Great property at Bosphorus with nice sea view rooms. Great hotel facilities and lovely breakfast with outdoor seating.

Front desk and guest relations staff were arrogant in the way they talked to me. I have never been to any 5 star hotel with such arrogant facial expression and use of words. After verbal complaint, Duty Manage, offered me an apology and room upgrade but I rejected the upgrade to demonstrate to him that I do not need an upgrade. An apology from staff could have been enough. To be fare, Duty Manager was good in his approach.

My stay at Çırağan Palace Kempinski was truly exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the palace, I felt transported — the blend of historical grandeur and modern luxury is unmatched. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help, making me feel like a valued guest every step of the way. A special highlight of my visit was dining at Tuğra Restaurant. It’s hard to put into words how beautiful the setting is — dining in an actual Ottoman palace, with breathtaking views of the Bosphorus, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The food was absolutely divine — every dish was a perfect balance of tradition and creativity. The presentation, the flavors, the service — all flawless. It was easily one of the best meals I’ve had, not just in Istanbul, but anywhere in the world. If you’re visiting Istanbul and want to experience true elegance, Çırağan Palace is the place. the hotel view very good and location of the hotel was amazing

the quality of the breakfast was very poor, it was not fresh and not good quality at all.

The Ciragan doesn’t fail in delivery. From the start you are doused with attention. The check in was seamless although when the Clark gave us options of other rooms we thought we were being upgraded a good marketing strategy it was not appreciated for such and establishment . The rooms are beautifully decorated with all the latest additions like usb ports. The bathroom is also great with all the amenities a nice addition would be a reed defuser with the signature Ciragen perfume this will add ambiance and make the bathroom smell sublime . The Spa is also great with a sauna Steam room and massage facilities as well as an indoor pool. The pool temperature was supposed to be 28 deg C but it was no where near that a bit of a disappointment so was the outdoor pool temperature not what was noted on the board. Breakfast was more than adequate and lots of options to suit anyone’s taste. The staff were efficient. Only on our last day we were put in a corner table and largely ignored. Check in was quick and easy. The concierge was knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel chain has been in operation since 1897 and they have got luxury and hospitality to the best one would possibly expect from them. A well managed hotel kudos to the manager and his remarkable team. A winner and a must stay in Istanbul

The hotel definitely lived up to expectations and justified its relatively steep price. Location is unique on the Bosporus shore, its modern building well integrated architecturally to the adjacent historical palace. Ottoman-style decoration avoids excess and exudes good taste, both in the common spaces and in the room. Views out of the room window to Bosporus were magnificent, especially before and during sunrise. Room comfort and amenities excellent, great pillow service. Personnel polite and attentive, as befitting the name of the hotel. Being there in winter, we missed dining al fresco on the terraces overlooking the channel -but we are committed to return soon! Overall, Ciragan is the hotel of choice in Istanbul. The Palace makes the place unique, while the hotel itself is top in most respects.

Breakfast was good, but not great. A buffet was missing, we were expecting a bit more food-wise, while the ambience of the room could have been better (e.g. the rattan furniture looked out of place to our eyes). In terms of sleep comfort, although the pillows were great, the super soft and rather wallowy mattress was a big issue for me, being accustomed to medium-hard ones. Distance from city centre can be a bit tiresome given the traffic at certain times of the day, but a small price to pay overall.

Has to be one of the best hotels in the world. No shortage of staff who are very attentive. Best location in Istanbul. Many restaurants to choose from. As with this standard of hotel, the prices are not for the faint hearted! Has to be the best breakfast choice of any hotel. Previous high ratings for me include The Mount Nelson in Cape Town and The Mandarin Oriental in Bangkok, however I think Ciragan tops them now. Communication was excellent. I asked for a room with the Bosphorus Bridge view as we were there for New Year and the fireworks, not let down as the best view ever. Also they accommodated my request for early check in.

Nothing to dislike

this is a prime property for Istanbul. so I wont be talking about the hotel itself, what made our day was the personalized service. I would like to specifically commend Samire, she looked after our stay from the minute we walked in and at every minute of our stay (including a generous late checkout, access to to the private wing of the hotel and the extended stay in the property after checking out) , Samire, we couldn't thank you enough for all the care, Hope to see soon.

We took their recommendation to try their “fine dining” Turkish restaurant- this was a big disappointment - it was all too fussy for me. I am not really a fine dining fan so it was always an uphill fight to get me to like it - I didn’t - wines were limited and far too expensive and food was OK but that was it
