The Hostel is located very comfortably close to Khao San / Ran Butri, but outside the area which makes it less noisy. It is usually very clean. Beds capsules offer privacy and force people to not intetact in the rooms. Same counts for lockers being outside of the dorms. THIS IS A BLESSING for being in a hostle! Neither will you get annoyed by endless zips and rustles from somone packing his bag at 6:00 in the morning nor by people comming in chatting after late nights. They have a nice roof terrance with a small bar and some cool social activities that help getting to know people. The vibe totally depends on who is there. Lately it was pretty full of younger travlers in their early 20s that I had seen. The staff is extremely nice and helpfull with everything, only positive to say.

I have seen comments that complained about noise from the restaurant below and claimed there was a club. I cannot share this experience that there would be too much noise, neither there is definitly not a club. Also that it would be a problem that the lockers are outside the doorms and that they had to sort their stuff in the common area. ... you are in a Hostel for very low prices, do you expect private pool amd breakfast service ? Then book yourself somethimg accordingly and let the roomservice wake you up at 8:00 am with a coffee and a happy massage, ffs.

The best thing at this place is the staff; Zoey, Win, Min.. They were all amazing! The warmth they make you feel from the moment you enter till you leave, 2nd to none. Besides this, the location is good in terms of local street food around. Walkable to some sightseeing places, not easily walkable though.

Do not get excited with the images. Trust me it is not bad, but it is not as 5* as it potrays. The other thing is, it is a little difficult to spot out when traveling for the first time. Maybe Air Con in the common areas would be a good touch.

- There are multiple activites every day from tours to social activities. Unfortunately I was sick during my stay so couldn’t join them but they seemed really nice. - A lot of space to sit and chill. - Beds are nice and overall the place feels clean. - Atmosphere is good, social but no pressure if you just want to chill. - Location is good if you want to be near Khao San Road. - Staff is nice and can give good recommendations.

- There will be noise and music during the night, but that’s fair staying at this location. - It’s a bit humid in the rooms and hallways which sometimes causes a nasty smell.

My stay at Khaosan Social Capsule was truly exceptional and incredibly comfortable. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Harry made the experience unforgettable with a sunset boat trip, his incredible magic tricks, acoustic performances, and spontaneous singing, all while maintaining a smooth professionnel approach. Gin and Sherly were amazing, ensuring everyone felt included and had a great time. Thank you girls for being super hospital and caring every time. Win’s always smily and cooperative his friendly readiness to assist with anything were so very much appreciated. A special thanks to everyone also thank you Marianne, Peduda, and Kevin at the bar, and the rest of the fantastic team. Khabkhun ka 😄 The hostel facilities respond well to travelers needs, and its strategic location made exploring easy. I also met some wonderful people during my stay and had heartfelt interactions. I loved the staff! Really felt welcome and at home right away. I arrived super early yet they were able to accommodate me in the common area where I could rest a bit and provided me with a towel, was nice to take a hot shower after a long journey! It’s quiet there at night especially if you consider the location. Which is super central and is right by the Khao San night market. You won’t be disappointed! This place has a rooftop, free yoga classes, I met lovely people there. If you want to enjoy your stay in Bangkok look no further!

I stayed at Khaosan Social Hostel for 4 days and 3 nights, and it truly lives up to its name! This hostel is perfect for travelers who want to meet new people, as they offer various social activities like yoga, group dinners, and bar hopping. If you’re traveling alone and looking to make friends while exploring Thailand, this is a great place to stay. That said, if you prefer a more relaxed experience, you’re not pressured to join the activities. I personally had a comfortable stay—slept like a baby every night, and the noise levels were just right.

However, I did notice a couple of times that the room smelled like smoke. I’m not sure if someone was smoking inside, but it was noticeable. Overall, it’s a great hostel with a good balance between social and chill vibes. Just something to keep in mind!

I recently had an amazing stay at this hostel-again! I can just say ghat the crew is incredibly friendly and accommodating; they handle every request with a smile, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Every day at 5 PM, there's a fun and engaging program that brings guests together, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. They keep everything constantly clean! I was also impressed by the manager's dedication; he even sleeps in the beds himself to see firsthand what improvements can be made. Plus, each capsule provides complete privacy-there's not a single peep-hole where anyone can look inside. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Thanks again for storing my parcels!!

The beds were clean and comfortable, you had charging points by your bed and a light. The bed had good curtains for privacy. In your dorm there were hooks to hang your towels or clothing which was useful. The room was quite cool through out the day even when the AC was turned off. In the night the AC is nice, not too cold. The bathrooms were large and always cleaned. They also had soap and shampoo and you were given a towel in check in. Also no shoes were allowed in the bedrooms and bathrooms which was nice and hygienic ! There were lots of common areas which allowed you to be able to have social interactions, hang out with people/meet people or even just to chill alone. The lockers were large so it fit my big backpackers bag inside, along with other things and it was secure and safe. You didn’t need a padlock for the lockers which was a bonus. The hostel is in a great location, close to street food, markets, Khao san road (party area), public transport and other landmarks. It was also not too noisy. The hostel staff hold events like pub crawls, Sunday dinner, yoga classes, social hour, open mic night, tours and lots of other stuff which is really useful for when wanting to meet people or if you’re a solo traveller wanting to explore.This is the reason I was able to make lots of friends ! ALL the staff were so kind, helpful, fun, chatty and informative. They gave a great vibe to the hostel especially Harry, Jin, Kevin and a young girl from China (I don’t remember her name). And not to forget all the amazing cleaning staff and maintenance staff doing a super job with keeping the place clean and looking good. Also it’s cool how they allow you to hang around and use the facilities before check in/after check out. I loved the hostel so much that I’ve booked it for another 3 nights at the end of my trip. for being just a bit behind khao san road, this place was actually amazing. at night, the noise was totally drowned out somehow. both people i spoke to at reception were absolute angels, one of the girls even gave me a recommendation for nails in the area :) very friendly. good socialisation without being crazy party vibes. bed in capsule was surprisingly comfy and towel is provided for showers, which were super clean. air conditioning is also separate to each capsule, which is really nice as sometimes it’s too cold or too warm depending on what others want :) really recommend, wish i’d stayed longer.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice it is for a hostel in the middle of the main tourist and party drag. Only stayed one night before an early morning journey as hostel was around d the corner from the pick-up point. So can’t really comment on how social it is but it seemed like a nice atmosphere with lots of activities planned. The dorm rooms are spacious and the beds are nice and with lots of privacy. Bathrooms were also really nice and clean and functional. At first seemed a bit weird that backpacks are not allowed in room ( might get a bit annoying if you stay longer) but makes sense that people aren’t packing and unpacking in the middle of the night in the rooms. And it keeps everything tidy.
