We liked how close the property was to Lamai beach and other attractions like the overlap stones. Pool is decently sized and neat. Rooms are cleaned every morning free of charge and the overall cleanliness of room was 10/10. Right on doorstep of main road with shops and 7/11 five mins walk away.

At the same time, the rooms on the ground floor right at the entrance we were put in are directly opposite a popular restaurant which has big flood lights on most of the night and also the road/ car park is situated right on the doorstep of the rooms (which of course we understand is unavoidable, but still not enjoyable when wanting to sleep) so all night and early morning you hear mopeds and people walking by very loudly. Also, hotel sheets were grey and very worn material didn’t feel overly hygienic for the price you pay- fresh, white linens would go miles! Keep in mind if you were wanting a more peaceful sleep!

Nice pool. Simple and older rooms but good size with good showers, kettle & coffee supplied. 5 min walk to beautiful beach that’s good swimming and relaxing. Plenty of shops & eating opportunities. The first room I stayed in smelled like an ash tray. The staff was friendly & helpful to give me another room the next day that smelled nice & fresh.

Very old and tired hotel without territory, but with a great location: a great beach, shops, restaurants nearby. Spacious family rooms, clean pool. Good value for money.

Rooms for guests are kept clean, but in some rooms there is a strong smell of damp and mold, which is into the furniture and possibly into the mattresses and the bathroom door. If it were not for this moment, I can say that I would go back there again.

I’ve stayed here five times in the last two years and it’s always my first choice when in Lamai. I’ve stayed in many places on this road and this is the best family run, budget accommodation option in town. It’s within walking distance to all of the Muay Thai gyms, night market, the beach and bars/restaurants. Nothing is too much trouble, the team are very friendly and accommodating. There’s daily room cleaning, water and pool towels available. The pool is clean and most importantly, the beds are decent and it’s not too loud to sleep, despite being a central location. I have no doubt I will be back :)

Sometimes the drains smell, this is common in Lamai and there’s not much that can be done!

I picked GTH as somewhere new to try & loved my stay for 7 days! I have re-booked another 6 days in March I got a room top floor block b which is at the back! Room was comfortable, clean & got a good nights sleep during my stay Staff are very friendly Pool is great Had a few small problems with room: aircon failing, leak under sink, no tv but all were sorted out Im going back & recommend GTH

I enjoyed my stay. The location was great. A little bemused as to why there was a kettle but no cups. When I enquired I was told there were cups in the room. I looked everywhere and only found glasses. As I am a tea drinker I was not going to risk putting boiling water into a glass. I bought a cup. Room was sufficient but not a lot of room. Bed was very comfortable.

Good location, nice pool area. Rooms are getting on but have everything you need from a budget accommodation.

The curtains could be better blockout

The hotel has 2 double beds in one room- for a family of 4 this is all we need. Friendly staff, nice pool, everyday cleaning. Although the hotel takes payment at the property which is fine due to sanctions russian citizens experience.

The hotel is old: doors open with a sound, locks need renovation.

receptionist welcome was a bit blunt with almost no talk and poor english/ was not here when I had to leave AC wall remote in the room seemed broken so had to play with it to get the AC properly working bathroom door ceiling is low , be careful for anyone over 180cm , I did hurt my head a few times Do not let your joint next to your ashtray on the balcony as I did it once, but the second time cleaner threw it away...

Good location and away from noise but just a 2 minute walk to bars, restaurants, 7/11. Nice pool area, big rooms, staff are super friendly and carried my bag to room, little puppy that hangs around too! I went back and stayed for 1 more night a week later, in my second room there were some of them little ants but I feel most hotels have them in Thailand so didn’t bother me.
