Location is excellent at northern end of Lamai Beach. Resort accommodation is quiet yet just 20m away you have direct access to the beach with free sunbeds and towels for guests. Garden bungalows are a good size with both air con and fan, and maid service is daily with free water and coffee. There are loads of shops, restaurants, massage places both long the beach and along Lamai Beach Road. We hired a car for the week when we stayed and Utopia Resort has free parking too. I would definitely recommend this place.

The swimming pool water got green pretty quickly - pool gets cleaned once a week but the water turn green 3 days later. But hey - the sea is on your doorstep

Really enjoyed this little place. Small but comfortable bungalows, amazing shower and very good location. The restaurant was nice, though sometimes a little slow. The rooms are pretty basic, but for this price I was quite surprised at the standard. Thai massage was very good so worth having one of those here, rather than using the ones from beach sellers. The location is great for the night market as well, taking around 5 minutes to walk there. Staff were very welcoming.

Balcony areas are great to chill, but wear insect repellent as they are out in force in this lush garden area. I would go again, it is so chilled and a good place to meet fellow travellers.

In the center of the town right on the beach all of the staff were so friendly all ways smiling room cleaned daily with fresh towels Beach towels can be obtained from the beach side restaurant. On our leaving day it was the start of the water festival we ordered a taxi from the reception and a late departure no problem. Taxi never arrived the Owner took us in his own car it took 3 times as long because of the celebrations he just smiled as if it was another day, only got back late last night missing it all ready. We are returning in July cannot wait

The room is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a refrigerator, air conditioning, a table, and chairs on the terrace. Two bottles of water are provided daily, and the room is cleaned daily.

The bathrooms are outdated and have mould buildup. The sunbeds are also very old. The hotel requires significant renovations, but the location is great, right on the beach. But Lamai is not the beast beach on Samui, it can get dirty and wavy, so consider this when booking ;)

Everything was good. The location right in the middle of Lamai, we could walk everywhere we needed to go to. The receptionist was nice and helpful. The bedroom, although not modern, had a certain charm about it. Tin roof, large wooden veranda... old fashioned style but comfortable. Situated on the beach with free sunbeds. Restaurant and massage next to the beach. Private car available to take you to the port or airport. It was perfect for our needs. Highly recommended and we would not hesitate to return.

Great location, right near the beach and main part of Lamai. I got the pool view rooms and the bed was suuuuuper comfy and the PILLOWS!! a lot of room and shower had great pressure and temperature. Staff very helpful and rooms cleaned everyday. Not flashy but great value for money!

There was a funny smell coming from the drains in the bathroom but to be honest it does happen in Asia a fair amount at budget stays. I found it tolerable.

The blue apartment we stayed in was basic / clean and good value for money. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location on Lamai beach, close to local shops and restaurants

Apartment we booked was not the same as advertised. Utopia appear to have pictures of their Brown apartments. Water for shower could have been warmer.

Cleaning needs to be improved. The shower screen was not clean when I arrived, still had soap scum on it and was not cleaned during my 4 day stay. Bathroom basin had not been cleaned properly either, as with mirrors in bathroom and wardrobe door. There was also a sewer smell in the bathroom occasionally, not fixed by putting water in the floor waste trap as I tried this and also the owner/manager. But perhaps linked to this and flushing the toilet???

This is the best place on Koh Samui i have ever been. Location is perfect! Bungalows are so close to the beach (about 30 m:)) and there is so close to the city and food markets and restaurants from here. Near by is also muay thai camp (5 min walking). Utopia has its own restaurant on the beach where we ate every day good breakfast. There are lots of trees and nature between bungalows. Its quiet place and the space between houses enaugh to find intimicy. For sure i will came back to Utopia next time!

The location was great and very convenient to what we needed. Could always park our car in from hotel also big plus. The beach was great, always chairs awailable👌. The room was quite big and AC could be always on 🙏

The housekeeping staff did not speak a word of English and it was quite hard to communicate with them. We we’re trying to get our cover bed sheet changed on day 3 or 4 due to a stain and spoke to multiple staff about it and it never happened in the 10 nights we stayed. Kitchen staff also had limited English (but better) and we had quite few misunderstandings/wrong orders etc around breakfast due to that which made us feel uncomfortable. The breakfast lacked variety.
