If you need a great place to stay in Istanbul within a reasonable budget, be it for business or leisure, look no further — unless you are willing to pay 2-3x for a luxurious resort. Don’t be deceived by its 4* badge. AC Hotel Macka is a new and very comfortable property that upholds to the highest standards of hospitality industry and dwarfs multiple pseudo-5* noname hotels Istanbul is plagued with. Upscale location, clean, safe, quiet, comfortable, spacious rooms, attentive English-speaking staff, etc., etc.

Buffet breakfast could benefit from more variety.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! •The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. •Housekeeping did a fantastic job — my room was spotless and felt like I had just checked in every day. •Room service was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. •The bed was very comfortable, with high-quality pillows and sheets that made for a great night’s sleep. •Towels were also very clean and fresh. •I really liked the location — it’s quiet, yet surrounded by cozy cafés and grocery shops. This hotel will definitely be my first choice for my next visit to Istanbul!

Very friendly staff, always helpful and trying to meet all the expectations. Air conditioner was defect in one of the rooms and they bumped us to a better bigger room with sea view. Well sound-proof rooms kept you asleep all night long. Rooms are clean, room service is very good and deliver in a few minutes. Receptions always trying their best for effective communication and stand-out was Coşkun, who made sure that our check-out was as smooth and quick as possible.

Restaurant has very limited options and breakfast is definitely much more expensive than anything you can imagine in any of the cafes around the hotel (hint: no cafe is open before 9:30, so the hotel is the only option for an early breakfast). Lunch and dinner options are just not so much that you can call it a restaurant but rather a canteen.

I stayed at AC Hotel in Istanbul for 6 nights and had a truly wonderful experience. The stay was amazing, and the team at the reception made it even better. I would especially like to thank Naif, Tolga, and Denzia— they were extremely professional, kind, and welcoming. Their hospitality and respectful attitude stood out and made me feel right at home. Also, I’d like to mention a lady from the laundry team — I didn’t catch her name, but she was incredibly kind, helpful, and thoughtful. Her warmth and positive attitude really left a great impression. I truly appreciate the efforts of the entire team and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

The staff could not do enough for us, every query or request was met by them, they went above and beyond to help . The room was very comfy, kept clean and well stocked with water and refreshments. If you needed any extra you only had to call and it was brought to your room immediately. The food in the restaurant was lovely. The hotel is well placed to visit all what Istanbul has to offer.

There was nothing we did not like.

Nice cozy hotel in cool area very close to all major attractions. Everything looked clean and modern. The room was just as expected – it basically had enough of everything. Appreciated that window in the room was openable, as I like to sleep with fresh air coming inside. Though it could be noisy in the night (well not too much, depends on your preferences). Had a great pleasure communicating with the staff. Everyone was kind and caring. Breakfast was not too big in a choice, but more than enough for me – they've even prepared something out of the available options for me. Thank you!

Toilet-brush needed to be changed months ago (you know, it's not a furniture, it should be changed regularly). Hope the Hotel can take in account this small detail, as it adds to the overall picture. The biggest disappointment was the wifi. Even google maps on my phone needed some time to refresh, not speaking about YT and others. I had to use my esim for browsing and working. It was the same for me on 4th floor and my colleague on 7th. I think it's not acceptable for any hotel of this class in city center to provide such complimentary feature. In 2024 fast wifi should be provided by default. Anyway this didn't ruin my impression of the hotel! Though I hope they could fix it, so that I can enjoy my future stay even more :)

Great location. Very clean and well-done housekeeping services. The staff was already ready to help and friendly (especially the Breakfast Hall staff) There are many restaurants and shops around the hotel. Celebrate New Year.

We loved the location, right on the doorstep for everything we wanted to do. The staff were all so helpful with good recommendations. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and everything we asked for was no trouble at all. Many on our group stayed here as well and everyone had the same experience as us.

The sauna needs to be arranged in advance and so you need to plan to go and ring down so it can be turned on. I was not told this and so the one time I went to the spa to use the sauna it was cold which was disappointing.

The hotel is exactly what we wanted. Located away from the chaos of the tourist area but close to many restaurants and public transport . Upon check-in I asked if our room had a window and was told it did not so I upgraded to a room on the top floor with a balcony upon advice from the reception manager Berk. The room was great and had a great view of the Bosphorus. Upon checkout Effe and Samet looked after our bags , updated my Marriot membership to ensure my wifi was complimentary. The entire stay was very comfortable, excellent shower. Only a 20 min walk to the tram that takes you to Sultanahmet.

Our travelling friends stayed in a room facing the main street and did find it a little noisy as they prefer the window open . Upon request the reception person gave them ear plugs. We had no issues with noise on the top floor . The only think we would have liked was to be able to have a drink in the hotel bar late one evening however it was closed. All in all a great stay .

Location was close to the centre and most relevant places. It was uphill like most of Istanbul city centre, which makes is it difficult to reach in walking and Taxi. The service, Breakfast and food are quite good. Glad I spent almost a week in this Hotel.
