Our 1st stay at Old Kings Head and what a pleasant surprise. A 2 night stay including an evening function with full catering service. Impressive surroundings and attentive, polite staff. Great bar and dining areas, excellent breakfast / choice. Rooms are large and comfortable (upgraded room option taken) and quiet. Plenty of off street parking. The whole place is immaculate with a very nice outdoor terrace. Will have no hesitation in returning here again.

I had no complaints during our stay although breakfast took a little time to be served to us on one day. It was delivered with an apology.

Very clean , very comfortable, whee wed n we arrived we were met by the manager , who showed us to our room , and generally welcomed us .

At the moment there is no breakfast or meals available, due to refurbishment, hopefully when we go again, it will be up and running . Also a small fridge in the room wound be great , as my husband has medication that he takes every day which has to be kept in a fridge. Luckily we have a small portable fridge we take every where with us .

I was here for work and the location was perfect for me. I didn't realise it wasn't actually a pub so half expected to be able to get a meal here in the evening, my fault for not reading the blurb properly. It's a BandB only but they do breakfasts and afternoon tea to order. The room and bathroom was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was 100% accessible, so a wet room. No that I needed it, but lovely to see. The shower was great, hot and powerful with nice hair and body products. The bed was huge and comfortable. I was warm and cosy all night, the heaters in the room are very effective. It was very quiet and I slept incredibly well. I didn't order a breakfast so can't comment on that. I went to the Black Bull for my evening meal which was 2 mins walk away and had a great meal for a few quid. They were very welcoming. A really nice place to stay.

No criticisms

The hotel was a beautiful historical property that is illustrated on the walls. The room was lovely and so spacious, fantastic towels and extras. The hotel is set in the center of the village over looking the church which I could see from my window. The facilities downstairs were great with a function room and restaurant. Breakfast was really nice with brilliant coffee. I felt very welcomed both me and my little dog who was able to sit with me at breakfast. Love to come again and would definitely recommend it.

Evening meal may be an idea but there is a good pub across the road

Never seen such an immaculately clean room (we were in Baldock Room) and gorgeous bathroom, even when we've paid significantly more elsewhere! Extremely well presented, comfy bedroom, and the shared areas of the inn were lovely too. Also, the food (both breakfast and lunch menus) was superb and very reasonably priced. Dog friendly (Ted loved his stay, too 🐶 )

Quite a bit of road noise at night (but it was a Friday night and our bedroom was at the front of the building looking on to the high street). Facilities more than made up for this, though, to be fair.

Great parking area, directly in front of the rooms. Everything looks newly renovated and wel maintained. A good selection of room options with accessibility and excellent restaurant/bar and garden seating areas.

My only negative was that they have a physical key, instead of an electronic key card, which makes getting through doors whilst juggling luggage easier. Other than that is was fantastic

Beautifully decorated rooms with the basic amenities (tea station, hairdryer, toiletries and fan). Good instructions to access rooms using lockbox and lots of parking outside. Lots of outside space to sit next to old cafe on a sunny afternoon. Will definitely stay again.

Sadly they don’t do breakfast any more but within walking distance to Co-op. The windows in my room wouldn’t open so I propped open the door to get some fresh air.

Great location and lovely room. The Staff were so friendly and helpful. Good wifi in main pub building and easy parking. Very well placed for a number of birding spots and nature reserves (Frampton Marsh, Frieston Shore, and Gibraltar Point). Breakfast was lovely and can be booked in advance by messaging them.

Breakfast service was a little slow

Free parking right outside the door. Pet friendly. Clean well appointed rooms. Nice to have usb charger in the sockets next to the bed. Didn't use tv but this was slightly obscured by the clothes horse. Didn't have breakfast but did see that this was located in a separate building which also had a small lounge and looked very cosy.

The tv position - that's all.

Lovely decor, thoughtful touches, well organised for a relatively small space.

I didn't realise it was disabled friendly so the sink and mirror were set quite low, grab rails and a wet room as opposed to a shower. The latter not necessarily an issue but water travelled all over the room. Neither a problem for a one night stay but might be if the stay was longer.
