Group Stay at Cruise Hotel, Como – Mostly Excellent with One Notable Concern I recently led a group of 24 travellers to Italy, and we spent the majority of our stay at The Cruise Hotel in Como. From the outset, everything was as expected — the hotel is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, and its location was known to us in advance, which made planning straightforward. A real highlight of our stay was the thoughtful allocation of a shared space near our 12 rooms, which allowed our group to gather each evening for tea and conversation. This made a big difference to the social dynamic of our trip and was something we greatly appreciated. However, there was one significant downside that impacted our experience. Over a dozen members of our group were elderly, and the lack of support from the hotel staff in getting taxi’s was both surprising and disappointing. While the reception staff pointed to a board with a QR code for a taxi app, the app failed to install on multiple phones, rendering it useless. More critically, there seemed to be little willingness from the front desk team to assist further — despite our elderly guests clearly struggling to walk to the nearest station (a 10-minute walk for me, but over 30 minutes for some of them). This lack of proactive assistance was unfortunate and left a poor impression on an otherwise excellent stay. I have travelled extensively, and this is the first time I’ve encountered a hotel in a European city unable or unwilling to help guests arrange transport. That said, the hotel itself was excellent in most respects, and I would still consider returning — but I would strongly urge the management to reconsider their approach to guest support, especially for older or less mobile travellers.

What a great find! We stayed at the Cruise Hotel for a stopover and it was perfect. The staff were amazing – genuinely so friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless and super comfy. The coolest part? They have these awesome rooms with a private garage underneath. You just park your car and walk straight up into your room. So convenient! It’s also just a quick zip in the car to get to Como for a nice dinner. If you need a clean, friendly, and easy place to stay for a night or two, this is your spot.

Very big room, very clean, quiet and the bed is comfortable. breakfast was great and has various options (they have cooked carrots, mushrooms, spinach and more...) three coffee machines so you don't have to wait in line and there is an option to boil your own egg if you don't prefer Thier's. the place is great it is 13 mins away from Como Lake, 40 mins from Milano, and 30 mins away from Malpensa airport. They have nice restaurant with delicious meals the reception staff helped us to find a car cleaning area before we return our rental car on Monday

if you want to order food to your room, you have to bring it by yourself (self-service)

We were traveling back and forth from germany to Italy for the Easter weekend. We found this hotel hotel on Booking and found it super convenient for the 24 h check in policy, the pet friendly policy and the location that is not straight into a city center. We slept here twice in 4 days with our dog, the first room we got was awesome while the second one was very warm - we could have eventually have called the reception to ask for help but we decider not to. The staff, in general, was very polite and welcoming. We loved the woman who received it with a great attitude, despite it was 2 am, on our first night.

We were very put off by the receptionist Who “welcomed” us on our second stay. He disappeared for a while during our check in, he acted in an erratic way and did not come across as welcoming or polite. He could have been having just a bad day. We were also very surprised when we asked him to charge the card we used to book through Booking since that is what was done on our first stay. He shortly told us “I cannot use the card you used on Booking”. Not a big deal but I feel they should either never use it or always use it. Idk, though, if there is something behind the scenes between the properties and Booking that I do not know - like Booking will Realese the card details only after a certain hour.

They have a secluded parking ( cost 10 E) where you can leave your car and close the parking entrance with a tent-like construction.

If you have a car, it’s perfectly out of the way and has parking. There is a grocery store right by there, so you can grab what you need. The room was big and clean. The bathroom has a bidet but a glass door if you are interested in more privacy - keep that in mind

The A/C was capped at 21 but felt more like 24. Soundproofing could use improvement (really loud kids across the way screaming nonstop) but easily fixable with a white noise app on your phone. Check out is at 11.

The property is newly modified and the staff are friendly. The manager Fabio is excellent and is willing to go the extra mile to make your stay special. We were travelling by motorcycle around part of Europe and our bike broke down. Fabio seen that there was an issue and came out to assist. He arranged everything from the motorbike garage to the transport and even the extra room for our stay. He translated everything for us and even personally drove us to the garage to pick up the bike the next day. The reception staff are warm and welcoming.

Warm and friendly staff. The hotel is big and the room are clean and nice to be in. Beds were comfortable. The gym is well stocked.

The hotel lobby was very attractive. The restaurant served very tasty meals for dinner. The housekeeping office was very efficient. The receptionists were very helpful whenever I had questions. This hotel is near a shopping center so for those who wish to shop, this is good. If you take a taxi, Lake Como and Como town is accessible.

A great option if you are traveling by car. The hotel doesn’t offer much of villa-like experience but it’s well situated between the lake of Como and the lake of Lugano which makes it easy to explore the region. The breakfast was good and the staff was very mindful. They were kind enough to pack our take away breakfast when we were leaving the hotel before the breakfast hours.

The room equipment and the key cards were a bit worn out. We had to ask the staff to replace the key cards several times during our stay.

Good location for business travellers; next to the Autostrada, but no inconveniences because of noice what so ever. Spacious, clean room. Loved the free parking and good connections to Autostrada. Great value for money

Missed an iron in my room. Staff in Bistro old (one guy) and not overly friendly (all staff). Bistro way too small to offer dinner to all guests. Breakfast room however spacious, but breakfast offering very basic but OK. Hate to have to have coffee out of a machine in "coffee country" Italy
