Good relaxing place.

Beach is nice but you cannot swim there. So the pool is great.

We had a fantastic stay at morning star, the owners went above and beyond to be helpful with whatever we needed. We got caught in a storm and slight flooding so they helped us with taxi and mopeds to be able to get around.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. Just be aware that as the location is on the beach with plenty of nature there is an abundance of wildlife and mosquitos especially if it rains!

I only regret not staying longer here. The bungalows are nice and cozy and right by the beach. The garden is beautiful and there's also a nice pool. The staff was very friendly and helped us with the scooter rental too. Oh, and they serve really good breakfast! I'd love to go back and stay longer!

We really enjoyed our one-week stay at Morning Star. It's a beautiful setting in a garden with a well-kept pool that looks out over the beach. Our superior bungalow also had a sea view and plenty of space. The bungalows could do with some repairs and renovations, but I think this is the case for most places on the island. The wi-fi was good enough for us to do some work. There are many decent restaurants, night market, and 7-11 within walking distance. We walked the length of the beach most days and have to say Morning Star seemed to be one of the nicer accommodations in the area and definitely provided the best value for money that we could see.

This isn't a fault of the resort at all, but there was a local festival at a nearby temple all week that played loud music till midnight or later most nights. Some neighbouring resorts also played electronic music. We were hoping to escape the "party" vibes of Phangan, so the noise in such a beautiful setting was quite disappointing. Maybe bring ear plugs? As other people have said, the beach here is not really "swimmable". The west coast of the island is very tidal. You'll need a scooter to access better swimming beaches. However, it is the best beach for long walks.

Incredible resort, great value for money and the pool and beach were amazing. Staff were also lovely and really made the stay. Rooms get cleaned and free water each day which was lovely, and facilities were great, good AC, lovely spacious well equipped rooms and good location, not too far from a good amount of food places and 7/11 and in the middle of the island so easy to reach other places on the island.

Superb 3 night stay. Lovely little hotel, staff were wonderful and so helpful. The gardens were beautiful and the food excellent. Little bit out the way but we had a nice stroll up the beach each night where you will find a 7 eleven and a night food market where there were various choices of food. Would deffo be back for another visit.

The garden villa could just do with a little TLC and a lick of paint. Still cleaned every day and was spotless. No TV, it didnot botherus as we were out every night but may bother others. Other than this the place was fab!!

Nice location, pool was mostly empty, nice beach property with everything you need, the hotel is basically on the beach so that was amazing. Beautiful location, greenery, nice bungalows - spacious and clean. We were really happy about this stay. The staff also helped us get taxi service which was very convenient.

The hotel is in a location a bit deeper into the village and further from the main street - like 10-15 mins walking to the main shops etc, that was a bit exhausting, but with scooter it would be perfect.

Nice location in a quiet and peaceful part of Koh Phangan, not too far from the pier (150 BAHT Lomprayah Transfer). The beachfront cabins are clean and spacious for our needs. The place is well maintained with a nice garden around it, we had a great time staying at this place

Absolutely lovely. Calming. Relaxing. Peaceful. Staff was fantastic. Food was great. Fast and fresh. Kept the grounds very well. Fresh water and TP every day. Was told it gets a bit busy on full moon parties 🥳. Keep that in mind. Highly recommend. I will be back. 🤩😎

We thought for the price we paid that we were in the deluxe lodges but instead we were in the basic lodge. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Bathroom was basic. All usable and functional however
