The resort is on a private island and the villas are great for families. The staff really are exceptional and made our trip. Mahmud took extra special care of us and made it his purpose to get whatever we needed. Really outstanding service which is unmatched. Dickson & Hisham on reception were always friendly and happy to help with the club car and Greg, Brenda and Ramesh in the restaurant made us feel special at every meal and accommodated any request we made. A truly 10/10 experience from start to finish. The pool area had a great vibe. The service at pool side was fast and the menu is varied. I cannot recommend Al Maya enough, what a fantastic experience.

A USB charging socket for charging in the room would be nice. But this is a teeny tiny niggle. Don’t let this put you off. Plenty of power outlets in the room.

I spent a few days on this incredible island and was absolutely blown away by the setting — it’s like a little paradise tucked away from the world. The natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and breathtaking views made it a perfect escape. I also want to highlight how kind and helpful the staff were throughout the stay. Always attentive, always smiling — they really made us feel welcome and well cared for (Special thanks to Greg, Brenda, Ramesh and Peter from the F&B team, and to Dixon from the Security/Reception Team). Before arriving, I had read a few mixed reviews about the food, so I was a bit skeptical. But I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I tried almost every starter and main dish on the menu, and everything was delicious, fresh, and well presented. Clearly, a lot of care goes into the kitchen. All in all, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy a unique, relaxing experience in a stunning location.

We booked a villa at Al Maya Island & Resort, and the experience was simply amazing! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—special thanks to Madan, who surprised us with a beautiful room decoration, and Mahmoud, whose warm welcome and attentiveness made our stay incredibly comfortable. The beach was serene and clean, and our villa offered fantastic value for money. It was the perfect quick getaway from the city hustle, while still being accessible. Overall, the blend of outstanding hospitality, peaceful surroundings, and thoughtfully designed accommodations made this one of the best staycations we’ve had. Highly recommended!

- The TV felt a bit outdated—it wasn’t a smart TV and streaming was limited - Bathroom amenities like shampoo and shower gel were rather basic and could be improved. - Given the resort’s secluded setting, it would be nice to have an on-site gym or basic fitness options. However, don’t let these small issues discourage you—they’re minor compared to such an enjoyable retreat!

The peace and quiet of our lodge. The service and food was excellent. Every where was clean and the housekeeping did a very good job. The Staff were very accommodating and laid up our dinners and breakfast everywhere we wanted them, whether on the beach or grass. The service round the pool side was excellent.

Slight lack of 13 amp plugs in the lodge. Shower had a drainage problem partly because the tiled floor was not draining properly. On checking in we were disappointed that we had to pay more for a 14 year old when all was declared correctly on Booking.Com

The staff was utmost professional and accommodating to all our requests, whether it was having meals on the beach, or any last minute requests. The private pool is definitely big plus as well. Big shoutout to Ali from the frontdesk for making this stay comfortable, he is definitely a hospitality star.

Due to the weather being windy, some areas of the room were subjected to some sand/dust. Would've been nice if the housekeeping was extra meticulous with the floor cleanliness in this aspect. Ot is very nitpicky and minor. The TV was slightly outdated considering it was antenna only. No other comments, everything else was splendid.

The staff really did everything to make us feel comfortable. - late pick up from the boat jetty, since we did arrive at night in Abu Dhabi - possibility to communicate with the staff anytime. Special thanks to Sam for contacting us via Whatsapp - possibility to have breakfast and dinner at the Villa - great and friendly service - … :)

There are just two minor topics: - the placement of the mirrors in Villa 2 is not very well chosen. There should be definitely a mirror in the bathroom. Just ask me and I will tell you where it should be placed at ;) - although the beach is clean enough, I think there should be paid a little bit more attention to it

The rubbish left on the beach. Every sun lounger we went to there was rubbish left on the floor and around the tables. Somebody should be employed to clean the beach area because there were lots of water bottles by the rocks next to the ocean and these could be harmful to the sea animals.

I loved how the Island is isolated, the villa has really awesome design and details, loved that they upgraded my reservation to a bigger villa which got me bigger private pool, I enjoyed having the choice of either eating at the restaurant or brining it in the villa, also the staff there are really really nice and polite

Even though it's a resort for relaxing, the idea of not having a gym or anything like that it's not great since the place in an isolated Island
