This week I had the pleasure of spending a week at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel in Bangkok, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the rest of my stay. The hotel's location is unbeatable, especially for avid shoppers like myself. Situated in the vibrant Pathum Wan district, it's just steps away from some of Bangkok's most renowned shopping destinations, including MBK Center (lobby joins into mall) and Siam Paragon. Whether I was hunting for designer goods or browsing local crafts, everything was conveniently within reach. Pathumwan Princess Hotel convenient proximity to the Skytrain and MRT makes it incredibly easy to explore the city's many attractions if you want to avoid taxis and traffic jams. Within minutes, I could hop on the train and visit iconic landmarks like the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and the bustling markets of Chatuchak Weekend Market. After a day of sightseeing or shopping, returning to the hotel felt like coming home to luxury. The spacious and elegantly appointed rooms provided the perfect sanctuary to unwind and recharge. From the plush bedding to the stunning city views, every detail was meticulously designed to ensure maximum comfort and relaxation. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's Olympic size swimming pool and 2x spas. Whether you're a serious swimmer looking to do laps or just want to relax poolside, this expansive pool caters to all. The crystal-clear water and surrounding loungers create a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city and the spas were an absolute treat. For fitness enthusiast there is the state-of-the-art gym, equipped with top-of-the-line equipment and expert trainers. Plus, the variety of classes offered, from yoga to spinning, ensured there was something for everyone.

Booked a Grand Deluxe King Room for 4 nights. Very spacious room with a large shower stall and separate bathtub. Bed is very comfortable, and the air con kept the room nice and cool. A small desk is perfect place to tap out a few emails. One very good feature, the room has a water filter tap, though you can still request a complimentary bottle of water. The cafe in the ground floor entrance is a great place for a meeting over coffee and snacks.

Not really a complaint but the hotel is currently doing renovations, which is causing some noise during the day. Shouldn't be a problem as you will most likely be out during the day and into the evening.

Perfect location as hotel linked to MBK shopping plaza making it a great experience for shopping/eating/relaxing. The room (Corner location) was perfect however aircon always shuts down if you left the room meaning a hot & sticky room on return until aircon kicked back in. Breakfast was a daily feature - could not be faulted except the coffee machine which was calibrated tooooo cold. Hard to enjoy a luke warm coffee. Leisure facilities - great gym, very professionally set up and run with latest equipment for cardio and strength building. Great pool as well but needs to be heated. Guests lay around the pool & crowded into the 2 spars but no one was swimming in the main pool as it was too cold. Poor outcome for families with children who were looking for a resort style outdoor swimming area to relax. Certainly not a child friendly area.

Fantastic location with direct access to MBK - our room was a newer done up one and was lovely - it was a club room which had access to the club lounge - the staff and the food and beverages here were outstanding - our stay here exceeded our expectations - pool area was large with all day sun with comfortable chairs

When we first arrived we were a little concerned as the reception/entrance area hasn't been done up and is very dated - but the rest of the hotel is great - our new room had a night light that could not be turned off which is very annoying but we built a tent around it with cushions to block the light so we could sleep - another strange thing is the power in the room is on a sensor so it turns off when there is no movement in the room - which is a problem when you are on the toilet and all the power goes off and you end up in the dark haha - but none of these things would stop us returning!

Fantastic location—right next to a massive shopping mall, which made access to shops and restaurants incredibly convenient. The room was spotless, well-appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were excellent—friendly, professional, and always happy to help. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

Plumbing issues every day: sink leaking, toilet clogged, bathtub splashing on floor. Toilet has sign to not flush paper in toilet- this doesn’t give a comfort feeling for a tourist from USA after a long trip needing a toilet

Location was great. Within walking distance of all the Siam malls. Staff were very friendly. Rooms are well laid out and clean.

Breakfast was 7/10. Elevators don't all operate at the same time so expect a long wait whether you're going up or down.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was very good with a nice selection of options.

However, we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. Upon arrival, we noticed that the floors had not been properly cleaned — there was visible dirt and long black hairs throughout the room, especially in the bathroom, which felt quite unpleasant. The towels also had a very bad smell, which made them feel unhygienic to use. We reported the issue to the reception and specifically asked for a proper cleaning of the room. Unfortunately, nothing was done despite our request. The cleanliness remained poor throughout our stay. This lack of attention to basic hygiene standards really affected our overall experience. With better housekeeping, the stay could have been much more enjoyable.

Location is excellent ,Staff were tremendously .We had to buy our breakfast everyday we paid $2.247 for 5 nights 3 people & spent money on room service & restaurant they would not include a breakfast for 3 people.

Manager on Duty AM. last day he had NO compassion for my son in-law as he has Dementia/alzimaz prostate cancer,uses toilet lots,his memory not good.He also gets adjitated & very restless waiting around, Thus Manager on duty,said we must leave our rooms as hotel fully booked.He would have had a nine hour wait & i’m 82 years & he said we must leave the room 1.pm.that meant 11 hrs wait for me. He told me he had no vacant room for me to buy - then when my daughter said she would pay $265 he had a room vacant. Did not care about people suffering with health problems or the elderly, it was all about greed for more money. When i arrived i did not check in until 11.30 pm where i was entitled 3.pm. Was not nice at all. I have stayed in your hotel many times & since 1998.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. Everything was perfect, from the welcoming staff to the comfortable, well-maintained rooms. One of the best parts was the hotel’s convenient location — it’s close to major shopping malls like Siam Paragon and Central World, making it ideal for those looking to shop and explore. The amenities and dining options were also excellent, adding to an overall fantastic stay. Highly recommended, and I look forward to returning!

I appreciated their efficient service and willingness to make things right. Overall, their problem-solving and customer care left a positive impression.”
