The location of this hotel is very ideal. It is walking distance to virtually everything, including Istiklal Street, Taksim Taxi rank, the bus stop, the tram, and countless restaurants. However, despite what I didn't like about the hotel, I would return there when I visit Istanbul again !

I expected the room to be much bigger. I would also have preferred more cupboard space (I had to keep most of my clothing in my suitcase, as there were only 3 hangers inside the cupboard for 2 travellers). The door of the bar fridge couldn't close properly, so our "cold" drinks were all room temperature. The TV only worked on our first night, after that it never had any signal for 9 days (despite reporting this to Reception).

The location is around the corner of Taksim Square and Istiklal Cd. It has enormous amounts of restaurants around the corner. There is a vast majority of public transport possibilities in the neighbourhood. I liked my room. It was room 101 and it is very spacious. The bathroom is kept adequately clean and has a good shower. On some days it was quite cold and other days I walked very much. A nice hot shower would make me very relaxed again. Further more I would like to complement house keeping for always keeping the utencils adequately filled. Towels were always provided in abundance and also other stuff like water bottles and coffee sachets.

I arrived on the starting day of Eid-ul-Fitr. Due to this occasion there was a party hosted on two consequtive nights. I stayed on the first floor and the club is located underneath. Music from the dance club was noticesably hearable. Luckily I had sleeping pills with me with which I was able to fall a sleep. I told this to Gockhan and he offered me right away a room on the third floor as there was still one vacant. I though would like to emphasize that normally the club isn't open. I stayed a week in the hotel and all the other days the room was very pleaseant.

We recently stayed at the Independence Hotel in Istanbul, and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. The hotel itself is cozy and welcoming, but what really made our stay special was the kindness of a staff member named Okan. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home, giving us great local tips and always greeting us with a smile. If you're looking for a place in Istanbul where the service feels personal and genuine, Independence Hotel is definitely the spot. Thanks again to Okan for making our stay memorable!

I stayed 8 nights at this hotel and I highly recommend it! The rooms are spacious, especially compared to those in hotels on Istiklal Street, and very clean. The staff is attentive, responsive, and speaks good English. I hope to visit this hotel again on a future trip!

The location was great. In the heart of everything, will definately stay there again. The staff also were very kind and welcoming + helpful.

It needs small repairs here and there, some facilities were not available at our rooms and we had to ask for it, but the staff were helpful and tried to provide everything we asked for. The rooms need to be painted and wish the terrace was made to be a resturant as the view from it was amazing :)

The location is super excellent, just a few meters from İstiklal Street, where all shopping and restaurants facilities are available. It is also about 350 meters from Taksim metro station, where you can go anywhere from there. As for the room it is very spacious, beds are comfortable and the bathroom was of a good size. We were three people and we didn't feel crammed at all. The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful (unfortunately i didn't catch their names). Overall it was a very good experience 😃

The only downside is that the elevator is on the first floor, otherwise everything was great.

Located in Taksim, just a few steps off Istiklal Avenue, and a short walk (5 mins) from Taksim Square; it is unbelievably well located. Being so close to the Taksim metro entrance, you can get from there to anywhere you want in Istanbul. Just take a look a the metro-tram-funicular line map of Istanbul, get a close look a Taksim station and you'll understand. The staff were very welcoming and overall nice. A great disposition to help with whatever need or question one may have had. They even gave us their whatsapp number explicitly to contact them if we had any trouble while on our visit to Istanbul. They speak enough english to understand and be understood so, what more can you ask for? It's a modern hotel, built on an old building. Everything has been refurbished and works as intended. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Other commenters have said that the main problem of the hotel is the noise from the nightlife of Taksim. We stayed there for more than a week, so we experienced the place at its noisiest (Friday to Sunday), and found that the windows, when correctly closed, acted as a great sound proofer. We could sleep and rest perfectly fine.

The staff were all exceptional with excellent customer service skills. They all went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Hotel is located in the middle of all the action (shopping, restaurants, clubs) and was very clean. Would stay here again for sure.

I had an amazing stay here. Besides the good location and the variety of restaurants and places around you, the hotel staff was the best part. Very nice and welcoming people. Starting with Hassan, Ehsaneh and last but not least Gökhan. ❤️ They checked on our well being all the time and had a lot of conversations. Got to know about each other and made it more like a family vibe. The guys always helped me and my friends with the bags and Gökhan made my stay and my friends special as it was my birthday and the celebration of females day! Whatever you need they are there to help you. I highly recommend it. Great value for the money! Hope to see you again! 😊

The only thing I didn't like was I wish my stay there was longer.
