I booked a balcony room overlooking the river and bridge on a high floor, and was glad I did. The view over the river and the sunrise was spectacular. The room was quite large and had everything I needed. There are some nice restaurants 15m walk away and a well stocked convenience store in the street behind the hotel. Very close to the Museum of History.

Unfortunately, the smell of cigarette smoke in the room from balcony smokers downstairs which came in through the aircon. Water not provided in rooms but you can take your water bottle downstairs to fill at the water vending machine. On this stay a large number of children were there with their parents for a dance competition. There was quite a lot of noise in the hallway with kids racing up and down - but not the hotel's fault. The rooms and bathroom are dated - but not unexpected considering the low price point.

Yvette, at the reception was wonderful. My first room was not great but was able to change after two nights and the second room was way better. Location is ideal!

I needed a wake up call this morning, but after the accident yesterday, there was no electricity and nobody called me at 6AM. I almost missed my flight back home. Not impressed by the male receptionist! First room had no coffee maker, and when one was brought up, it didn’t work. And the bulb in the bathroom broke down one night and fixed only the day after…

Good location, rooms were clean, and staff was pleasant.

The write up about the room from booking was wrong, they said the room had a kitchen but it did not. Also booking gave the wrong phone number for the hotel. It was a Volkswagen dealership. When I called Booking.com regarding this they said they would contact the hotel but they never did. In the future, I would just book directly with the hotel.

Very polite staff with nice people. There is three parking available in case the front one is busy. You can get free parking if you sign up as a member. We liked the location and the view! It was quiet and cozy. The bathroom was clean and breakfast was good enough. The mini fridge was good, the tv was good, and the sheets were clean.

We saw two black spots on the wall next to the tv which gave me anxiety hoping those are just moth/fly eggs, but nothing else. I am not sure. I inspected the whole room and it was clean, but only those two spots.

Very bicycle friendly hotel and location, very pleasant staff, ample parking even if not directly at the hotel front, good breakfast locations, easily access to Ottawa.

Somewhat noisy air conditioning units that need an upgrade, having chilled the room and turning it off let me sleep comfortably throughout the night in a very hot humid summer.

The hotel location was wonderful! The only issue was some construction around the area but overall very easy to find. The breakfast was very good for the price of the hotel, the room was amazing with even more of an amazing view. The bathroom/bedroom were clean. WIFI was included in the price of the hotel. Overall I would come back here again!

The pillows were uncomfortable to sleep on for me as I have neck issues, they were quite thin! The bathroom - the only downside is that the toilet and the sink were very low (well below waist) but still usable. The toilet seemed a bit rusty on the bottom but it didn't really affect my stay in any way, it was more of cleanliness thing.

The hotel is already a bit old, which is visible in the installations and equipment. But the rooms are clean, the price is OK for Ottawa. The advantage is free parking. The area is quiet, but the bridge located nearby was closed, maybe that's why. You can get to the city center on foot, but the hotel is located on the other side of the river, so it's a distance of over 1 km.

The hotel is OK for short stay

We chose this place for its amazing view of Ottawa river and Parliament building and we weren't disappointed - heart of the city visible from your room is wonderful! Room is comfy; bathroom is new and very comfortable, has everything you need (except mentioned bathrobes), also has a large window with nice view. Great benefit - free coffee machine with tasty coffee and microwave near reception (there is also small coffee machine in room, but the coffee is not tasty). Daily room cleaning. Great area: quiet but close to store, restaurant, park, museum, bus stop, bridge to Ottawa.

The only one real problem is the air conditioner: it's noisy, and the worst part both ours and next room's air conditioner were placed on our balcony - this makes it almost not possible to stay on the balcony since it's very noisy and very hot.

Front counter staff were great informal answered all questions said good morning when I came down for a coffee just very nice stuff

Didn’t like that you had to park in one of the four other parking lots not very secure areas also no maid came in or stay at all to make the beds or give us clean towels

Front desk officer at time of check-in wasn't friendly. Seemed like he was not happy doing that time shift. Wanted to make a tea in the reception area machine there were no tea bags and when we asked front desk for some we were told they hadn't any. Big table in reception area was very dirty; when we sat down at it, front desk officer didn't even offer to clean it up.
