Room 27b had a small patio area which I found to be unusable due to a very loud extractor fan belonging to the kitchen and unpleasant food smells. The noise and smell also affected the lounge area of the room when the window was open. The room above had poor insulation and creaking noises when someone was walking. On the Saturday evening between 8pm and 9pm loud noise from a group of about 8 people right next to the lounge area. I had the impression that this was staff taking a break.

Staff on arrival were very helpful regarding facilities and where a couple of places were located in relation to the hotel. The room was very comfortable and even had a small fridge to chill water. The evening meal was delicious and serving staff were available whenever needed. The choice of breakfast was incredible.

Breakfast staff could have been more attentive. When toast and hot dish arrived, the toast was cold and poached egg hard instead of soft. The waitress made the tea/coffee and took the order for the hot meal part; which then took some time to come. Perhaps there was a shortage of cooking staff on this particular morning.

Parking was difficult

The room was very spacious and the location was perfect. We were able to enjoy the garden with the nice weather, which really made the weekend away feel like a holiday. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was delicious.

It would have been good to have parking closer to the hotel as it was quite challenging dragging our bags down once we had checked in. We were able to get pulled up outside for check out, so thankfully didn’t have to carry the bags back up the hill.

Room was good size and furnishings were great. The breakfast was great with a good choice, Car parking was off site and only 5 minutes walk away.

Unfortunately our room was at the front of the hotel and there was noise from people coming and going from the bar late at night. We could have done with a table or similar in the bathroom to put our toiletries on. Regrets that only instant coffee was part of the standard breakfast offering.

Our room was on the ground floor and it was a suite so that included a small seating area with a lovely sea view. The bedroom was spacious. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was good and once again, a lovely view from the dining room. It was also a good location for visiting the East Neuk of Fife. We would also recommend the Dreel Tavern for food, it is within a short walking distance from The Bank.

Check in and out was in the bar so, you had to hang around and wait until someone was free. On check out ( and at 10.30am ) there were already drinkers there watching TV, complaining about the chat between ourselves checking out and the staff! Really !Not conducive to a pleasant goodbye! Nowhere to park your car close to The Bank but a free car park was fairly close by.

Excellent location in a wonderful Scots village. Reading between those lines (as with any small village): streets are very tight so luggage drop-off is tricky but doable, and driving is nerve-wracking (but normal for a village like this). Parking is a few minutes walk away, but doable and free. The restaurant had good choices and prices were reasonable. Fun atmosphere.

What a great weekend in a delightful venue. Great Hotel with all you need right on hand. The Hotel is split into Bar and restaurant next door with the accommodation through a separate door. Lovely room, good facilities and very clean with tea, coffee biscuits, water in a mini fridge. Great view and giant bed and TV. Restaurant next door was excellent and the food was amazing. Breakfast, well what a delight, great produce and a great variety of continental and cooked and plenty of it. So much that we did not need to eat all day again until late Dinner which again was delicious. Very friendly and attentive staff and what a great atmosphere in the bar during the day.

Only down side was the lack of close car parking. However we were lucky enough to get one of the 3/4 spaces on the street outside the front door. If unable to there are other quite close options for free parking so not a major issue really.

This hotel is a gem. Eegant design, very comfortable bed, clean and spacious rooms, kind and attentive staff, position is excellent. The restaurant for breackfast and dinner has a breathtaking view on the sea and the Dreel. Breackfast is super and service very quick. This was our second stay here and we plan to come back.

I could't say, it was so lovely, there is nothing we didn't like.

The service provided was exemplary. Given check in was officially 2.30pm & we were going to a wedding further up road in Crail to get in super comfortable clean room at 11.30am was so good, thank you again. Room is huge, massive bed, huge tv with Sky, loads storage space, very comfortable, huge bathroom with Bath & separate power shower. Amazing views and lovely viewing chairs too.

Breakfast wasn't overly great but maybe just our own personal wrong choice on the day, however can't knock the actual choice available. The setting again & views are fantastic
