The location is stunning, the room was lovely - we had a desert view room with a small balcony. Everywhere was immaculate, authentically Arabian and beautiful. The pool area has been thoughtfully designed and when we were there, it was very quiet and no problem getting a cabana or sun bed. I can also highly recommend the sunrise camel ride. Breakfast was pleasant but not outstanding.

We found the staff to be very polite but not very attentive. We had to wait a long time to be served drinks and food at the pool and our dirty plates/cups from lunch were still there when we left the pool at 5pm!

The property is absolutely stunning and the spa is Devine! The staff went completely out of their way to make our anniversary special. The food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend.

The location isn’t really desert resort. It’s more like edge of the desert shrub sand land. Not near fantastic dunes.

Amazing rooms, extremely clean, super nice and friendly people. Was an impressive stay and I would really recommend to go there if you´re happy outside of AbuDhabi. It´s an almost 1h drive into the city, which is for sure the biggest disadvantage if you have to work, but same time the biggest advantage to just be by the pool, relax and enjoy the quietness and the peace of the desert. I really liked the design, the comfy beds, tub, pool. Everything on a very high level. Really great stay. I loved it.

Our overall stay was very good. From the moment we checked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and made us feel at home. One of the best parts of our experience was spending time at the spa. The team there was incredibly kind and attentive, and we had such a relaxing and rejuvenating day because of them. The spa facilities were excellent, and we really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere they created. Throughout the stay, whenever we raised any concerns, the staff responded promptly and with genuine care, which we greatly appreciated.

There were a few areas that could use more attention to detail. We noticed flies in our room, though the staff did address the issue quickly after we reported it. It would also be helpful to have allergen information clearly labeled on items like the macaroons, as this is important for guests with dietary restrictions. Additionally, some of the birthday requests we made for my husband weren’t fully met—for example, we expected a fruit cake but were instead served fruits arranged on a plate. There was also some confusion during the buffet when a server informed us we could order a special dish, only to later clarify that it wasn’t possible.

Very large choice of fresh in house cooked dishes for Breakfast - freshly squeezed orange juice available, fresh seasonal fruits, wide choice of salads, eggs and home made pastries and cakes. The Italian restaurant is also very good with some very top notch meals such as the Truffle Pasta.... It's an amazing spot for Horse lovers like me we went on a ride on the surrounding dunes, it was a very good experience

Plastic Water bottles should be banished from such luxurious hotel for obvious sustainability purpose, take example of some less luxurious hotels (4 stars hotels in Seychelles offer either glass bottles or personal bottles to refill with drinkable water dispensers available in key areas of the premises). Also the management of the pool sunbeds could be enhanced, it's a pity to have customers booking a cabana for the whole day and showing up only a few minutes only within the day or not showing up at all....unfortunately we can't rely on people common sense, hence more strict guidelines should be applied....

The excellent service from staff. All staff were helpful and welcoming. The horseback riding was wonderful - if you are a beginner they will make you feel comfortable and keep you safe, if you are an experienced rider you can canter along a perfect desert trail. English saddles are used. We had a blast. The dune buggy ride in the dunes is fun and beautiful. The food is excellent, particularly the breakfast buffet. The pool is beautiful. It is a special place.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The resort itself is as stunning as it is laid back. A well needed refreshing break from the big city life, a real breath of fresh air. What really took the trip to the next level however was the quality of service and attentiveness of the staff at every turn. We were designated our own personal butler, Kamran, on arrival and he really made sure that our every need was catered for and was always offering useful information and suggestions for us, even bringing us wonderful fruit plates and baklava to our rooms which really was a touch of class!! Everyone from the bar and waiting staff to the chef were extremely welcoming and took the time to have a chat with us throughout our stay. The pool area is simply stunning with plenty of shaded cabanas and a swim up pool bar to grab a refreshing drink. The entire resort has such an awesome Bedouin style retreat vibe and although it was very quiet being off season it still maintained a rich atmosphere. Both restaurants Italian and Moroccan offered up exceptional dishes with extensive wine lists. The only thing I would say is that the lighting could be adapted in the Italian restaurant in the evenings to offer a more intimate ambience as it felt a bit too bright which creates a more formal uptight atmosphere, an adaptable dimming system with some extra candle light would work wonders in there for the more relaxed Italian dining vibe. Finally our room was luxuriously cozy with pool view balcony and no expense spared with regards to attention to detail of what one might need during a vacation. An extra deep bathtub is always welcome and this one was big enough for 2 people and you were able to soak in the bath whilst watching a movie with a glass of wine in hand which is always a luxury comfort! Overall top marks for this place and I will really look forward to returning during the busy season to check the place out with a more lively vibe too.

This is truly one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Nestled in the heart of the desert, it offers an incredibly beautiful and unforgettable stay. The room was exceptionally comfortable, complete with its own veranda, offering a perfect spot to relax. The breakfast was simply amazing, and the pool – it felt like it was just for me, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best pools in the world. I could see myself returning here again and again. The atmosphere makes you feel as though you’ve stepped back into the enchanting world of the Arabian centuries.

The staff were EXCEPTIONAL. They went above and beyond to make sure we were always happy and taken care of. They went the extra mile everytime. The guys at the pool, Kar and the rest. Also Dipesh in f&b, I suppose, was phenomenal. They removed items off the bill that the kids didn't end up eating/liking and offered to replace it. We ate at the Italian restaurant in the evening and had an amazing experience with the staff there, a major plus was that the kids got to feed horses while we had dinner. We also did a horse ride around sunset into the desert which was so beautiful. I would say we recieved one of the best services I have ever experienced throughout our 2 days there. I found it pretty great that they had the calorie count on the menus at the pool bar and the Italian restaurant, I like that extra step. The guys that are with the falcon, hawk and owl are so kind and took time to explain to the kids about each one.

The tub in the bathroom's water was very weak so we couldn't use it, but that was ok. I would recommend adding more things to the pool menu, like a better range of salads, maybe sushi rolls or sashimi/ceviche.

A perfect little escape at Al Wathba A Luxury Desert Resort & Spa from the moment we checked in, everything felt effortless and serene. The room was a blend of comfort and elegance, the service was top-notch, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. Whether it was sipping coffee by the window or unwinding at the spa, it was a beautiful reminder that you don’t need to travel far to feel completely refreshed. Highly recommended for anyone craving a luxury!
