Great staff, very sociable and welcoming bar & reception area and right by the beach. Obviously we're talking about a hostel here, so facilities are what you pay for. I think the private room (shared bathroom) was very much value for money with a good bed. My room was on the side of the building and could not hear the bar or the road at all. So if you value a quiet room, you can ask for the side room! Loved the place, super good vibes, had a great week making new friends as a solo traveler.

Nothing really, as long as you are aware you are staying at a social hostel, meaning that music will be on til midnight and that hostels do lack in certain luxuries hotels have, you'll have a blast.

This was def my favorite hostel in the whole Thailand, it felt like home which is mostly difficult to feel while doing hostels. Absolutely great vibes, nice DJs, nice activities, amaaaazing staff (saying hi to all!) and guests overall, delicious food and drinks - also recommended places around the hostel (Fisherman and Bubba’s), right next door is also pier with speedboat to Samui in 20 mins, nice and chill outside area right on the beach. Very good prices.

The facilities might use some renovations, the dorms are quite dark, did not like the toilets and showers right next to each other

Stayed at Echo Beach Hostel in Koh Phangan and had such a great experience! 🌴😊 Even before I arrived, they already impressed me – I couldn’t make it on my original booking date, and even though it was a non-refundable reservation, they were the only place that happily let me reschedule without any extra charge. That kind of kindness really sets them apart 💛🙌 The location is super convenient – just a few meters from the speedboat pier ⛴️ which made arrival really easy. My room had a peaceful jungle view, with chickens and other animals around adding to the laid-back, natural vibe 🐔🌿 I had a private room for an amazing price, and because I was so happy there, I extended my stay – and they handled it with a smile 😊 The hostel is right on the beach 🏖️ – I spent hours just relaxing on their big comfy bean bags, reading a book or playing on my phone, while enjoying the great music coming from the bar 🎶📖 It was exactly the kind of peace and reset I was hoping for in Thailand 🧘‍♂️ The food and drinks are delicious and fairly priced – way better than the restaurant next door, which charges more than double 💸 The green curry was perfect for just 100 baht 🍛 and the cappuccino was top-notch ☕ The team at the hostel are super friendly and helpful – they recommended awesome parties like Jungle and Eden, and there's a great vibe in the evenings when people gather at the bar before going out 🎉🍻 There’s even a volleyball court and a pool table, which is a fun bonus 🏐🎱

The only small downside: the shower water pressure could’ve been stronger 🚿

This is probably the best hostel on Koh Phangan if you're looking to meet young individuals and enjoy to party. There's a pretty chill area with couches and tables to eat at, as well as a restaurant/bar and a pool table. Hostel is located right at a private beach where you can hang out. AC in the rooms is always on, and it was pretty quiet at night. Staff is incredibly nice and you can get food pretty much all day long for reasonable prices and good quality (the Thai food is a lot better than the western foods though.). There is a 7/11 round the corner and places to rent a scooter. Overall I've been quite impressed with this hostel and would book again if I were to visit another time.

The bunk beds are a little tough to climb and there is only little space in the dorm for your personal stuff. You need to bring a lock if you want to shut your locker. The rooms arent well lit, which is good for sleeping in, but can get a little chaotic every once in a while..

The social area was great, the bathrooms were clean, the beds were super comfy

- liked the chill out area on the beach, beanbags to sit on and lots of them making it nice to sit there especially at night - hostel offers lots of activities like morning yoga every day for free which is great way to meet people - lots of showers and toilets unlike most hostels which will only have a few - shower cubicles are not tight and are a good size - staff are lovely and friendly - good food which is reasonably priced

- has ants in my room at one point, not hostels fault and cleaners were very accommodating to help me get rid of them - my room was next to pool table area and was very hard to get to sleep before 1am as could hear the music through earplugs, would be perfect if music could be turned down slightly perhaps after 12 - beach wasn’t that great, is very small and amongst lots of rubbish but this may be due to the excessive rain?

If you’re looking for a fun party atmosphere, this hostel is a great choice. One of the best things is how easy it is to access the beach just a few steps and you’re right by the sea, which makes the location really special. The staff is super friendly and helpful, always with a smile and good vibes. They really add to the positive energy of the place.

The only thing that could improve a bit is the cleanliness it’s not terrible, but a little more attention to detail would make the stay even better

We absolutely loved our stay at Echo Hostel, the main area was awesome with lots of seating options and a pool table, perfect for socializing, and the beach seating was lovely and relaxing, they had some activities like morning yoga, and drink specials on nights that there were parties going on around the island. The staff were lovely and truly cared about providing us with an excellent experience, any issues we had (which were hardly any) were addressed with kindness and care. The location is great for getting around, very close to the night market for some yummy late night eats, and many little shops nearby. The rooms were clean and we always saw people constantly cleaning the bathrooms and main areas.

Everything was great. There were some ants in the bedroom when we arrived but hey, it’s Thailand, it’s hard to get away from them. We just asked the cleaning staff for a morning sweep and the ants would stay away for most of the day!

Really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The location is perfect if you don’t want to be in the middle of the party scene. 10 minute scooter ride to the main spot! The communal areas are great & theres always a lot of people around. I absolutely love the bean bags on the beach, such a vibe

My room was over the road & it seemed pretty rundown. Tiles cracked, mould on the walls. It didn’t affect my sleep or my experience but if I were to stay again I’d ask to stay in the main hostel
