Everything was great, they are linked to the convention center so we don't need to go outside in the cold to get there, is a little bit of a walk but its ok. They have the system which allows you to login your Netflix,YouTube and Amazon Prime which is awesome!

I didnt like the fact that they wanted to charge me for parking, given that I am a bonvoy member. They only give free parking for new Bonvoy members, which makes no sense as you will not reward the loyalty of current member as well??? In any case, I had to create a new account to get free parking which was a little bit of a hassle.

Great location, lots of things to do nearby. Clean room, professional staff.

The price for one night was astronomically high in my opinion, I know there are lots of factors to consider like inflation, etc, etc, but nearly $400 for one night seems a bit much. There were no events going on nearby (in fact most people were going to Montreal for the Grand Prix), so I don't understand why it could be so high. But so be it. This is my only beef with my stay.

If you are planning on visiting Ottawa or the Ottawa region, this hotel is a very fine alternative to the many choices in the downtown area. The rooms are very spacious, immaculately clean, comfortably carpeted, furnished in a aesthetically pleasing manner, and provide a nice view of the Gatineau riverfront. I chose a room with a single king bed and a sofa and especially appreciated the very long expanse of the desk and the cabinet, which stretched across much of the room’s wall area, providing me with ample space to lay out my things. The real draw of the hotel is its outstanding location — right across the street from the Canadian Museum of History (which, despite the very disappointing renovation of its formerly excellent Canada Hall, still remains Ottawa’s most interesting museum, especially when it hosts special exhibitions on a European theme). One can leave one’s jacket and belongings in one’s hotel room, cross the street and tour the museum at will — even return to the hotel and come back to the museum, if the need arises. Plus, the National Gallery and Parliament Hill are just a short (and enjoyable) walk away across the nearby Alexandra Bridge. And at night, the view of Parliament picturesquely illuminated across the river is one of the most memorable sights in the Ottawa area. Breakfast is as good as one would expect, with not only eggs and bacon on offer but also sauteed vegetables and potatoes. Parking is extra but always available: if the above-ground lot fills up, additional space is on offer in an underground garage on site. Better still, even after the 11:00 check-out time, one can still leave one’s car in the lot on check-out day at no additional cost till 17:00. All in all, I can avidly recommend this hotel for both shorter and longer stays.

The most notable drawback of the hotel is that it does not provide microwaves in every room. Rather, there is a single unit in the lobby, and while it is generally available, one would much prefer the convenience of having a microwave in one’s own room.

FOUR NIGHT STAY/Aug 2023 . Staff were outstanding ..seriously..they were amazing ! Location was A+ , walking distance to bars and restaurants as well as Parliament Hill ,National War Museum and right across the street, The Canadian Museum of History. This hotel has direct access to the huge biking path/system in Gatineau/Ottawa. There is a storage room in the underground garage for your bike. Just ask at the front desk about accessing it. The hotel restaurant/bar L'Ardoise, has great food and was a relaxing way to have a drink before or after returning from your excursions. The breakfast buffet which opens at 7am, was a winner. Hotel was very clean and rooms were kept tidy .

While in your rooms , sometimes you can hear pipes banging from neighbouring showers. Adjoining room doors are not very well insulated for sound dampening , as I could hear the television next door( I'll assume the sound was turned quite high) ,but any noise from the hallway was low to moderate. This being said, it's a hotel and I always expect some volume levels and sounds to be different from what you are immune to at home.

The room was spacious and well-appointed. We received free parking in the parking garage. We enjoyed the soup and salad in the restaurant as well as good service.

Since we have stayed at the hotel previously, we knew that the bed was too high for my wife who is 5'2". She brought a small fitness step to get into bed. We also brought a nightlight and plugged in the bathroom for visits during the night to avoid turning on the light.

Excellent location for a conference at Portage. Climate control easy to work. Bed was comfortable.

Rooms were not very sound proofed but I turned on the fan and it drowned out the sounds of doors banging and people talking in the hallways.

The room was very spacious and well organized. Really appreciated the TV having Chromecast to cast from my iPad. The bed was extremely comfortable.

The coffee could of been a better/stronger brand. Also the bathroom light is so bright when we go to the washroom in the middle of the night. It would be appreciated if there was a dimmer or some type of night light.

The concierge we communicated with were very helpful and always with a smile. Check in and Check out were a breeze! Location is ideal for us as we were there for a competition across the street and Parking was a bonus as it is so close and convenient.

We were checked in Room 726 and took HOURS to get the coolness to the ideal temperature. The body wash container was empty. Other than that we had no other complaints.

great room, brilliant location, extremely comfy bed and all very modern. Staff at check out were fabulous - helpful, accommodating and actually smiling

our room wasn’t ready on arrival and that may have been my fault as we arrived before the time I had advised but well after check-in time (plans change) and we were given a card and advised to call to check whether the room was ready before we returned - I would expect the hotel to do me the courtesy of initiating that contact. When we eventually did check-in, it took an eternity and seemed like a complete hassle for the soulless and charmless gentleman who did it.

Hotel L’hôtel était propre et bien organisé. Personnel poli et serviable. Hot shower and wonderful badroom. Perfect. Je reviendrai!The coffee and water when we are tired make all diferença in my day. Thank you.
