It was probably one of the nicest social hostels I’ve stayed at in Southeast Asia! It didn’t have a crazy party vibe but still had lots of fun activities and opportunities to party/meet people. The pool was great and the beach was so close for sunsets! There was also a super lovely chill hangout zone and the dorms were really cute. 6 beds in a little cabin with 2 toilets. Such a good set up! They also have motorbikes for hire, which is great because you need them to get around Koh Lanta.

You can only pay in cash, which sucks with Thailand’s expensive ATM fees but also quite standard for accomodation on the Thai islands.

Absolutely loved our stay at Blanco!! Our favourite hostel in Thailand so far. Our room of 8 was always cleaned daily and super comfortable, had 2 bathrooms to share also. The staff were really great, super helpful and friendly, heaps of different common areas (chill and social areas), access to different games and pool table. Events every night so it was super easy to meet people. Location was right next to the beach but I would recommend hire a bike for Koh lanta otherwise hard to get around. We hired bikes from the hostel and had no issues, they also give free lessons if you don’t know how to ride. Also had our laundry done through the hostel as well as booked transport and no issues. The tattoo guy at the shop was super friendly also and did great work. Throughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone.

Nothing, loved everything!!!

I really enjoyed my stay here! Large outdoor area, where you can easily socialize with others or be by yourself if you need that. Daily events in the evening which is super. They also arrange 4 island trips, which I really recommend. I booked van + ferry to my next destination which was so easy. I did not rent a motorbike, which I thought was totally fine. You can walk to the beach, restaurants and 7/11. I also really liked that they had 2 toilets and 2 showers in the 8-dorm bedroom. It is very clean.

Bad smell in the bathroom.

I absolutely loved my stay at Blancos, so much that I ended up extending twice! The location is amazing, just a 2 minute walk from the beach, and pretty much everything you could ask from a hostel. A nice pool, so many hammocks all over the place and a really nice social area with games. The food is also very nice and at a very good price. The staff are all awesome, making such an effort to make everyone feel welcome. Met so many amazing people through the daily evening activities organised through the hostel.

The only thing that would make the hostel even better, is curtains on the beds.

Amazing hostel if you want to chill out, meet people and/or party! It's got loads of stuff to do, cheap scooter rental and is only a two minute walk from the beach. Both the local staff and reps are friendly and helpful, and they organise great social events. The dorms are also very clean, comfortable and secure. The shared toilets outside the 6-bed dorms smelt a little bit at points but this was likely just due to the heat and high use during peak season. They were otherwise very clean.

Perfect location right next to the beach, with bike rental as well so super easy to get around the island - don’t worry if you’ve never ridden a bike before, the lovely staff teach you! The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable with plenty of space, hot & cold shower options, large lockers and AC. The bar serves great food and there are events every night! All the staff are so incredibly friendly and make Blanco a special place to stay! Can’t recommend this hostel enough, I stayed here several times and would go back in a heartbeat!

Loved Koh Lanta and this hostel made it much better. The vibes were impeccable and I definitely feel like I underpaid for this place. It’s a perfect oasis only a 2 minute walk to the best sunset spot on the beach. They offer bike rentals, day trips or you could just chill by the pool with a good book. I never found it too loud and the beds were very comfortable.

If you don’t drive a bike then this might be a difficult stay. The bathrooms were nearly infested with flies so showering didn’t feel so clean. No curtains on the bed was a bit tough for privacy. You also have to pay to refill your water bottle which is a first for me to see.

Amazing hostel, probably our favourite we’ve stayed in so far on our travels. Staff incredibly friendly, rooms clean, and 2 bathrooms to 8 people is great. The hostel was really nice and chill in the day but also had nightly activities and events. The hostel staff weren’t pushy with signing up to go out after the hostel bar closed which is great as this can sometimes be quite common in Thailand. Lots of space to chill out and relax by yourself as well as socialise with other travellers. This is the hostel that has felt the least cliquey in Thailand and I think that’s also down to the staff as well as the people. The blanco boat trip is also great and 100% worth it!

Very close to the beach. A relaxed and more intimate party hostel. Can hire bikes and drive straight out to explore the island. Food is pretty good there as well if you didn’t want to leave the hostel

Things such as happy hour started was not announced, along with starting of the open bar. I think the reps need to be a little more active in terms of speaking with guests in the evenings and mingling to keep up the social vibes

Very social, always evening activities. Staff super friendly and helpful! Even though there was a party going on, you could sleep quietly in your dorm. Dorms got cleaned every day. Very cozy outdoor area with hammocks. Close to the beach. Big lockers below the beds.

I would have appreciated some curtains around the bed, also, as the curtains of the big windows weren’t always closed by everyone. The „hot“ shower was also cold. More hooks to hang things in bathroom + shower would be nice. Didn’t like that fresh drinking water wasn’t for free.
