The variety of food. I booked for full board and when we go there for lunch. Its a la carte not buffet. They have to add more variety for dinner and breakfast

Wyndham Dubai Deira is a nice 4 star hotel located in the Gold Souq of Dubai. It is located in a region that is still under construction and therefore there is not very much to see in the local area apart from all the gold and diamond shops, this will of course change as the region is being built as a business centre away from central Dubai. The region is on the Green Line and is 2 stops away from UNION station which drops you at the wonderful waterfront of Al Rigga where you can dine on the river boats or get a water taxi over to the old souk (Old Dubai). The next stop is Al Rigga town centre and then after that the great shopping centre at Deira City Centre. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are massive which is always good news. There is a pool on the roof, which opens at 10am and closes at 7pm, the roof top bar closes at 9pm. You can also get a massage at the spa on the top floor, the prices are not too bad after you deduct the 30% for guests, but let’s be honest, no one would pay the normal list price! The food at the hotel was superb, every day had different breakfast and the options were superb, from curry, to eggs and sausage, lots and lots of fresh fruit and various breads and cereals, with options on yogurts and milks. The evening dinner again was superb, each night had a different theme, and you get to experience food from all different places. I have lots of video of the food to share on my YT. There were various fruit juices, and lots of options on tea including Twining’s English Breakfast Tea, so I was happy, but only one coffee which was always too strong for me, but my friend enjoyed it. Only trivial things, there was nothing at all that would make me not return: 2 of the parasols at the pool were broken, and during our stay no one fixed them, this meant that 4 of the recliners could not be used during the day. The water in the showers is quite a weak flow. Hopefully this will be fixed as the area develops.

Breakfast was good, a nice selection. They run a complimentary shuttle bus to dubai mall and kite beach, which is great, we were only ones on it! It runs at certain times, so be sure to check before you miss the last shuttle. Staff were excellent, pool was very nice, and the view from the roof would be great on a clear day. Supermarket on next block. Close to airport. Big room and big comfortable bed, with complimentary water.

The air conditioning unit in the room is too loud (even on low speed), enough to disturb sleep for one of our group. The sea view includes a 12 lane highway before the 'sea'. The sea is some distance away now thanks to new island with buildings. Location is some distance from the main sights of Dubai. Plastic cups in the bathroom and wooden sticks to stir coffee felt a bit cheap. The shower over bath was a bit awkward to get in and out because of the glass partition that acts as the shower curtain and doesnt move. Would have been nice if there was a shuttle bus that returned after the fountain show at dubai mall.

hotel and room well furnished and new. it is near to metro. ocean view in higher floor is wonderful. staff are friendly. gem sauna and steam are great.

food quality and variety are the poorest. I recommend to make quick improvement. Swiming is small and you can’t enter the roof area to relax before 8 o’clock so you will miss sunrise. One situation happened I didn’t love that there’re some visitors with hotel staff enter the swimming pool area and took some photos for the place and I asked them to stop that and the situation has been solved, but they should prevent similar situation.

Stefanie in the front desk was so helpful. She really made us comfortable during our stay. We like the food it was really tasty. Dinner was delicious. Server in the spicery was so kind and helpful.

What I didnot like was the front desk named Jayson. At the beggining of our check in i ask to please give us a room with sofa bed (which i knew there is) but he ignored that request. He knew that i have 2kids with us. My friends who happend to pay the same rate thier room are with sofa bed the're only couple 🤣🤣🤣. Then i entered in the room upon removing the comforter found some tiny hair. So i went back to the front desk again stafanie assisted me and resolved my issues.

Location: The hotel has sea views and views of the city, including the Burj Khalifa which was great. There’s many amenities we enjoyed as well like the sauna and pool which was included in our package. The location was perfect for us and the Gold souk was within walking reach, the metro was less than a 5 minute walk and there was a local supermarket about 2 minutes away. The city centre was not too far and easily reached by taxi. Rooms: Originally, we were given a connecting room, one with twin beds and one with double beds which is good for some families. The rooms look as they do in the pictures and It was modern and clean. The bathrooms were spacious. We had an issue with our fridge which smelt really bad. First they had someone clean it but when it still had the odour, they changed our fridge completely thankfully. The shower water temperature was often really hot or cold, it was difficult to get a medium temperature. In the room, there is also a hair dryer and iron/ironing board which was convenient. Staff: There were lovely staff all around. In particular Saul was great help throughout our stay and the valet staff. The housekeeping staff were lovely and helpful too. Check in: We did have minor issues checking in, however they were solved relatively quickly. The only recommendation I have is for the team managing the booking.com messages to respond quicker as we initially waited almost a week for a response. And they had told us they changed both our room to twin beds, however this was not the case at check in time as we had one double bed in one of our rooms. Thankfully, the lady at reception resolved this for us and we had the new room ready later in the afternoon. General: They’ve got comfy and aesthetic seating area in the lobby, it did tend to get very packed around the afternoon though. Food: We didn’t get the breakfast package and didn’t visit the restaurants so we don’t know how they were.

General: Also, we had packages sent in boxes from a retailer but were told that boxed items were not allowed due to people sending things on cargo which should be advertised on the website. It was quite frustrating as we had items that we were only placing in our suitcases but were delivered to us in boxes. This information should definitely be relayed to guests beforehand so that they can act accordingly.

Location, facility & breakfast

Dinner without much variety. Also during check in, front desk told us it would be cheaper if book and prepay dinner at front desk. But eventually we found out that we have been charged more. Even though they refunded the overcharged amount after I challenged this. It still gave me a bad impression.

We stayed at the sea view room, it’s clean, bright, really comfortable, all staff is nice. There is a supermarket near the hotel, it takes around 10 minutes walking to the Gold souq, Textile Souq.. and Deira shopping area. The breakfast and dinner are good, when facing dinner with all spicy food, the kitchen arranged non-spicy food for us.

Great quiet and good sized rooms, very comfortable beds and amazing staff.

The only possible complaint I could have was related to the shower floor and bottom grout. There was a good amount of black mold, which was very surprising because everything ... Really everything else was top notch.

It was amazing. Chef Aung made us delicious food at the breakfast buffet in the spicery. The bedrooms were comfortable and clean. The view from the gym was amazing and had a variety of equipment, my wife went to the spa and was worth its price a 30 min scrub and a 1-hour massage. Not to forget about the rooftop pool it was the perfect temperature and the view was amazing. 5 stars in my opinion. I Would recommend

My son had an incident in the pool and the security and the staff attended to his injury straight away. They fixed the problem and gave us 2 complimentary cakes and fruit bowls
