Wonderful place to stay and excellent if you're a digital nomad like me and you need strong wifi, very strong and I was able to even do heavy downloads on it no problem. Staff are lovely and very welcoming, location is fantastic and the room is amazing. I did have a fan room before but upgraded to the AC twin room and it made all of the difference, guys just get the AC room if you can or if you're staying for a longer period it's wonderful! Brilliant location close to Khaosan etc but extremely quiet at night and surrounded in a little oasis of trees, can't go wrong.

There was only one thing and this wasn't entirely the staff's fault, a young lad came in late at night whilst I was still working near the front desk and he brought a very drunk and vulnerable looking local Thai girl to check in with him in the room. I was really upset to see that the staff actually allowed this as she was clearly vulnerable and I desperately wanted to intervene but I didn't want to make a scene. Please, take extra care next time and do no allow this, my apologies and many thanks.

The location is great considering it's on Khao San. Quiet & calm. Easily accessible, the stuff is amazing & helpful & efficient (Hi Su!). They've a set breakfast menu ( not so bad) but there's other food places right outside a cheap price. The coffee is great. The kitchen closes late. They've a storage area for luggage( which is safe btw) incase you've to go other provinces like we did 😉. Gentlemen, ladies please book this place. Please note there's no TV/fridge in the room( but you're on Khao san). The bathroom is big & clean . You must ask for room cleaning at reception if you need it done. Imagine walking off a busy street & into a quiet place with trees & bird sounds.. on Khao San.. 👌. The bed will not give you a backache. The beddings & towels are clean. We got a room with a balcony & we liked how respectful everyone is. Thank you for a good experience despite not being a 5 * . I highly recommend. I'd like to try the one in Chiang Mai

Nothing. Please don't expect a lot as it is not a 5 * hotel. But it is a great place. PS ; the entrance is rather weird but no worries when you get in, it's relaxing.

We stayed at Lamphu House for 3 nights, and honestly, we just loved it. The location is perfect—tucked away just enough to be quiet, but still only a short walk to all the energy of Khao San Road. It felt like we got the best of both worlds. The room was simple, clean, and comfortable, which was exactly what we needed. The little pool and garden area were such a nice surprise—it gave us a calm space to relax after a busy day out in Bangkok. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful. They made everything feel easy, from check-in to answering questions about where to go. As a couple, we appreciated how laid-back the atmosphere was—it never felt overcrowded or chaotic. If you’re looking for a place that’s affordable, peaceful, and still close to all the action, Lamphu House is a great choice. We’d happily stay again.

Excellent location for main attractions which you can easily walk to (crossing the road is fun though), the metro is a little way away but walk able. The room was comfortable with a good bed, good air conditioning (although a little noisy) and a 'open-plan' shower (so be careful of a potential very slippery floor). Everything was very clean and the room was cleaned on request. Bottles of water were supplied everyday. Breakfast was superb with variety and choice and all very good quality. The hotel served drinks and food throughout the day and was all very good value for money.

Some noise at night (nearby bars music and singing but compared to other places this did stop relatively early). Escape in the event of a fire may be a little tricky - only one clear path from the room to ground and that has an awkward corner to negotiate,

The hotel is very quietly located in a courtyard, and the restaurant closes in the evening, so it's also quiet in the evenings. The shared bathrooms are extremely clean, as they are cleaned several times a day. Rooms are cleaned daily upon request. Competent, friendly staff take care of all our needs promptly and easily. We traveled by bike – it was safely parked here, and the reception helped us organize a reasonably priced taxi to the airport for two bike boxes (the taxi could have been a bit bigger, but it worked out in the end). Very good value for money for Bangkok.

Location is great, clean, attentive staff, shower and toilet was great. It was nice that you got two free bottles of water every day. I liked the fact that if you wanted your room cleaned you ask and otherwise they don’t ask. Very efficient and extremely great value for money. It was worth the money we paid for sure.

Could have benefitted with having a fridge and a kettle in the room. There is a fridge downstairs to use for sharing, but it’s a bit annoying as you can’t stop others from using your stuff.

Only 2 outlets, side by side, in the room. The room and hallways were clean but the lobby and property were messy and not well kept. The outside places looked like they were nice at some time but not been kept up. Great location. Not sure when the bar was open

I've slept at the Lampuhouse many times once in the past years. Even in the cheap rooms there is a nice comfortable accommodation.

An the disadvantage is that the window and ventilation of some of nicely cheep rooms is into the corridor and so some noisy guests can disturb your sleep. But what surprised me was that the staff is very noisy from early morning. Loud radios-hotel communication can wake you up very early. It is arrogant and ignorant. A paying guest should have the right to sleep at any time.

Very good location, but tucked away so did not hear the noise of the city. The other tenants were also quiet and courteous (not really a hostel type of vibe). Convenient restaurant downstairs. Staff were able to print visa photos and hold luggage until end of day after we had already checked out for free. 1 free bottle of water per person per day. The wifi was great! We were on the third floor and it was consistently working.

Large security deposit (500 bhat) compared to other places. Some ants in the bathroom but not terrible.

We had the most fabulous time at Lamphuhouse! The staff were fantastic, helpful with anything we needed. Very comfortable room, good beds, quiet and we loved the balcony to sit with coffee in the morning or a drink at night. The breakfast was fantastic, so peaceful sitting in the shade of the trees before exploring Bangkok. Lamphuhouse is situated perfectly at the heart of beautiful soi Rambuttri, so very easy to travel around, but without the noise. We loved our stay here, and will be back next year. Thank you Lamphuhouse and all staff, you looked after us so well.
