The staff are super helpful and friendly although they are happy just to let you get on with it if preferred. Can more or less drop in on the doorstep using airport or local bus, as there's a stop a very short walk away. Very quiet side street but right in the heart of the backpacker kao San area. Pool and Breakfast welcome bonus. Its a big hotel with lots of guests who are free to do what they want pretty much, so the atmosphere in pool area will really vary depending on who's staying.

Some rooms in need of renovation, can be a bit of a damp smell.

New Siam Palace Ville is one of the best value hotels around the Khao San Road area. Nice clean comfortable rooms well maintained with small balconies. The staff are wonderful, helpful friendly and enthusiastic. The breakfast seems to have improved from our last stay, which was really our only complaint at the time, more variety now it seems, and improved quality with some items. The pool area is well looked after and thankfully not to busy on our last visit it could be too busy with large groups. Well run hotel to relax and enjoy Bangkok. Its also worth noting that we have never had issues with noise here at night which can be an issue in this area
