Really lovely staff and super clean everywhere, including communal bathrooms. Great traditional vibe throughout the property and really good A/C everywhere. The owners are so attentive, when sat around they would come and turn a fan on just for us.

The bedroom had nowhere to store anything - a few pegs on the wall but not one drawer in the whole room and no wardrobe. For a primarily backpacker seeming destination this was challenging. The showers were very cold (only 1/6 could be described as warm) which is fine in the hot weather but if you do fancy hot it isn’t available.

very beautiful garden areas, we didn’t even realise until our last day that there was a back garden which is lovely for chilling out so make sure you check that out if you stay, it’s just past the storage room, staff were so lovely, and very friendly, giving us water and greeting us every morning. felt very clean as well. Storage room came in handy, the staff let us use it for our bags after we’d checked out so that we didn’t have to wear them in the heat

The fans didn’t help very much with the heat, had to keep all the windows closed all day so that our room didn’t get too hot so it ended up being quite dark in there. Walls were also very thin and I would say we were lucky we were on the top floor, as the hallway to the second floor rooms was right above the bottom floor rooms

I felt like I had stepped back in time and entered an authentic Thai guest house.. it was such a refreshing change from the cookie cutter generic places where I had been staying, and I thoroughly enjoyed the off- the-beaten-path location as it allowed me to explore parts of Bangkok that I hadn't seen before. It may appear isolated at first, but it is serviced by a convenient bus line, and an interesting water taxi route that links up to the Metro if you want to get creative. The staff was very congenial and seem to genuinely care about your well-being, as I was greeted every evening with two water bottles by the staff after a long day out and about. The decor is low-key, but authentic and genuine. I felt as though I was stepping back into Old Bangkok as there were a few other guest houses within the block, and a large market a block away.

The stairs leading to the second floor were pitched fairly steep, and the only toilet facilities are on the ground floor, so if you're prone to getting up in the middle of the night I would definitely recommend getting a room on the ground floor.

Tavee Guesthouse is a small but exceptionally beautiful place. My room was perfect, featuring a large, incredibly comfortable bed that made for restful nights. The staff is absolutely fantastic – unbelievably friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. I truly felt at home and very well taken care of. The location is perfect: everything is within walking distance, allowing you to explore Bangkok at a relaxed pace. An ideal base to experience the city!

The only downside is the noise level – like everywhere in Bangkok, it can be a bit lively at times. But that’s just part of the experience and unavoidable.

Tavee Guesthouse is located in a quiet spot, yet very close to a local food court, wet market and river jetty. It's very easily accessible and within 15 minutes ride to major attractions. Early morning breakfast with the orchids was exceptional. Tavee is very clean, all guests have to remove shoes before entering the premises, the rooms are adequate for a quick stop for rest. Wooden floors and walls give an exotic touch to the guesthouse. The shower and washroom facilities are downstairs and clean, with hot water. Laundry and storage facilities are available. The guesthouse has a closed gate policy to ensure safety of residents. I used to return late and there was always a gentleman to verify that I am a resident and opened the doors for me. Recommended for solo traveller's and couples. The staff were very helpful, respectful and decent. Enjoyed my stay there.

The stairs to go up are steep and if you have suitcases, it might be an issue to take it up if it's heavy. However there are rooms downstairs as well if you plan to be having heavy stuff to carry.

We did have breakfast on one of the days and it definitely reached our expectation. My partner had a breakfast which was cooked exactly how she liked it and I had a fruit and yogurt bowl where the fruit was delicious. The staff there were also very welcoming and lovely to be around, always trying their best to make your stay better.

This was our first place to stay at the beginning of our travels and I would say that I have no complaints. I would say that it was quite far from the central part of Bangkok but I would say that’s down to me not doing my own research beforehand.

We really loved our stay here. The place is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and has a calm, cozy vibe. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. We also appreciated the cold water they gave us every night – a really thoughtful detail.

If I had to mention something less ideal, the rooms aren’t completely private since there’s an open window to the hallway near the ceiling. But honestly, it didn’t bother us at all.

I really liked that the guest house is tucked away from the main road. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were impeccably clean. During my stay, I used two different rooms. I particularly loved the larger room as it provided enough space for me to do some Yoga stretching in the morning and evening. However, it took me a little while to get used to the surrounding A/C noises (a very common issue anywhere in Thailand), but earplugs helped with that. The smaller room was quieter, albeit a bit tight with the bed taking up about 85% of the space. I made use of the outdoor spaces to sit, work, eat dinner and relax, and the staff were very attentive, turning on fans and lights as needed. Overall, I absolutely loved it, would highly recommend it, and would definitely stay there again.

The guesthouse was great! I really enjoyed my stay. However, a lot of road construction in the town starts a block away from the guesthouse. It's far enough that you can't hear the noise, but it makes exploring the area on foot a bit difficult. Hopefully, that will be all done very soon, which would increase the value and charm of staying in this quaint, friendly Tavee Guesthouse.

Super clean and comfortable stay! Shared showers and toilets was cleaner than home of many people, staff was friendly, providing bottle of water every day, location is quiet, but close to river public transportation so easily accessible from/ to main tourists sites. Would come back again!

We were able to order a nice continental breakfast before leaving early morning. We were very happy with our room which was spacious and nice and quiet at the back of the property the first time we stayed at the hostel. We enjoyed staying at this hostel so much that after we returned from travelling to the ilands we choose to book our final night in Bangkok here. Staff were very polite and friendly. I loved the tranquil garden and location that the hostel was set in. From here we were able to walk to a golden buddha temple nearby the hostel which was lovely. This area is not touristy like in the centre of Bangkok, but nice and chilled out location which has a different vibe to the centre.

There is nothing that I can think of that I did not like. Just be aware to find the hostel you need to go down a quite side street which we could not identify easily with our taxi driver. Look for a lovely old tree next to another hostel and then you need to walk a short distance to the hostel. This in inself was a pretty street to walk along and get an idea of how Thai houses were in the past :)
