The direct neighborhood of this hotel, when looking out of the window, is not very attractive, yet, because there’s a lot of construction going on. This didn’t bother us though, the hotel itself was tidy and quiet, and it was wuite amusing being able to follow the progress of construction from the swimming pool. And the location was in the government district, close to many of the embassies, about in the middle of the Muscat agglomeration, 15 min from the airport, and 15 min to Mutrah harbour. Route 1 is nearby, there’s a pedestrian bridge to cross this road, on the other side a neighborhood with some restaurants, although for the best places you need a car. There is a good parking garage under the hotel. The hotel itself is really comfortable: good rooms, restaurant, lunch cafe, small shopping center with a small SPAR supermarket. And very friendly personel: thank you Noman and all your colleagues!

A big hotel like the Hyatt offers more dining opportunities, the sea at their doorstep, the availability of alcohol. But when price and all the possibilities of the Intercity Hotel are considered, it is a very good deal!

- The hotel is amazing. It's part of a shopping mall. There were also many business events happening at the time, very nice and lively place. - The room was nicely decorated and very clean :) - The pool area is AMAZING, with a perfect view & they provide beach towels. - The location is fairly good - it's in an area with embassies and ministries, quite posh. - Breakfast was amazing - perfect choice, many options.. a la carte (omelette, eggs, pancakes etc.) was also included in the price of the regular breakfast. - Breakfast was until 10:30 even during Ramadan. - We arrived at 4am & could check in this early and were charged only half of the price for a night. - Very close to the beach. - We enjoyed our stay so much & would easily recommend this hotel to everyone.

- We booked the hotel bcs of its proximity to the beach. However, it's not a beach where people normally sunbath, swim or just lay around. We visited and were the only people there. If you want a beach where you can lay around and swim, this is not it. However, this is the case for most Omani beaches, except the private ones in resorts. - We stayed for 4 days and our room was not cleaned once - housekeeping staff did come and knock for a couple of times, however, we always told them to come later (when we weren't there), which never happened. However, when asked for clean towels or extra bottles of water, they were brought to our room in no time - so most probably, them not coming to clean the room was just a misunderstanding. :)

The staff are very nice. Particularly, I enjoyed kind and friendly interactions with Shakir, Joval, Anwer and Noman. We stayed for 10 days. Hotel location is very nice and the business center attached to the hotel is definitely a bonus. Rooms aren't very large but they are clean. The cleaning staff were really friendly and accommodating our needs. This is a 5 story glass building and for that reason there is no window to open. The self service breakfast was really greate with amazing staff. In particular, we enjoyed talking to Shakir about food, culture, health and everything. All in all the experience was memorable.

Hotel is located very good, 5 minutes walk to the beach. Shopping center is near hotel and also across the highway there are many shops and restaurants. Many options for breakfast and the food was delicious. Room is equipped with everything, bed is very big and the cleaning guys are doing an amazing job. Parking is available and is free of charge and also underground. Pool with a great view of the city and mountains and the water was warm. Staff was friendly and always ready to help.

All the staff, including receptionists, bellboys, housekeeping, and the spa and pool teams, are incredibly warm and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. My experience at the spa was fantastic, especially the exceptional aroma massage by Mimi. She is not only sweet but also highly professional, delivering an outstanding massage. Overall, my stay was excellent—great value for money—and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a five-star experience at a reasonable price. Although it is officially rated as a four-star hotel, the service truly matches five-star standards. Thank you, Intercity Muscat, for creating such a memorable experience for my son and me ❤️💙

Your staff particularly Mr. Norman (the giant guy) is very cheerful, helpful and very approachable. He is always willing to extend assistance to all the guests. The Filipina assigned in the front desk is very professional and always making the most of stay of the guests by providing clear directions and information to the guests.

Since I'll be leaving at 530 am, I was not allowed to have a quick breakfast because it will open at 630. There were already some foods prepared but unfortunately, I was not allowed to have it, instead I was only allowed to have a coffee.

I had a great stay at this hotel. I initially booked for two nights, but the service was so good that I extended my stay twice, ending up staying for ten days. 😃 A special shoutout to Mr. Denmark. I forgot to add breakfast to my reservation, and when I showed up late, he humorously chased me down for the 8 rials for a nearly finished breakfast. 😄🍳 His dedication and persistence were memorable and made for a good laugh! Also, Mr. Shakir, who serves breakfast, was fantastic. He always made sure I had everything I needed, even bringing me coffee without asking and checking that everyone was happy. ☕👍 His attention to detail and friendly service were much appreciated. There’s limited space to mention everyone, but the staff here are truly excellent. Munther and Abdulrahim, Marwa the lovely Omani lady at the front desk, were all amazing. 👏🎉 Kudos to the HR team for their great choices! All in all, the great service and attentive staff made my stay really enjoyable. Highly recommend! 🌟 POP

Only food meals were a bit expensive , luch or breakfast out of reservation

Modern, well-appointed, close to the airport, 15 mins’ Drive from Muttrah. It is a short walk in one direction to the beach, and in the other direction, across the highway to great eateries, banks, etc. It is also attached to a contemporary mall with coffeeshops and fancier dining options. A business hotel that serves the surrounding government Ministries and embassies, it provided the perfect functionality for us to round up a fortnight’s stay in Oman. The staff were friendly and professional. OMR10 to extend our check-out till 5pm.

As with other 4- and 5-Star hotels, we couldn’t book a regular OTaxi, even from the adjoining mall. For our airport ride, we went across the road to the Ministry of Transport and our kind concierge, Noman, helped us with our bags.

We liked the ultra modern decor and extremely comfortable room. The breakfasts and buffet style evening menu had lots of delicious healthy options, something for most nationalities. We enjoyed an evening stroll on the deserted beach 10 minutes walk away.

We found the embassy district location further away from the main attractions than we were expecting, however it was peaceful and there were abundant taxis waiting to take guests into the city for a reasonable fee. We felt that the promotional photograph of the pool is misleading giving the impression that it is secluded when actually it is overlooked by almost every hotel room and is itself on a third floor roof top terrace and overlooking a busy highway. Having said that, we did not visit Oman to relax by a swimming pool so it did not directly affect us.
