The hotel was very clean and well located. It was in the quiet Fener area, a short tram journey (50p) in to the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. The staff were amazing, any issues were dealt with quickly. The roof top terrace for breakfast is stunning. Breakfast consists of coffee/water/ fresh bread/salad and.an omelette.
Some of the rooms are noisy (room 301) There was an issue every day, either no coffee at breakfast, the wi fi was down or the safe in the room did not work. The staff tried the best to sort any issues quickly. Be aware there is NO alcohol served in the local restaurants. Breakfast is limited to an Omelette in terms of your egg option.

The location is very good, with a tram stop across the street and only 2 stops from the Galata Bridge. The staff were very kind, especially Enes who welcomed us at check-in in a very attentive and helpful way. The room was large and had a great view over the river.
The breakfast was very poor. In 3 days they always served the same thing. It is noted that everything was prepared the day before, fruits and cheese already dried. Also very little variety. The only thing fresh and good was the scrambled eggs and coffee. They could improve a lot at breakfast, especially if they put up a buffet with more variety of fruits. Another negative point was the noise from the bedroom doors, which close with a spring movement and slam loudly, waking up early anyone who is still sleeping on that floor. They should remove the springs and put some insulation in the doors.

Great location and helpful staff. The hotel is near Fener district packed full of great little restaurants and atmosphere. Look both ways in the narrow streets though! Hotel was comfortably close to the tram stop and far enough out of the central city to be peaceful. The staff had good English and could answer all questions and we're very friendly and nice. My spectacles broke and they helped me find an optician who could assist.
Unfortunately, when we arrived late in the evening, the sandwich from the cafe bar at the reception area was a bit 'tired' but the drinks and cakes were fine . The restaurant upstairs was fine in terms of food but a bit pricey for what it was, considering the competition up the road.

Location since i wanted at Fener. Close to tram line No5, only 3 stations to Eminonu. Rooms one for 2 persons and one junior suite, was exactly what i had seen at photos prior booking.. The hotel is small and has a character.
Breakfast can be improved. It was not poor, but i can say it rather boring, especially since i spend 6 nights there. A fixed mixed plate of cheese, cake, burek etc and a selection of egg., plus bread and honeys and jam. If they can turned it to a a mixed style little buffet and what they have now i think will ne better.

Staying at Petrion Hotel was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Istanbul. The location is perfect—peaceful yet close to everything, blending authentic charm with modern comfort. The rooms were spotless, well-designed, and offered a cozy escape after a long day exploring the city. But what truly set this stay apart was the incredible service—especially from Gamze. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. Her warmth, professionalism, and thoughtful local recommendations transformed our experience from a simple hotel stay into something genuinely memorable. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated and passionate about hospitality. Huge thanks to the entire Petrion team—and a special shoutout to Anas as well for his kindness and support throughout our stay. You both made Istanbul unforgettable.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, cozy, and modern. The location is ideal, nestled in a charming, tourist-friendly neighborhood full of great restaurants and picturesque streets. The breakfast was delicious, and the view from the restaurant was an extra treat. The staff were exceptional — **attentive, helpful, and always friendly**, making my stay even more enjoyable.
However, my only disappointment was the **room size**. Despite receiving an upgrade from a double room to a **superior double room** through Booking.com, the room felt **very small**. With two people and luggage, there was barely enough space to move around, which made me doubt if it was truly an upgraded room.

We loved our room (the junior suite) which had a great view over the Golden Horn and a huge amount of space. The Petrion is near a very busy and noisy road, but has excellent double glazing and aircon, so the noise is not a problem. Both the front of house and the cleaning staff are incredible, really friendly, helpful, and kind. The downstairs section of the hotel is a great place to hang out and grab of coffee. The hotel is round the corner from trendy Balat, and well connected to the rest of the city through the super-efficient Fener tram stop across the road as well as the Golden Horn ferry.
The breakfast was the only disappointment. It was adequate, but could have been more varied. However, having breakfast outside on the roof deck overlooking the Golden Horn every morning more than made up for the disappointment.

Great location if you want to be slightly away from the main tourist sites, but still plenty going on in Fener and Balat. Close to public transport. Very clean. Staff all friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee facility in room. Breakfast was decent, if a little unimaginative.
It would be great if breakfast was on the roof rather than downstairs. I’d also like to be able to help myself to tea and coffee - and maybe some juice or water? Also, it’s too dark at the bottom of the stairs on the ground floor. These are minor complaints- overall, this is a decent hotel.
