We had an amazing stay at The Great Hotel! The place was clean, well-maintained, and had a great atmosphere for meeting other travelers. The location was super convenient, and close to Patong Beach. What made the experience truly special was the owner. They were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure I felt at home. From helpful local tips to arranging transport and activities, they genuinely cared about every guest's experience. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and safe place to stay. Will definitely come back!

I already write my review in my first stay from 6th to 21th of April as I extend 2 more nights till 23th of April, still not enough to explain how this place is nice and affordable in price even in april as there’s a sonkran festival. Another big and special thanks to Mr. James who was friendly with me since day and i make always to go down and have a chat with him and Ms. Mhelle who safe me when my passport get wet as I forget in my shoulder bag when i went to celebrate for sonkran festival, and i can say that i made it home and no one questioned me about my passport as my passport is electric one so everything was smooth till i arrived home safely. Everything. Mel and James are amazing hosts. They could not do enough for us. The room was comfortable, always clean and smelt amazing! We were originally given a front of hotel room close to the road, we were holding advance about the road noise, my partner is a heavy sleeper so not a huge deal, after 1 night (out of 5) we were given an upgrade to the back of the hotel on the top floor, lovely and quiet! Mel and James will do anything they can to make your stay more enjoyable, even without request! If you come to Patong, you have to stay here!!

The owners and staff are amazing here, they were so friendly and helpful. The beds are really comfy too. Great location, easy walk to Malin Plaza (heaps of food), 7eleven & topps very close by, easy walk to beachfront too. For the price this is a bargain.

The fridge turns off when you take the power key out and go out for the day which is super frustrating. If traffic noise is an issue for you, then thats probably something to consider but in all honesty if traffic noise is an issue for you, patongs not your place, thats got nothing to do with the hotel :)

I wanna give a nice 5 starts to this Hotel: i spent more than a month in there and i really enjoy ed my stay! Management, like all other part of the Team is super nice! Really a family business with a special care of customers! Location is perfect: very close by to everything needed. Room was good! I am sure i will first contact them for my next trip in Patong! Worth the be there! They also have a pizzeria in case you don’t want to go around! Highly appreciated the good support and assistance when needed from all Team!

The room is clean, bed so comfy, staff very helpful and friendly, also the restaurant is so amazing, food is something different specially their pizza, special thanks to Mr. James who was friendly with me the whole time and having chat always. Also special to Ms. Mhelle who always be nice with me the whole time. Till next time the great hotel

I can’t say a lot about 3 stars hotel but i hope when i comeback here i see this place better than before

James and Mel were fantastic hosts. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and everything was no more than a 25 minute walk away. Lots of nice Thai restaurants within a stones throw, and plenty of other cuisines to choose from if you wanted. The little place just down the road served up the best Larb!

I stayed in one of the rooms facing the road. I'd recommend earplugs for sleeping as there are some times when the traffic is quite noisy.

I had a wonderful stay at The Great @ Patong Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I would especially like to thank Mil and James for their outstanding hospitality and warm attitude — they truly made me feel welcome. The location is great, the price is very reasonable, and the service exceeds expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Phuket and looking for comfort, great value, and kind-hearted staff.

I had a very good stay. Mhelle was particularly helpful with my on line check in for my flight on the next day and in arranging for an early morning call and taxi service. The hotel was very comfortable and convenient for facilities in Patong. The hotel is a little away from the busiest and noisiest part of Patong but that suited me perfectly Plenty of restaurants nearby and a huge street food market. We booked this Hotel based of the previous reviews, & now we understand why they have such good reviews. All the staff were very welcoming & more than happy to help us in anyway we needed. James talked a big game about the pizzas, so we had to try one out and let’s say his not wrong! Outstanding! Would definitely return!

Nothing we didn’t like at all, only thing we feel like our room (501) would benefit from is a full length mirror.
