The hotel has a positive vibe, and the staff is very helpful and polite. Breakfast is always served with a smile, and the cheerful lady who serves it adds to the positive start of the day. The rooms are consistently clean, and I particularly enjoy the ones with balconies. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, making it easy to find. There are also many good restaurants within walking distance. Staff willingly help you with directions to tourist sight and how to get there. Bicycle rentals are available, and the staff will provide recommendations on the best routes to various locations, as well as inform you about areas that are not advisable for cycling. The bus station is within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.

The staff were SUPER friendly and helpful, always available. The breakfast was excellent, a wide variety of freshly prepared items which differed each day. The breakfast attendants were very attentive and friendly, smiling and laughing with us. This place EXCEEDED our expectations and contributed to a wonderful stay in Selçuk.

The place was awesome, so I hate to mention anything, but the lights in the halls were automatic (which is great because they save energy), but sometimes they delayed turning on and then turned off too quickly. This was not a problem for us, but I could imagine a situation where someone might trip and fall, so I would recommend finding a way to keep the lights on a little longer before automatically turning off.

My wife and I loved the Urkmez Hotel. It was in a great location, close to transportation, restaurants, and shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was clean with nice balconies. The bathroom was clean as well. The bed was comfortable. The heater worked flawlessly. The home-made breakfast was excellent and delicious. The breakfast staff (two lovely ladies) was very friendly. Cat lovers, like us, would enjoy the frequent feline visitors. Highly recommended!

There is no elevator. This is an old property that may need remodeling in the future. The room we stayed in was a bit small, but we didn't mind.

The property is well positioned in the centre of town, close to good restaurants and places to have a drink. Our room had a balcony with a good view of the castle. The furniture and fittings were a little basic but this is reflected in the price and everything was perfectly functional. We loved the breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful, making good recommendations and offering advice when asked. Having the opportunity to have clothes washed was an added bonus.

The centre of town is pedestrianised. We parked by the train station. It wasn’t really a problem but something to be aware of. It was made clear in the information provided by the accommodation.

We stayed in Selcuk for one night after our arrival to Turkey from the U.S. We loved the little city itself and enjoyed our stay at the Urkmez Hotel. It is a family run hotel, owned by a young couple. We met them the following morning at breakfast. Their little son was adorable. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was home made in a typical Turkish style. The rooms are not large but were perfect since we were there for one night and went to Ephesus in the morning. They held on to our luggage while we explored Ephesus and we picked it up when we were done. We would have liked to explore the town a little more but it was a festival day and the streets were so crowded. The owner was very kind and took my husband to the pharmacy to buy cream for his foot. Thank you so much.

The hosts were extremely hospitalable. I arrived late to Selcuk bus station and could not get a taxi, I called them and they picked me up within 5 minutes. The place is really nice, the beds were so comfortable. The location is fantastic: 100 metres from the train station with direct connection to Izmir airport. The breakfast is great. There are many restaurants within metres of the hotel. The host is fluent in English and gave me precise directions on how to visit Ephesus. I had a great stay with them. Nice place & good people.

The service, the staff - Matt, Cemut and the lovely two ladies at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived early and dropped off our bags to head out to Ephesus and they kindly gave us Turkish tea and coffee and pastries. They were just very genuine people.

Internet was a little slow, but outside of their control. We have experienced that a lot in Turkey.

This is a lovely family hotel where we were made very welcome. While the room was not large it had all we needed; we particularly enjoyed the balcony. Breakfast was traditional and very good. It is located right in town close to many dining options and the train station, the mini bus station is a short walk away. Watch for the market on Saturday, it's great. The staff were the highlight here, very helpful and friendly.

First, I can say we loved the town of Selçuk! It was wonderful and the area where the Ürkmez hotel is located is the best part! Plenty of cafes and shops. Easy walk to the Basilica of St John and the citadel castle. The hotel was lovely, well maintained, and comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious. Also, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor if you need something to drink. It was a little tricky to figure out where to park but there is free parking available close by and was not a problem for us. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

We had a little trouble using the TV / satellite / cable box that was in our room as it was controlled by a combination of two remotes. Not a big issue and we eventually got it working. We were just not familiar with the equipment.

The room served its purpose. It was a fine room. The staff were kind and helpful. There was parking nearby at a bath house as promised.

For the price, we've gotten more quality in our travels across Turkiye, but I suppose they can charge more because they are near Ephesus and Izmir with more tourists? The bathroom had mold in it, and there was no coffee service in the room. There were bright lights outside the room and the curtain didn't close all the way, so sleep was a bit fitful.
