August 2024

We booked this hotel because it was one of the only ones we could find to accommodate a party of 11 (3 families in 3 rooms). The pool was a big bonus as it was so hot! Location is excellent, 10 min walk from khao san road but the road it is on is plentiful with street food, bars and stalls. About 15/20 min walk to lying Buddha temple/river cruise/royal palace. The beds were comfy enough, we had a quadruple which was 2 double beds which was great for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 boys age 9 and 5). Air con was good, hairdryer and fridge in room, water was provided, nice fluffy towels. Nice bar with good cold beer, the guy running the bar went above and beyond to order and deliver a cake to the restaurant we were in for a family birthday (thank you!). There is no parking (for my dads car-he lives in Thailand) but there was cheap parking 200 metres from the hotel. It’s obvious that most of the people staying in the hotel are backpackers rather than families but the atmosphere was great and laid back. Overall an excellent stay for our party of 11!

I’d describe the hotel as rustic, but it’s not about the mod cons in this area of Bangkok, it’s more about somewhere to lay your head. So the rooms are dated, the bathroom is basically a wet room and no temperature control on the shower. It was a bit noisy at bed time with the stalls being noisily dismantled over the road, a cockerel singing from about 4am and party girls knocking on the wrong door (our door) in the middle of the night. None of which are the fault of the hotel!

Location was a good balance between quiet and lively. Close enough- 10 min walk to buzzing Khao San area but far enough to be able to sleep. The road the hotel is on is fairly quiet in the day but stalls set up in the evening adding to the vibe. Restaurants and massage places all around the hotel open most of the day. We enjoyed the pool to cool off after a long day. Just enough sunloungers that no one missed out. Attractive property and helpful, friendly staff. Good espresso coffee served in the restaurant dowstairs

Inconsiderate other guests leaving their children unsupervised in the pool and ignoring the signs requesting removal of footwear...but obviously that's not the hotel's fault.

Location was amazing! Ram Buttri Village is an enchanting enclave that feels like going back in time, but it is close to so many attractions and a ferry dock. The pool was such a welcome treat at the end of a day of touring. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast buffet tasty and convenient. Also coin laundry at the guest house next door was useful.

Minor things! The rooms are basic (but clean!) and the shower is just part of the bathroom, so it’s a bit of an inconvenience. The lounge chairs by the pool are so large that there is hardly any room to walk around them.

Great location right by Khaosan Road, 5 minute walk, quiet and peaceful enough to actually sleep because you won't get any sleep if you book a place on Khaosan Road where the music blares non-stop every night. Great food options in abundance, massage salons, money exchange is right around the corner, quick 7 minute walk to the ferry which is very convenient since the ferry is much cheaper then a taxi. Good fridge and AC in the room.

Interior of room is outdated but was still clean. Worth it for the location.

I especially asked for the room with internet connection, and I got it. Internet was stable and fast, I really appreciate that the Hotel granted my special request. The room was clean. No insects. The bed was comfortable. The window view was to private property and garden - very quiet and peaceful, even during Songran festival. The location of the hotel is the best place in Bangkok - Ram Buttri alley - tourist street with restaurants and bars, massage and souvenirs. But very quiet, in comparison with Khao San (which is in 2 minutes walk from the location of the hotel). Don't know anything about the breakfast and pool - didn't use. But the pool looks beautiful with all this plants and flowers on the banks.

The pool is the biggest seller here, clean and refreshing. Location is great if this is the area you want to stay in. Easy to get around by grab, tuk tuk, ferry. No mrt or bts near by though. comfy bed and sheets. We visited here last year and booked again as it’s a great no frills accommodation for the kids.

The rooms are very dated, well overdue for a makeover. Wish there was somewhere to hang a bath towel. The lack of toilet paper available was annoying. Had to ask for more or just buy our own from 7/11.

The Mango Lagoon Place lies in a sweetspot where you get to the busy Khao San Rod in about 5 minutes and far enough to be not too noizy. The room had very comfortable beds and everything one needs. The personel was very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. You have a good view of downtown Bangkok from the highest floor. We would definetly stay here the next time in Bangkok!

The location was absolutely the best, close to restaurants and the Phra Arthit Pier to get easily for sightseeing or MRT. Felt like extended Khaosan Road area, very close by but super quiet and nice area. The pool was very nice! Also the room spacious and clean with white sheets and towels.

Bathroom had some ants but otherwise great. If you want a balcony there really isnt any (super small). The restaurant food wasnt very tasty. I would go somewhere else for breakfast and dinner.

Lovely clean pool. Perfect location for what we wanted quite close to palace. Excellent buffet style breakfast at reasonable cost. Had a triple room that was good & comfortable bed with clean, white linen. Bathroom ok although shower wet room style so you had to be careful. Staff attentive and helpful. An excellent budget style hotel.

Advertised as having hairdryer but couldn't find one. Cockerel crowing from morning to night was tedious.
