This small hotel was a real treasure and a gift from God! I don’t like big cities and remember Istanbul as a big hectic bazar! I chose this hotel due to its central location in Istanbul’s old town near a convenient metro connection to the airport and in walking distance to all parts of central Istanbul (Fatih, Balat, Sultan Ahmet and Beyoglu). It was a very pleasant surprise for me to find my hotel in a very quiet and authentic neighborhood with just locals and students (the university is there), between two big Mosques (Süleyman and Prince), with a few old sights of the Byzantine heritages nearby! The hotel itself has with its furniture and small details a real charm of love and hospitality. My room was not big, but absolutely clean, the bathroom was modern, the Wifi was good. The breakfast on the terrace in the backyard was tasty and big. It was freshly made and personally served what just underlined the spirit of warm hospitality in this hotel. And last but not least I want to mention Mevlüt the Hotel Manager who made me feel very welcomed just from the human and personal side of hospitality).

Just in my room there was no mosquito net on the window, although it was in others.

Very pleasant stay next to Sulaymaniya Mosque, the decor of lobby & rooms takes you back in time to otthoman old style, its lovely... The breakfast was good, and the host Mevlut was very welcoming and helpful he made sure all the guest needs were fulfilled, the location is close to transportation, + many restaurants\cafés nearby. The hotel serves excellent turkish coffee & tea for a reasonable price. They even had a stocked mini bar, which was very convenient. I like the fact that no Alcohol is served at the property. The backyard terrace is beautiful.

The budget room was nice, just enough for 2 people with carry ons at best. The deluxe room looked spacious, though. Basic amenities included. Otherwise, all went smoothly...

The best of the hotel is the manager. He offered us an incredible stay there, gave us useful information regarding the city, where to get some stuffs, how to reach some places, and so on. He also helped us to make the luggage fit with the allowed weight. The breakfast was also very varied and well presented. The furniture both in the room and the gallery of the hotel are very nice, and it has a nice garden -that, sadly, we hadnt the chance to enjoy because of the weather. Finally, the location of the hotel is perfect, just 5 minutes away from the Sulleimani Mosque, and 20 minutes away by walking to the main area. There are also tram and metro stations 5 minutes by walking.

Honestly, we have nothing to complain about. Maybe we had some troubles with the Wifi network the first night, but nothing important. Just a detail among most of good things.

It was a very well kept beautiful building, with everything you need. The shower was amazing, always hot water and 2 different shower heads. The room had brand new Airconditioning. The breakfast was good and the manager just perfect, nothing was too much for him. The location was making this a perfect stay and we would return if coming back to Istanbul. The hotel is easily reached with public transport ( Metro or bus) we had the city card, which was the best decision as we could use, trains, Trams, metros, buses and even boats!!

Other People mentioned that the room was small and no space for large cases but we booked a basic small room, so that was fine for us as we only had hand luggage and didn’t spend much time in it.

It was such an amazing hotel , with great services, everything was clean , you get your breakfast in a beautiful terrace , cats around you and quite safe place .. it just a bit difficult to go by bus or walking , so always take a car.. think about maybe bitaksi app! .. we had a nice time there .. so absolutely recommended.. for that price it's worthy to discover the place .. it's gives a feeling like an old Turkish fancy movie .. so yes .. thank you for the perfect managing, especially since we arrived around 3 a.m. and to not forget , the hotel owner was so friendly and kind and respectful.

We made a reservation for 1 night on our way back to Romania. They confirmed the reservation quickly and texted me after to see if I need anything. The room was very chic and our stay in Solomon's Mansion was perfect even if it was only for one night. Rooms were clean, fresh with a chic air. Breakfast was delicious with different choices and staff was very friendly. Thank you Mevlut for making a pleasent stay.

Our family enjoyed very much staying in this hotel. The best spot for tourists, almost all sightseeing in a short walking distance. Staff is very friendly and attentive to his guests. We loved interior of building with special atmosphere of old gorgeous city. Breakfasts were very good.

The Solomon Mansion provides a wonderful experience for anyone looking to explore the Fatih/Vefa area of Istanbul, with easy access to both tram and metro stations and ports for more wide ranging travels. The hotel itself is quite unique in terms of décor, with a robust and delicious breakfast that meant we didn’t need to eat again until dinner time, even with a full day of walking! The immediate environs seemed very authentic with tea, coffee, and pide establishment close by, but also had a smattering of more westernised locales offering French style patries and Italian style coffees. The magnificent Süleimaniye Mosque is a matter of minutes walk – and Haga Sofia and the Blue Mosque within a half an hour. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, happily organising taxis and tours pick ups. Manager Mevlut in particular was very charismatic and chatty and immediately suggested some wonderful places to check out. The view from our room window was maghnificent, catching the sunset every night. A highly recommended accommodation that ticked all the boxes!

Breakfast was more than excellent and the location too, right in the middle of everything. For us, as Muslims, we could pray our prayers in the Sulaymaniya Mosque which is about 3 minutes far and that was great. Mr Mevlut, the manager, is an excellent host and friend. We enjoyed his company. The rooms were superb, and we could sleep very well at night. No noise coming from outside.

We had a lot of suitcases. We were carrying the world with us. About 12 big suitcases. It was difficult to carry the suitcases upstairs. Of course we had the great help of the manager.

Very good location (close to the historic center and within a relatively short walk from metro station Vezneciler). The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Mev. I was greeted by a cup of nice Turkish tea at the lobby upon my arrival. My room was clean and comfortable. It had everything one would expect. The bathroom was clean, modern and with all fixtures and faucets in good working condition and good water pressure. The breakfast exceeded my expectations for a 3-star property. The only minor hiccup was that the AC that doubles as a heater in winter months wasn't blowing warm air when I tried to warm up the room in the evening. I called the front desk and the issue was resolved. I spent one night at this hotel during a layover in Istanbul and would not hesitate to stay here again. The hotel has definitely contributed to my overall very positive experience in the city.
