The staff were amazing! I have been coming to Blackpool for nearly 40 years so know what to expect when booking a cheap last-minute break in the school holidays. The Highbury Hotel exceeded my expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in town Bethany and Lily went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay, nothing was too much trouble and tbh I've stayed in 5* hotels and haven't received the hospitality I received here. Breakfast was lovely. Perfect for families. Fantastic staff
Nothing really. Maybe could do with WiFi but we had mobile data so didn't affect us really.

Couldn’t ask for more for only £18 for the night room was a fair size for one person and had my own bathroom The host Sarah was very kind and polite and personally showed me to my room and made sure I was ok with everything. The room included very comfortable bed as I slept very well on it possibly more comfy than my own bed at home, it had kettle and tea making facilities, it’s a cheap and affordable room for a solo traveller and is located just down the promenade and 15 min walk from Blackpool Pleasure Beach would stay again as I enjoyed my stay
Only a couple things I was firstly left outside a locked door pressing the door bell and had answer Was close to calling the property until a gent called James opened the door and thought I was messing about with the door bell when I explained all I wanted was to check in, other than that there is possibly one towel which looked like a bath mat by the shower and the property has no signal or WIFi, Sarah said they are working on this, breakfast wasn't served until 9am so I couldn’t make use of this as I had to dash off earlier but it did smell nice as I left the room

Phenomenal value for money. Breakfast included. Large en suite with plenty of very hot water, shower very good. Towel provided. Warm. Convenient location for town, central & south piers. Fast food nearby. Nice airy dining area. Run by young lads who are trying to make a go of it & deserve to be given a chance. I would return.
When paying only £12 a night, including breakfast, for a single en suite room, it would not be fair to be critical. Minor issues, such as confusion over breakfast times, that will be resolved with increased confidence gained from more experience and better communication/interpersonal skills.

Am not going 2 pull the place down as book and see for yourselves but I can only comment for myself.the place might not be everyone's cup of tea but for the price i paid with free breakfast was far to cheap and a also want to point out the room was well warm.the breakfast was spot on and the host were brilliant

Great location and great staff followed by a good free breakfast
Mattress rock hard with springs sticking in me all night .. place is a little run down could do with updating but it’s normal for Blackpool standards .. had to clean the shower myself before I used it as I found some not great things I would rather not say about

For the price paid it was a bargain. Room was clean and owners where friendly. Got the family room so had 2 single beds and a double bed . Room had it's own toilet and shower. Street noise was minimal we didn't get disturbed by passers by. Nice to wake up to smell of cooking bacon. Breakfast was brought to the table quick and hot just how it should be . Also managed to get a parking space just round the corner from highbury on the next street which was a bonus to not have to pay parking costs.
Although I would stop again . We got room 9 and I think 2 flights of stairs with a 3 and 4 year old is a little much. The tv wasn't working and with my 2 littles one a little noise to occupy them is needed sometimes .

This was an exceptional find Highly recommend, I really enjoyed my stay here. The manager Ryan and the staff was so attentive, and there customer service was exceptional, nothing was to much trouble and they went above and beyond to make my stay, warm, comfortable. The hotel was super clean, warm and inviting, throughout like a home from home. He's only been there 2 weeks and already making some amazing changes which I'm excited to come back and see them all again. The cooked breakfast was on point and tasted amazing thankyou lads you did amazing job.5star.
There was absolutely nothing I didn't like.

I contacted the property prior to my visit to request a slightly earlier check-in, the manager Ryan went out of his way to make this possible. On arrival I was shown the room before checking in and leaving a security deposit. There was a new TV in the room with a dvd player and a good selection of dvds to borrow. Breakfast was lovely. Ryan was a fab host/manager. The kids loved him. Nothing was too much trouble. I will say if you want 5* then this isn't the place for you. This is cheap & cheerful. A budget B&B I payed £10 pppn I got what I paid for with a bonus of an en-suite & a good breakfast.
The room we stayed in could do with some tlc and new blinds on the windows.

Ok ... Firstly don't expect a 5 star hotel..its not but....£11 for a double room (room 6) with ensuite, full English breakfast and 100yds from the promenade...its perfect for the money. Bed was comfy, hotel is quiet, TV and coffee making facilities in the room. Your only here to sleep n shower, its not your house. The cheapest room was £8 for a single when i booked. I review everywhere i go in the country, I'm not a local and not connected to the hotel in any way....see my other reviews....2million+ views....and i don't miss anyone whether it's good or bad service but these young folk running the hotel deserve credit for what they are wanting to do with it....4 weeks they've been doing it. Unfortunately its Blackpool and competition is harsh but give them a try... Really nice folk and doing their best. Give them a try without the rose tinted glasses on.... Support them to achieve what they're attempting to do, hotel trade isn't easy i was involved in it for years.... I've gave them a few tips which hopefully they'll take on. Cheap and cheerful Nice staff Cooked Breakfast included but also cereal choice too
Parking a bit tricky on street... But free. A hoover is definitely required.

The Highbury is the best ‘cheap cheap’ Blackpool hotel we have stayed at so far. £20 on a Saturday night is phenomenally good; including a basic cereal breakfast. Definitely going to aim for this place again if it’s available.
The parking has been completely ruined by the council and turned into zones. It’s a great shambles; basically stealing taxpayer-owned parking spaces and charging residents for them. Not the hotels fault and it was easy enough to park a ten minute walk away up the road
