Room was spacious and new. Clean. Lots of effort made to make you feel welcome. Lovely pool, cheap scooter rental delivered to your door. Its an easy walk to Charlie Beach - but we hired a scooter. You'll need one, or cheap tuk tuks (50 baht a person to anywhere) to go to town, but there are eateries within walking distance too. Hermit crabs. Day trip to Koh Kraden + snorkelling. Overall we loved the place and the hosts. Charming , helpful, godo value, and clearly lots of effort put in.

The beach isn't really a beach but don't worry - everyone goes to Charlie beach - the water there is unbelievably clear and accessible at all tides. The main white sand beach you see in Koh Kood promos isn't really usable - just bear that in mind - but it's nothing to do with this place.

The room and the bathroom are huge. There are plenty of towels at your disposal in the room and at the pool. Good breakfast with large choice of different western options. You can feel that the hotel has ambitions to be a so-called better category place with fancy "origami" made of towels and fresh flowers on the bed:)

I wish we could have Thai breakfast options as well. The only window in the room is a sliding door- the entrance to the room. That means that if you are not a big fan of the AC (like me) you can't switch it off and sleep with an opened window. Some places in the garden and surroundings of the bungalows give the impression of an unfinished construction site.

Tasty breakfast, nice big and clean rooms. Very nice bathroom with a view outside. Friendly stuff. Nice view to the sea. 15 min walk from Charlie beach where you can swim. Very nice swimming pool with wonderful sea view. They do laundry for good price and the motorbike we rented was very new and in good quality.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Pretty close to Charlie Beach and walking distance to the main town. The resort also helped us with taxi / tuktuk when we didn't feel like walking, only 50 THB per person. Nice swimming pool and very nice rooms. Cute cats all over the resort :)

Dogs outside the bungalow. Problem with air conditioning. Eventually stoped working then was fixed promptly Breakfast was cold and I got food poisoning from it on our last day

The staff is the asset of the hotel, nothing is too much for them. In addition, this hotel is one of the few with swimming pool, which we enjoyed a lot (most of the time, we had the whole pool for ourselves).

The breakfast is simple and the same every day. The bed is too hard, just our personal preference.

It was clean, and rather cheap. Pool was really great, especially if you just walked back from the main streets in the heat.

Location is in the middle of nowhere, not much to do. Either taxi, or by foot (luckily it’s 15 min walk from the main streets). There is no beach nearby, the shore is mangroove forest, thus it’s muddy, not suitable for swimming.

The Sun Great Resort stands out for its extremely friendly and attentive staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The rooms are very clean, and the food is good, making for an enjoyable experience overall.

However, there are a few drawbacks. The outdoor area still looks like a construction site, which detracts from the overall ambiance. Additionally, access to the hotel is only possible through the beach, requiring guests to walk through the sand—a challenge, especially with luggage.
