The property is close to Khao San Road without having to deal with the noise that comes with actually staying on that road! The staff are great, they provide social events which are great for socialising and meeting the people in your hostel. One of the events was a clean up at the temple Wat Arun - the sense of community… never experienced anything like that before. The facilities itself are great, a/c is awesome, rooms are clean and not super cramped (I stayed in a 4-bed), breakfast is good and contains a variety of fruits, cakes, toast, cereal, tea/coffee etc. And if you don’t like any of those, you can simply go and get your toastie from 7/11 which is across the road. I would definitely consider staying here again when in Bangkok!

The only thing (which is no fault of the hostel) is that there is no direct train nearby to go to the airport. It’s bus+train or taxi/grab - a small inconvenience but no matter.

This hostel is amazing. I cannot fault it in any way. 30 year old male solo traveller that just arrived in Bangkok and I cannot recommend Jam Hostel enough! The staff are so attentive and make you feel at home. Although the hostel is near the Khaosan Road it is exceptionally chilled out. It is a brilliant place to meet new people. I would thoroughly recommend this hostel to anyone starting their backpacking journey or for any traveller passing through that enjoys chill vibes and is looking to meet nice people! The breakfast is simple but delicious, there's an excellent balcony and the rooms are clean and quiet. The activities were amazing and give you a more authentic experience of Bangkok. We went to the local floating market, the night market and a beautiful local restaurant with a fantastic view of the river. If you're overwhelmed by the amount of hostel options in Bangkok, do yourself a favour and just book Jam Hostel!

Everything about this hostel is genius, and it works. It's not a party hostel, but a hostel with a good vibe. Perfect for solo travelers, easy to meet cool people. The events are all fun and unique. The Friday fight nights are insane. The Night market and river market are both very cool experiences. The employees are all super cool and understand tourists' culture, including western culture. The breakfast is great. The lockers are nice and large, the bathrooms are clean. Second time I've been, and by far the best hostel I've visited both times.

The dryer doesn't dry well, but doesn't matter since there's a laundry mat nearby, and I can always hang my stuff to dry.

One of the best hostel I can say. I enjoyed Bangkok more because of the hostel mates I got here they were the most genuine people I have met . The facilities were damn good the grass area was kept clean. Always cleaning the washroom and finally my fav part the common room. I spent most of the time there only the couch the air con everything is super. The bed was comfortable and I being 6’3 I could fit easily. Also the activities they have planned for every day was really good and also the songkran preparation was done at the best. Only Con they switch of the air con at night at the common area though I adjusted got hold of a fan and put it right towards me. Finally thanks to the owener and their family for creating such a great hostel with great environment. I miss the cats 🥲

We stayed in the private room and it was perfect for our needs. Loved the view of the canal from the balcony. Super easy to walk to the ferry pier for river transport, to the main tourist streets and our bus pick up for onward travels. We were able to store our bigger bags for the day after we checked out and there is a shower to use after check out. We went to the Muay Thai organised by the hostel on Friday night which was really well organised and an unforgettable experience! I think there were more solo travellers and groups of friends staying however it suited us well as a travelling couple. Not noisy at night at all as the hostel itself is more chill.

Jam is an awesome hostel! The perfect mix of social and relaxed. It was so easy to meet people here in the common area over the free breakfasts (which are great) and all the activities they organise everyday. It’s worthwhile staying on the Friday night where you get taken to a Muay Thai fight for free. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the location is perfect, away from the craziness of Khao San Road but close to all the main tourist spots. I highly recommend Jam to any travellers, especially those wanting to meet fellow adventurers.

The rooms are a little cramped, but the beds are comfortable and clean.

The vibe of this hostel is really what makes it! Super chilled social vibes, with decent optional activities such as markets, meditation etc. Location is perfect and is really quiet. Breakfast although basic is good, lots of fresh fruit. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

For the price, the rooms are really very small and basic. The hostel has 2 cats which go everywhere inside and climb all over the furniture including dining tables - I’m really allergic to cats so it would be good if they mentioned this in the blurb

I found the hostel to be social with people being open to interact with each other and spontaneously make plans together. At the same time respectful and quiet over the night to be able to sleep. The small breakfast was a great start for the day and the daily activities really tried to offer something different and outside of the most popular spots. I could also reach it easily with a direct bus from the airport which drops you 10 min away from it.

I was very happy with the hostel. A small detail would be about maybe providing some nice coffee or turning down a bit lower the AC in the social room but these are definitely small details.

Such an amazing stay at Jam. The staff were so kind and lovely and offered so much assistance. I also loved all the activities they offered and we got a much better price and experience since a staff member came with us so we got local prices for the floating market boat tour. This was the start of my trip and the first hostel I have ever been and I was so lucky it was so great. Since then I have been to dozens more and Jam doesn’t compare. I was a bit unlucky with who was in my room and didn’t sleep too well. But there are curtains and a light so a lot of privacy. Thank you so much ❤️ I hope to come back at the end of my trip

First of all, it’s a super cozy hostel. The common areas feels like a living room and the home-y vibes definitely attract a certain demographic. I overheard one guy say he didn’t like the hostel because it wasn’t social enough (lol) but I feel like if you want somewhere to party and go hard, mad monkey is right next door. If you want to meet chill and more relaxed people (but still social) then Jam is great. I met some really amazing people over the 2 weeks I stayed! I noticed that the demographic is mainly mid to late twenties, less young teens which I preferred. The events they host are sooo cool (check out the free Muay Thai!!! I went twice because it was super nice) and Xi was energetic, fun, and really brought the vibes. I extended my stay twice because I liked the overall energy of this hostel so much. It’s also right across the street from a 7-11 and other great attractions just around the corner. In terms of the room, I liked the beds since they had a firmer mattress and it had everything you needed (little shelf for your things, curtain, locker, etc). I was in the mixed dorm and everyone was super respectful and quiet which was lovely. Plus the cats are adorable 😍😍

The rooms are pretty small and can get cramped especially if multiple people are trying to get ready in the mornings. There was also a bit of a weird drain smell from the en-suite bathrooms during my stay but I found that if I closed the door it made it better - not a fan of en-suite bathrooms generally for this reason. Also, it’s a bit on the pricier end considering the amenities they offer but I guess it’s Bangkok and a social hostel.
