Fabulous location, right on the beach. Perfect for sunsets. Really friendly and helpful staff - always smiling. Great service. Excellent and really tasty food. Great little bar. Quirky but charming little bungalows with large terrace set in a nice garden. A/C in room was appreciated. Helpful with trips and in/out transfers. Nice massage options on site. Loved the outdoor bathroom!

Nothing to complain about the hotel. We found swimming by the hotel difficult when not high tide due to the rocks but sandy parts only 5 mins walk along the beach.

Hello to the world! I did stay 12 days in "NAUTILUS - right on the beach", and on top of my 10/10 rating I just would like to express my happiness and satisfaction during my stay. Various facts do contribute to my feedback - starting with the very polite, respectful and super helpful staff (reception, beach bar, restaurant, house keeping etc..) - No wish or requests stayed unanswered (tour booking, laundry, scooter rental, another cold beer or cocktail, etc....). Thanks to Chaya and her crew (Khim, Nadia, Mr. One, Mabree?! :-) and all the others) The accomodation is very nice, a beach bungalow in sight distance to the beach. Each bungalow has enough space for 2 persons, an outdoor porch / terrace (sun bed or deck chair included)+ the individual bathroom. AC and fridge included. The site itself is in a very quiet neighbourhood - all the beach bars and clubs which host parties are definitly not in hearing distance and will not disturb your good night sleep. Nautilus incorporates a beach bar + sunbeds/sunchairs + sun umbrellas/trees to give shadow, a restaurant, breakfast/dining area (5 meters to the beach!), an outdoor shower and a massage site (prices are the same like in all the other places - so no need to stroll away and fight for 50 Baht :-)). Facilities are kept clean and well maintained. I did feel like staying with a family over being "just a guest / bungalow number" Some reviews here complain about "a rocky beach at the doorstep not suitable to take a swim" - Well, here is my point pov: 1) During high tide the water level absolutely is fine to take a swim 2) During low tide - just walk 50 meter to access the less rocky beach section of long beach. Definitely doable (if you can make it to 7/11 by foot, then these 50 meter are piece of cake) (Consider: No vessel can drop its anchor at "your" private beach :-) ) Restautants, Bars, 7/11 etc in walking distance.

We really liked that the resort was rather small which made it much more personal. All the staff was awesome: highly motivated, always in a good mood and always trying their best to make you happy. The cabins were also nice and clean and the restaurant and cocktails also very good.

We stayed for 7 nights and this place was the highlight of our trip! (we have been to Thailand 6 times before and Koh Lanta twice before). This place is great! We wanted the beach bungalow experience, but more on the luxury end. Bungalows: great - they are concrete with modern facilities, bathroom, bed is good, soap/lotions are good. Management: Maprang the manager is exceptional. She was always happy to greet us with good service and was quick to recommend various outings/activities and arranged a scooter. Also noted the owner was around most nights, which shows how well managed the place is. Breakfast: Very good and a la carte where you choose what you like. Bar/Restaurant: Great food - the bar manager is wonderful and even helped with cream/ice when I injured my foot from doing Muay Thai! Shuttle: Driver is great and the car is a Honda Accord, which is great vs. most people driving a truck or Corolla! Location at the south end of Long Beach is good for beach walks and swimming. I would highly recommend this place and we hope to go back next year and stay longer. The main thing is because it is a smaller resort, you really get exceptional service. The grounds are also well landscaped (we had a Banyan Tree right outside our bungalow) and the tree cover keeps the temperatures down.

Everything was perfect. I seriously can't think of anything we didn't like.

We were returning to Nautilus after 8 years and were pleased to find so many improvements. It is a small, friendly, well-kept resort right on the beach, with lovely gardens, a cocktail bar, restaurant with tables on the beach and all-day on-site massage, which we kept going back to as it was so good. The bungalows are spacious with large verandas with comfortable outdoor furniture. This is one of the few places we came across on the island with ample sun beds and parasols on the beach front. We spent a lot of time just lazing there. You have to wait for the tide to come in to swim in front of the resort, due to rocks and coral, but that was not a problem as you could swim for most of the afternoon. You can always walk further along the beach to have a morning swim. There are other good beach bars and restaurants within walking distance. We loved KINDEE just a short walk along the main road.

If we have to be picky, the coffee. At the price you pay here, they should have a decent coffee machine. Also, there are quite a lot of mozzis, so be prepared.

We have to say the staff are fabulous. Maprang is always happy and helpful arranging and recommending trips to Ko Rah and Lanta old town. Also in standing our transfer back to Krabi airport. Kim and Bung s thanks for looking after our drinks and food needs on the beach - because that is exactly where the bar is. The room was comfortable and clean and we always had bottle water too. Service with a smile, a filling breakfast and lovely setting with a pretty garden and lovely view Of long beach. I would love to come back.

- The hotel is right next to rented villas with a pool that had screaming children all day. - When we checked out it was not possible to pay with card and the atms nearby didn’t work, so we spend 1,5 hours getting enough cash on the last day. - No water pressure in the shower. - Only possible to swim in the ocean sometimes, depending on the tide.

We had a wonderful experience staying here. The location was perfect, making it easy to get around and explore. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ensuring a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the ambiance—a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. One of the standout features was the quietness of the place, allowing for a truly relaxing and restful stay.

There wasn’t much to improve, but if I had to mention something minor, it would be great to have an iron available for guests to use. Also, a better shower option for guests who have already checked out would be a nice addition.

I had a great time visiting Thailand and my stay at Nautilus in Koh Lanta was the highlight of the trip! After touring around the country I was looking for a serene, secluded place to unwind and Nautilus turned out to be perfect for that! Each “room” is a stand alone bungalow and as soon as you step out the door you feel like you’re in the jungle with the courtyard landscapes with tons of trees and plants that attract all sorts of birds! The athmosphere at the resort was extremely relaxing (adults only is really worth it :D ) and the island of Koh Lanta is so much fun to explore by scooter with many different beaches and streets lined with little bars and restaurants overlooking the sea. Lastly, the staff is like a little family, hanging out together and extremely kind and forthcoming! They made me feel so welcome :)

The only thing to be aware of is that the beach right in front of the property is difficult to swim in because of rocks but you can just walk 100m to the right and swim there and the island overall has so many beautiful beaches to explore!

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, lots of loungers by the beach for hotel guests only (and staff were good at enforcing this rule by asking visitors from the beach to sit elsewhere), good massage service, reasonable Happy Hour pricing, easy scooter rental. The beach access was fine - and you do need to walk a few hundred meters North past the special sticks to get to an excellent walking beach. Swimming is fine at high tide but watch out for rocks. The swimming is better just up the beach or beyond the rocks.

Breakfast options seemed limited (was easier to just get some fruit and yoghurt from the street) and no coffee in reception whereas other hotels often provide coffee for small charge or free during the day. I gave this feedback to the manager. There was a very annoying bird (the most annoying bird in Thailand called a Koel) who loved to make noise as early as 430am. It didn't bother me at all as I sleep through anything. I also wasn't bothered by the regular call to prayer that the local mosque was broadcasting on speakers. It was far away. Some guests really didn't like the bird. These birds are everywhere and even in Bangkok, but you'll start to think they are following you around the country. He wasn't there every morning so it's not really a big deal and it's nature so deal with it ;)
