1st time back at this great hotel in Chinatown in 8 years. I used to stay here every 2 years on my way to and from Europe when I would visit a sponsor child in Krabi province. But then Covid hit and the world shut down. Am so pleased that some of the longer serving staff remembered me - I talk too much. Rooms have been renovated. Comfy bed.

Time has moved on and I guess things do change. Breakfast etc used to be on the 10th floor but now down just around from reception out in the open. Wish it would go back to being on the 10th floor as the breakfast time finishes as 10am as then the eating area is set up and open to the public. If you need a sleep in and just make it to breakfast it is all a bit rushed

The location of this site was so good that I booked it again for my trip home in a few weeks time. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. We all loved the variety the breakfast offered. The beds were lovely with lovely clean and fresh bedding so we had slept well

My room was for three people and I had asked for three single beds so we could all have our own beds but when we arrived we had only two beds even though they were big king size beds I would have preferred three singles. My granddaughters decided they would just share a bed in the end

During our visit to Bangkok, we stayed in Grand China for nearly a week. Overall, I'd say it was a decent experience. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the balcony view was a nice sight to see, especially towards the evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful and probably were one of the best aspects of this hotel. The location is great as a 5 minute walk takes you straight to the heart of the night market of Bangkok from the hotel and the food variety in the hotel is large, with several restaurants to choose from. Not a bad experience in conclusion, and I wouldn't mind staying there again.

Sadly, the rooms and bathrooms felt quite old - fashioned, and we had a mosquito infestation in our room.

Location:- The location is perfect definitely and thats the reason I chose the hotel. Room:- We booked the family room, it was spacious, they gave welcoming snacks. There was a changing/luggage room for you to place your things and mirror for you. Should have taken a 2-toilets room as there were 4 of us and its quite troublesome when it comes to a schedule which we need to rush. Breakfast:- I remembered when I was young, I came here with my parents and breakfast was really the only thing that will want to keep making me to come back to the hotel. So after 10 years, I came back to the same hotel again, but the breakfast is abit disappointing. The coffee machine wasnt working well for first 2 days, there wasn't proper hot water dispenser, the coffee/ tea cups were not the same size, (maybe just me). Umm, the breads have very limited choices, there were alot of porridges and soups options.

We were placed at 17th floor which is next to the Bar. It was abit noisy to be frank. I can see them trying to make upgrade on their rooms, but the toilet's light can go brighter, so do the entire room, as there were all small dimmed lights and total of 5 lights. I have a balcony included, but there wasnt a light outside when it comes to night, the light was broken and need to be fixed. The gardener always water plants at 9-10am and I always get "showered", maybe the gardener can water the plants gently instead of impressing the plants with "water-show." (if you get what i mean). I thought it was raining for a moment.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The hotel itself was very clean, and its location near Chinatown made it super convenient for exploring the area. The only downside was the AC, which was a bit tricky to manage. It seemed to have only one setting—very cold—so finding a comfortable temperature was a challenge. Overall, though, I had a great experience and would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, location, and fantastic staff!

The hotel is like a pearl thrown in the middle of Chinatown. Inside, the staff is ultra friendly and helpful. The room we had had a beautiful view of Bangkok, which was stunning. The room itself is a bit tired and its glory days are a bit behind it. The air conditioning is noisy - you need earplugs to get a good night's sleep. Or turn it off at night, which is not always possible due to temperatures. Good breakfasts - everyone will find something for themselves. From the hotel you go straight to the largest market and the cradle of street food - Chinatown. This is a very characteristic place and it is better to be aware that it is not very hygienic here and sometimes the smell of durians mixed with sewage fumes can make you feel sick. But the experience is one of a kind. Being in Bangkok and not being here is like not being in Bangkok.

Noisy air conditioning

Perfectly located just steps from the yaowarat night market. Great views from our room balcony and the rooftop bar. Great value for the money. The staff were so kind, we actually stayed there again at the end of our trip and booked directly for a better rate. It’s not the trendiest Bangkok hotel but it had everything we needed also the gym was insane! It was huge and had so much equipment and no one in it. That was a pleasant surprise.

The hotel was beyond the my expectations. The check in was traditional. The concierge took our luggage to our room. The hotel room was very clean. We had a fantastic view from our windows. It was New Year’s Eve. There were special events for count down in the hotel that night. We chose to see the fireworks from our room. The hotel was in the premium location in China Town. My daughter has left her Apple Watch in the room after check out. The house keeper has found it for us for collection.

It was wonderful. We celebrated our daughter's birthday and everyone was super nice. I aked their help to mark the day and in the morning some of the staff came with cake, flowers, a card and a small present and sang happy birthday to her. And at dinner, the singer also sang to her. Se was super excited. So 10+ for the staff The room was big, very clean and the hotel is quite interesting. The view from the room was spectacular. We stayed at the 15 floor.
