I think I hit the jackpot with this hotel in Bangkok. Firstly the price is very good for Bangkok. Secondly it is located close to a number of museums and thirdly the facilities are very good for the price. The room was clean and simply appointed. I booked a single room And as the notes explain these rooms are upstairs and there is no lift. There are other rooms in Tower A which has a lift the pool is at the top of tower.A. The pool has plenty of seating and change rooms. The breakfast and the restaurant downstairs is very pleasant with indoor and outdoor seating. The range of food is excellent. It is a busy Hotel but the staff are very friendly. In terms of the location I’ve mentioned the museums but the reason that I chose it was that it is close to the River. You can walk to the river and take the hop on hop off boat all the way to the Asiatic shopping mall. But you can also stop and see other attractions along the way if you go in the morning and get the full day ticket it is very good value. The IconSian is an amazing spectacle with all the really high end brands. If you are looking for a high-end hotel, you will be staying at the other end of the river at the four seasons or Peninsula Hotel, which is closer to the shopping malls and have their own River transport. But for my money this was a great choice I think for most budget tourists this is also a good location because what I didn’t realise is that the small alley that runs in front of the hotel is part of Khaosan Road, an awesome tourist spot at night with lots of restaurants and bars, souvenir shops, tailors and some street food it’s a really nice atmosphere. The staff can organise trips and a taxi to the airport although you can also use Booking.com to easily book your day tours. If you are travelling to the airport, there is a public bus that leaves from the Main Street each hour and costs 60 Baht. It takes longer than a taxi but is very direct.

There was really nothing that I didn’t like about this Hotel but if I had to say something it was that I had to walk down two flights of stairs and through the Hotel to get to the lift to go up to the rooftop pool.

Location

Having stayed here for many years at the same time i was disappointed with the sudden price increase in the cost of a large beer chang in the restaurant at 160THB we decided to spend our money at the bar next door but one, where the price was 90THB for the same drink this is the same price i was paying at the hotel last year. Given the price difference we only used the hotel bar once during our three stays this year.

The hotel is located in a very good area because it is near Kao San but far enough to be in a quiet street where there is no noise at night but still plenty of nice restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean, with good size and comfortable beds. The swimming pool at the top floor is an extra that is very well appreciated after a vey hot day in Bangkok. And the people in reception are so nice and always facilitating your stay, you can leave your laggage with them until your flight time and they even let us using the swimming pool and provided towels after we checked out, so definitely a 10 for them!!

Room is a decent size, had airconditioning and a safe. Although dated it is basic but clean. You do get harassed by hawkers as soon as you step out the doors. In fairness this was my experience no matter where I went. There is also a pool. Good food and market stalls mere steps from the entrance. Temples and Grand palace very close. Bus stop to both airports only two minute walk from plaza.

Could hear everything in the hall so if you're a light sleeper beware to bring earplugs. No mini fridge and it would've been nice to have cold drinks to have on hand because it was scorching hot. Drainage in the shower is poor. This is an older place too so it means no lift and you have to climb stairs if you're on an upper level. In saying this I would definitely come back to stay.

Great surrounding neighborhood on a cozy walking street with loads of restaurants and food stands. Close to Khaosan Road (2 min walk), but yet far enough to not be disturbed by all the partying. Felt safe (like most of Thailand). Within walking distance of Great Palace (15-20 min) Close to pier where you can hop on the ferries. Breakfast buffe was fresh and good and had all you could ever wish for. You could eat both indoor and outdoor which was nice. Friendly staff. Massage in the building which was top notch. Room was alright. Felt clean. Bed was comfy, but a bit too hard for my personal pref. Decent pressure in the shower. Pool on top floor with great views.

Bed a bit hard for me (but wife loved it, so... ). Air con a bit noisy and lowest setting was a bit too strong. Not very close to any subway/metro. Nearest is almost 30 min walk away. There are local buses going to Siam (cheap, but not the easiest to understand for first timers) Obviously you can use taxi, grab, tuc tucs - but I kind of like taking local transports, especially coming from the airport, and then it was not so conveniant at first. When leaving to the airport we definately got a Grab (taxi).

No lift service for the tower we stayed in. We asked about another room serviced by a lift and were quoted a ridiculous price. The cab driver out the front named Som and his brother Siko are involved in a scam with the floating market, watch out for them.

The Bed was very comfortable and a double,I had a fridge and a decent sized safe. The shower was ok and pressure and temp was good. The Aircon was very good,as was the Pool on the top floor. There was a lift from the ground floor to floor 5 with a few steps to the pool on the rooftop. The Breakfast Buffet was fantastic with a great choice. Only negative was this wasn't my original room,I upgraded after the first night because facilities were poor and I ended up paying more for a Deluxe Single..

The standard single I checked into didn't have a fridge,the Aircon was also very poor,it was very warm and the Bed and room was a bit small. Also no lift in that building to the 4th floor I was on. Both the Standard Single and Deluxe Single did not have a kettle or tea + coffee which seems standard these days. The upgrade made my experience much better.

This places was perfect for a short visit to Bangkok. The location is in an side street 5 minutes away from Khao San road, 20 minute walk from the national museum, 25 from the golden temple and palace. The breakfast buffet was very good! They have 2 roof swimming pools so you can see a bit of the city and always have one that is not too busy. The room itself (single budget room) was great, had everything i needed, although the TV is from the last century (CRT) and you have to play a bit with the AC to get a good temperature (18C on maximum power = blizzard, 27 on automatic will give you a good cooldown from the heat). One of the coolest features that i've not yet seen anywhere else is that the place you put your keycard to turn on the power, also has a button that you can press to either let the cleaning staff know not to bother you, or to make up your room, makes it a bit easier to schedule when you want a fresh towel. You can also just ask for a towel for the pool at the reception and they'll give you one anyway.

I had no problem, but heard another person complain, so be warned. There are 4 wings, and the one that seems to have the budget singles rooms has no elevator, the other 3 do have one i believe. They only have 5 floors, but someone complained, so don't let that be you if you don't like walking haha.

This hotel was a little peace of tranquil garden that was located walking distance to many of the sites we wanted to see. Lovely garden street that is tucked away from the business of Bangkok, but close to it all. Yummy great buffet breakfast with lots of options next to koi pond and under pretty trees. Beds comfortable and bathroom great size. Rooftop pool was great to cool off in the afternoons.Helpful staff with getting anything we needed from water to tuk tuk or taxi. ATM right outside. Restaurants next door to choose from and tour options next door.

Only one night a couple of loud drunk people stumbling outside out room, but that could happen anywhere. Otherwise a great stay.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and a good location albeit a little far from the SkyTrain but close enough to the river. Very good breakfast. Excellent value for money but a few small tweaks would make this place even better - open the pool longer, make sure the fridge stays on when put of the room and softer pillows 👍

Pillows were a little too hard in honesty and the pool closes at 8PM instead of say 10. Also, fridge in the room seemed to be connected to the same circuit as everything else so didn't keep stuff cool if you were out of the room.
