The staff are amazing. On Lamai Beach, it's the most beautiful and least crowded, cleanest section of the beach. It's a relaxed atmosphere, away from the slightly tacky and Benidorm style main strip, but thats only a short walk away, so you can dip in and out of that mess as much or as little as you choose. The pool is so nice and never crowded with a great bar next to the pool but also right on the beach. There's good food and drinks and nothing is too much trouble. It's not high end, but the aircon is great, beds are big and comfy, and everything is clean with attention to detail. It's a little gem and well worth the money.

A few more sockets in the room especially by the bed would of been nice👍👍

We stayed in a beach front villa and I would absolutely recommend booking one! Sitting out on the porch and listening to the waves was so relaxing, hours pass by without you even noticing. The pool, bar, loungers and all communal areas were always clean and tended to. The bar was always manned and easy to get served. The staff were super attentive and friendly, always willing and keen to help make our stay more enjoyable. The location was great, you can walk along the beach to fun beach bars and walk via the road to many restaurants and bars in Lamai. One of the nights, the hotel hosted a complimentary cocktail party, accompanied by a seafood bbq (the bbq was an additional charge). We sat right on the beach and enjoyed a delicious meal!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sand Sea, particularly in a beachfront bungalow. Lamai beach is beautiful, clean, and relaxed. The resort is walkable to many restaurants, massage places, shops, and more, but is set away from the main road allowing it to be peaceful and quiet. The resort restaurant was good and we enjoyed the daily breakfast and a couple other meals. On our last night they served dinner directly on the beach, concluded with a fire show. It was really well-done.

Only slight negative was that I didn't want to use the pool because there were many children diving into it and playing volleyball in the pool, but I'm glad they had fun! I was able to enjoy the gorgeous beach on resort-provided sun loungers and cool off in the ocean.

The attitude and behaviour of the staff was excellent. The swimming pool was lovely and clean and plenty of seating and beds et cetera around the pool. It was very accessible to the Lamai night market and local restaurants, massages etc. The location was away from the busiest and most commercial part of Lamai beach so nice and quiet.

Unfortunately, the beach right in front of the hotel is not the greatest because there is a channel of water coming off the land which when it’s rain brings a lot of rubbish down with it. We walked a little way along the beach and then had some lovely swims.

Very friendly staff, and even though there were a couple of errors, they were quick to apologise and rectify where they could. We had booked 5 nights but extended it further as upon our first day, we loved the location & room so much. We had a beach fronted bungalow, which was basic but spacious. The covered outside area was great overlooking the sea. If you are going to stay, we highly recommend the beachfront bungalow. The hotel is right on the edge of Lamai centre, so easy walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants. We had a lot of room service (stayed there during a long storm), and the food was good. Breakfast was adequate. The massage on site was good. The pool always looked clean.

During the storm, we realised all the rain water from the streets came down through two rivers/sewers on either side of the resort. This meant an extreme amount of rubbish washing up on the beach. (This isn't the hotels fault, but it's important that you know.) We do not recommend swimming in the sea due to all the pollution and rubbish that builds up coming out of the sewers. It would have been preferable if the washed up ribbish had been cleared away quicker, though, as we had to walk through it. Also, when you know a room has had room service, it would be better to go back a few hours later and collect the plates, as the dirty plates attract insects. I am not saying this to completely put you off staying, but it's important to know.

We had a wonderful time at this resort.. exceptional staff and service... We had originally booked 3 nights here then 14 nights on Koh phangan.. we loved it here so much that we came back early from KP and stayed another 5 nights here... We were welcomed back so warmly with leaves and flowers on the bed saying welcome back ... Touches like this are incredibly beautiful.... We had the deluxe villa next to the excellent swimming pool and absolutely loved it ... Perfect bed and a stroll out to the pool and bar ... To celebrate Pride month they had reduced all food and drinks by 30% ... 60 baht a beer at the bar was a bargain .. June is quiet on the islands so we had the chance to stay on the beach front for our last night, keeping the pool villa also with our bags etc staying in that room. ... The beach front villa was simply beautiful... Hanging out on the front deck staring at the water was lovely ... And with room service it meant having a wonderful meal on our deck ... The restaurant served up a great breakfast... Made to order omelette was a total winner... All our meals here were excellent... Well cooked and delicious... Situated on the north part of lamai which is chilled and very laid back ... A 2 minute walk south on the beach takes you to the public access to the beach ... Walk down that street and your in the action with the night market so close ... I really can't fault anything... Wonderful place with incredible communication We will certainly come back here without hesitation... Thank you to all the amazing staff for making it a memorable holiday... 10/10 Neil & Amelia

Literally nothing

The resort is right on the beach and very close to market area of Lamai. Rooms are clean ,staff is friendly, rooms are big and have a massage bed if you want to order massage service, there is a big motorbike selection provided by hotel motorbike rent partner. The beach is clean and well maintained . There is a jacuzzi bath that can fit 2 people inside the room. You can get to market area faster if you go right at the beach area. Definetly one of the better hotels we stayed at.

We had a pool room, great view and spacious room. We enjoyed a couple of dinners there with the fire show, and the breakfast was good. Everything was close by and within walking distance to the major street in Lamai.

We enjoyed our stay and really liked our time there. If anything, maybe more a selection at breakfast, but in saying that, I enjoyed it and usually had the same thing as I don't usually have breakfast.

Good location, quiet and peaceful. City (centre) is nearby, short walk away.

Our stay was above expectations from the minute we arrived. We received such a warm welcome and the staff gave us a tour of the facilities (which include the pool looking out to the sea!) Every staff member we encountered were so friendly and professional. The facilities and ‘rooms’ (individual villa) were kept exceptionally maintained and clean with the biggest shower I have ever seen. You can tell they take great care and everything looks so fresh! They really have thought of everything and provide a beach bag and towels for you which are refreshed when you leave outside. The breakfast was lovely looking out to the sea and such variety too. We wish we could have stayed longer!
