Decent hotel with a large lobby and decent rooms that are clean. The bed was really comfortable. This is as good as a budget hotel gets. The receptionists are good, they know their job. You'll feel okay here.

Location is a bit far from central London, to say the least, 15+ minutes to the tube and you have to walk through a really lousy neighbourhood with drunks, people playing cricket, police patrols, beggars, weed smokers and the like. Kind of rings the alarm bells every time and I'm a big dude. They seem to ignore the tourists but trouble is only a matter of time in Barking.

Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. A special shoutout goes to Victoria, who was the star of the team! Her radiant smile and super customer-friendly approach made us feel instantly at home. She was incredibly helpful, and her genuine care stood out, adding a personal touch to our experience. The buffet was another highlight—packed with delicious options that set us up perfectly for the day ahead. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and ideal for a relaxing stay. What made our visit even better was the excellent public transport connectivity. Getting to central London and other key locations was super convenient, making it easy to explore the city without any hassle. Overall, the service was absolutely top-notch, and the staff’s dedication to making guests feel special was unmatched. If you’re planning a trip to London, ibis London Barking is a brilliant choice. Highly recommended—we’d gladly return for another amazing stay!

Stayed here several times over the past 10 years. Not much to complain about here. Night manager could be a bit more customer friendly, but the other staff I encountered at reception and the bar were excellent. Rooms are really good value given London prices generally and facilities the same. Great location only 10 min walk from Barking station where the tube will have you in central London in around 35 minutes.

Choice of draught beers at the bar is minimal. Only lagers and Guiness.

The bed was so comfortable and I loved the shower. Staff were really helpful and accommodating thank you! Food menu was quite good enjoyed my chicken strips and tried both deserts. I would recommend using this hotel

Cleaners could do a better job at cleaning to be honest left me with a dirty mug and didn’t clean the bathroom. Not a big deal tho staff at reception would have accommodated if I had asked. Could offer kids portions on the menu

Allocated a quiet room on a high floor as a light sleeper to minimise noise disturbance. Very clean and tidy and all the staff I encountered were very polite and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well furnished for an overnight stay. I actually thought it was good value for money compared to staying in London!

I found it difficult to find in-room information about the restaurant i.e. menu choices. Quite a small restaurant area which I didn't end up eating in as the reviews I had read were not favourable regarding quality of food.

Good value for money with the hotel at a decent standard. Room was clean and comfortable, facilities were good and staff were friendly and helpful.

I didnt really notice before booking but its situated towards the edge of Barking and so to get there by public transport would have required quite a walk from the tube which at night would be very dark, isolated and potentially dangerous. We ended up getting Ubers to the hotel from central London as a result and so the saving of staying in Barking was cancelled by the cost of the taxis! Also confusing is that there is another IBIS very close by which is called IBIS Budget, but which is actually a separate hotel - I ended up getting a taxi to the wrong one initially!

The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. Lovely soft towels. The bed was really comfortable and so were the pillows. Tea and coffee making facilities were a welcome bonus and if you needed any extra they were available at the restaurant. The food was pretty tasty. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Not a great choice of cereal for breakfast.

Staff is very professional and friendly. Also, they have always shown me room to accommodate my poor mobility and healthy issue..this time a need extra pillows for my back and ice pack to be frozen on the hotel fridge. I really appreciated all the help and kindness from ibis Staff in Ibis London barking hotel.

The smoke of cigarette that same guest decided to have in room went until the corridor. But staff promptly deal with that

Everything good except your car parking arrangement

I don’t like the new car parking system there, the machine charged me double one time , and on 4 May 2025 I paid £10 at machine for just for the stay of one day but I got a penalty notice from the parking company, it’s very strange so I had two bad experience so far from your new parking system.

smoothe check in process, amazing staff. i was a little worired the hotel would have a lot of noise being on the A13/A406 one of the two but there was no noise in the rooms. We booked late and had no issues. easy to get to

The only one con i think i found was having to pay for parking. Considering the hotel has a car park and no where else to park and nothing near by it should be free for guests to use.
