although it is a simple hotel i highly recommend it because it is comfortable, the bed and pillows for a good night's sleep, clean and the room is cleaned every day, it is in an excellent location very close to the river and entertainment venues, it has an excellent dining room with a very good view on a main road with a lot of traffic, and best of all it has excellent staff ready to help you and respond to whatever you need. everything was great we had a great time and will definitely visit the city and the hotel again.

This is a charming hotel with loads of character, set back from the main round, an oasis of calm in the khao san area. A great little rooftop swimming pool to help you cool off. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect to experience the sights and sounds of khao san and is close to some major tourist attractions, walking or tuktuk. We felt it was safe for families despite all the hustle and bustle outside. Would definitely stay here again.

Reviewers do mention hearing the sound of nightlife from khao san road but honestly it really wasn't a problem for us in the rooms we stayed in. Yes its there, but aircon is much louder! The kids never mentioned it.

We had no expectations of this hotel as it is VERY central and close to Khaosan Road so we were expecting it to be noisy and perhaps a little run down. Hotel was lovely, room was large and clean and the staff on reception were fantastic. We loved our stay here and being able to have a dip in the roof top pool was a bonus as it was such a hot day when we arrived!

Breakfast service was a little 'relaxed' and slow, but I think that was mainly our anxiety for getting the taxi to the airport in plenty of time. Food was lovely though :) x

The staff were great. Especially those in the restaurant. They're super professional and helpful. Location was perfect. You are round the corner from Khaosan with a taxi rank on the doorstep. Restaurant food is excellent. It's clear the chef knows their stuff and has chosen dishes they like and are good at.

Small window with very little light made the room seem super dark, while at the same time letting in a ton of light from the corridor when you are trying to sleep. It needs curtains. The noise in the room can be a bit loud, especially from the hotel singers. It makes getting an early night impossible. Guests are encouraged to stand outside the rooms and smoke at the provided ashtrays, but these are just outside the room and the smoke smell then drifted into our room which wasn't pleasant.

The room is cleaned daily and well maintained. The position is close to Khao san road, lots of food to eat. At first, I was quite confuse if this play is noisy as reviewed, but in fact, I think they have made their effort to make this place more sound proof. I slept really well, sometimes just heard some light sound of 1,2 motobikes. The staff are really nice. This hotel also has the restaurant on the 1st floor, love the food they made. In case guests need laundry, there is a really good store near Khao San road named Teenoy or something, 130 baht for hafl of the basket (which is around 2-3 kg of clothes). Overall, I would refer this place to my friends if they visit Bangkok.

The shower is hot and cold suddenly, but in general, it doesnt affect the good feeling while staying here.

I really liked my stay at the Baan Chart Hotel. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the room was really pretty and super clean as was the rest of the hotel. Having the swimming pool available was definitely a plus, since it was 40 degrees while I was in Bangkok. The position of the hotel is also great to see the old town, cruise around and organise day trips out of Bangkok. Khao San road was just behind the corner but you could not here the music coming from there.Fully recommend to stay here.

Although you cannot hear the chaos of Khao San, the restaurant under the hotel would play music until around 1am in the morning on speaker every night during my stay. Since all the rooms face that side, it was clearly audible, at least from my room. I suggest bringing earplugs if you are not a sound sleeper ;)

I loved everything about this hotel! The location is a great plus, Khao San Road is basically just next door, which makes the stay even better. The “Spanish colonial architecture” vibes of the hotel are beautiful and make you feel transported to the other side of the tropics, almost like being in the Caribbean. The staff were kind and the rooms very comfortable.

I’ve stayed here so many times and I will always return. I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels but I always seem to come back here. It’s right in the hub of it. Obviously if you don’t want to be in the middle of Khaosan and its offerings you should stay elsewhere. It can be noisy but I’ve never heard anything from my room and I slept like a baby. The decor is really cool and it all works as it should. The aircon is cold, the shower is hot, the kettle boils, the safety box locks, the sheets are clean, what more could you ask for. AMAZING !!!!

Baan Chart is a great hotel to stay in when visiting Khao San Road in Bangkok. The room was of a good size if a little dark but very comfortable. The rooftop pool is a refreshing break and was generally quiet when we visited. Hotel is a great location for food markets, bars and cafes.

Shower was not very strong. The music from local bars was very loud at night - not unexpected in Khao San Road but if it bothers you, you will hear it until 2am. Breakfast is expensive but lovely room/ restaurant on site.

We have stayed here during Sogkran and it was a mistake. During 3 days every night you can’t go anywhere not getting wet and dirty, because all neighborhood is crowded and you physically can’t go through the crowd without being doused with water. Besides that, the hotel is good, great stuff. If you come here at different time (not on Sogkran), it will be great choice to stay while exploring Bangkok.
