Rooms perfect size, mattresses comfy but a double mattress would have been nicer on double bed, two singles just don't work. Shower was amazing and loved being able to put down a deposit for kettle and fan Shower was incredible and staff friendly and helpful! Free WiFi an bonus and will be using freezer facilities for cool packs and putting down a deposit for key to communal kitchens now were in the know. A really pleasant stay and would stay again!

Single mattresses on double bed not comfy. Shower head would be better if faced wall not curtain as often had a flood it was so powerful. Loved how powerful it was though..

Excellent value for money hotel with great service from the staff. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. We caught the tram from the city centre and this was easy to navigate from the main train station for non German speaking people. We had a meal at a German restaurant across the road, opposite the medical centre and it was delicious - 60 Euros for 2 people (food and wine). We found a shopping mall, a 5 minute walk away and got another very delicious German meal for approximately 13 Euros each. There is a Lidl which is a 5 minute walk in the opposite direction. We just enjoyed walking around Lidl to compare the prices to the UK ! I was overjoyed to get a bottle of wine for 2 Euros !!!! Opposed to the £10 (11.50 Euro) we pay in the UK ! We also walked to a park with lakes and a beautiful restaurant / bar that overlooks one of the lakes and the other lake had slides and a beach but was closed on that day, but would be great for kids. On a funny note, we booked a spa day in a spa in the city centre but arrived and was told it was "textile free" so we had to abandon the spa day as we're too British !!!!! We really liked this neighbourhood and was so happy to stay out of the city centre. A great experience and would definitely stay at this hotel again

I liked my 2nd booking on 2nd floor. This time the room was very large, the bathroom modern and private. Internet here worked perfectly and the TV was bigger with lots of channels on it. Also 2 children Bank beds and 1 double for the adults. Perfect choice for the family trip. The location is far from city center, but in hostel is possibility to do the laundry 🧺 and cook at the guest kitchen, which saves the money. The lobby is children friendly and 24/7, guests never get bored here 👍🏻👾.snacks , drinks and kids corner available 🍕☕🍪

First we had room on the 7th floor, where Internet 🛜 was barely working and we had to go down to the lobby every time we needed WiFi. Also the TV was extremely little and had only one program on it without proper brightness 🔅.. Only one little lift 🛗, another was hadn't been working the whole Easter holidays

We stayed for one night and it was fine. My kids like the play facilities and popcorn machine!

The bathroom was located outside the room! The elevators were full of wall writings!

Thank you to all the others who make my pizza and coffee every day. I love the location. It's so much history in the area. The tram + bus take you there. It's so easy. It is very quiet and spacious to work if needed. Rewe is a 3-minute walk, one of the Best Rewe stores, plus more shops.

The bathroom can use some air freshers on auto spray. And must clean of door handles often. It seems that lots of folks have a bad cold during the cold winter.

Room was clean. Check in was easy with phone, then show code to hotel reception to get key card. No problems with noise or anything, our floor was 3rd floor. Parking car free on nearby street.

We had 6 bed apartment, it was very good, though you have to notice there is no door in either of the bedrooms (other has double bed and other room has 2x2 stacked beds). Bathroom and small kitchen for washing dishes had doors. One bathroom tile was hanging from its corner since silicone repair had failed.

Every time I come to Berlin I make sure to book a room at A&O Hostel. Nice and clean rooms, friendly staff and nice services. The late check out is super if you want to sleep a bit more in the morning and they will take care of your luggage after the check out for free. The chilling area is beautiful and relaxing and although the breakfast is quite basic it's good (maybe a bit too expensive for what they offer) 10 points to their beds, they are SUPER COMFORTABLE

Normally I book the A&O Hostel in Friedrichscain but this time I chose the one in Lichtenberg district (Kolumbus) which was a bit far from the city center.

Staff were lovely and incredibly helpful, we got there before our checkin and they have a luggage room were we put our bags in and went out for the day until our check in. Bed was very comfortable, and the shower was lovely, the room was bigger than what I was expecting which was a pleasant surprise. The ground floor was a communal area with a bar which was 24/7 and you could order food from, pool table, different games, tv where you can watch the game, seating areas, vending machines, and a room where there was a lil concert playing in the evening. Smoking area was outside the hostel, with a pizza vending machine, and there's also a laundry room with an iron and ironing board. We went in the summer, meaning it was hot in our room considering it was on the top floor but we got given a fan which was a godsend. Tram station was close by and so was a lil shopping centre where you can get almost anything your heart desired. Overall, loved staying there.

Very helpful and kind staff, always available to answer all your questions and help you with anything you need. Very delicious breakfast and a large variety to choose from, you will surely eat and not anymore be hungry. It is very clean in the rooms. It has own bathroom. Clean bed sheets. Price - quality very good. The prices are low and therefore is affordable for everyone. Definitely recommend to anyone. We have already been there 3 times, as family, with our two little kids. We took with us also our dog, because the hostel accept it, but we need to pay for: 13 Euros per night. There is even a children's playground near the reception.

Because it is so affordable, there come a lot of kids from the school, in organized trips, but even so they can be a little to loud, especially at 22 o'clock.
