This was my first time staying in Bangkok and I couldn’t have been happier with my accommodation choice: excellent location just off Khao San rd, 2 minutes from the main bus routes, and within walking distance of some of the major tourist destinations (eg. National Museum; Grand Palace; Wat Pho). I had a ‘deluxe king’ room - it was exceptionally clean, of ample size, with quiet air con and a nice bathroom / wet room with some toiletries included. Bed was very comfortable and there were tea and coffee facilities, a fridge and a safe in the room too, along with dressing gowns and slippers. Other reviews have commented on the room being small and/or too dark - I was a solo occupant and didn’t have an issue with the room size or the colour scheme. Breakfast was included and I was really impressed with the options! It’s worth drawing particular attention to the staff, who were all wonderfully helpful and offered amazing service. Really enhanced the experience.

Initially, I was on the 5th floor, directly beneath the rooftop balcony. From 5pm -11.30pm every day, there is very loud music blaring from the roof speakers and it’s very audible in the room. However, when I explained this, the staff kindly moved me to the 4th floor and there were no further issues. Echoing other reviews, the shower is eccentric - sometimes it randomly shuts off but then comes straight back on, and the temperature varies a little bit. But it was more of a quirk than an annoyance.

From the minute we arrived, the stay at this hotel was first class. A boutique hotel located in the heart of Khaosan Road. The roof top bar and restaurant offers exceptional food at affordable prices, set in a comfortable setting overlooking the skyline of Bangkok. Every member of staff go out of their way to make everyone welcome, special mention to Mi on the front desk. The breakfast is awesome, deciding what to choose from the menu was hard, but went for the smashed avocado on toast with scrambled egg, tomato and crispy bacon. Full English breakfast available along with many other choices. The hotel has been only opened about 6 months, if offers a contemporary concept, rooms are spacious and modern and complimentary snacks and drinks were a bonus. All in all, I would rate this hotel 10 out of 10 on every aspect, so good we have booked already for later in the year.

Location is great. Breakfast is great. Staff are friendly.

1 - The hallways smell terrible. Believe the comments about it. I can’t explain how it happens but it really smells like sewage drain. It’s hard to breathe. But it was only in the hallway. The room smelled ok. 2 - We could hear loud music from the rooftop at night. It wasn’t a big problem because we were too tired to care, but if you are sensitive to noise, it may disturb you. I believe it is a little bit expensive for the quality. I’m sorry to say, I would not stay there again. I felt like there were better options.

The hotel is amazing, room was great. Very clean and fancy decor. Felt like luxury for quite a good price. Security guard on the door made me feel safer. Very comfy bed.

I found most of the staff quite rude and unfriendly. They didn't make me feel welcome. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. When I checked in the woman at reception told me it was 400 THB for breakfast so I decided to plan to have breakfast at the hotel rather than out, which would've cost me about 300 THB. Then when I arrived for breakfast I was given a menu that said it was 590 THB if I want to have a hot dish and the buffet. I said fine as I was already there. Then when I was given the bill at the end, they added VAT and service charge which I hadn't been told about, and it ended up costing me 694 THB. Plus the food was pretty average, the buffet was nothing special. I could've had a much better breakfast for half the price elsewhere. Shame as everything else was great.

I had a 6am bus at a location near here so booked the Ember for a night. When I arrived I was amazed at how nice the place was and how comfortable! Very well appointed rooms, a free drink at the rooftop bar, and generally a great stay. There are a lot of places to eat and drink in the area and the only drawback for me was the lack of a metro station in the area.

beautiful room and very clean, only a couple hundred yards from khao san road so a perfect location and staff were fantastic! the restaurant in the hotel is also amazing, would 100% recommend!

Location is great, staffs are all friendly, super clean rooms and the hotel smells good. Loved our whole stay there, and will definitely rebook once we go back in BKK.
